Accent's don't have names I don't think O_o...just New York accent and stuff...

But if you want to sound like a New Yorkin, then you gotta listen to people from new york.

They "ar" like in words Park, Car, Far is pronounced "aw" instead. Eh, just watch the simpsons and listen to the mayor talk.

As mobsters go, it's the Bronx accent as far as I know...except for the stereotypical mob boss it's a lot more nasaly with a bit of an Italian flair to it, so if you can manage to make yourself sound like that you might get a part.

But you won't have to do much with it, as we all know that the only word mobsters are capable of saying is "nyahhhhhhhhh"

Chiru

I dun use this account any mo'

Oh my god, our school did that play last year! I remember they had guns with silly string in them, and the good guy was Bugsy, and the bad guy was Dirty Dan or something like that.

Anyway, you could watch some kind of NY mafia movie and listen to the way they talk. That's the only suggestion I really can give.
If you need me, I'm now using the account "BlueberryPoffin". Look for me. :D

Rent the Godfather...all your problems will be solved
There's a bit of a difference between mobster and mafioso...but yeah, pretty much everyone talks like Don Corleone when they're trying to sound like they're in an organized crime syndicate, no matter what ethnicity that syndicate is...and for someone in England, I'm sure Italian is a lot easier to imitate than an accent indigenous to one American city in a bygone time period that they've likely never heard before.

I second the Godfather motion.
