I've been a very bad noob when I joined here, especially to the Ash fanclub, all the spam and double posting eklaboo, and other chennelings.

But now, I'm really careful not to break anymore rules. and besides I have a hidden agenda to fulfill, so i say i've changed a lot.

Well sweeties, back then, when I was a newbie:
I wasn't a mod. =p
I typed in blue.
I didn't say sweetie.
I had obessesstion with Whitney.
I hadn't finish my Pokmon Ice hack.
I tried to type with perfect grammar.

Now:
I'm a mod. =3
I type in deepskyblue.
I say sweetie.
I STILL have an obbession with Whitney/
I STILL haven't finish my Pokmon Ice hack.
I try to type with perfect grammar.

So sweeties, I haven't changed much. XD!!
Not much has changed of me since I started here nearly a year or so ago. (other than going through who knows how many usernames)

Since I started using 'ottermi619', I began signing off most of my posts with an extra comment line or two.

And yes, I still have a tendency to troll out.

BTW, yesterday evening, Jeremy wrote:

Oh no no no! *glomps Whitney* I'm jmore obsessed, and have been since the beginning!

I have in many ways but only subtle changes.

For a start I'm much better at typing. More fluent at communicating & my grammar in general is better. I suppose I act differently IRL aswell but not that much of a change.

Before

My Username was FR/LG master
I was a noob
I typed lots of noobish things(mostly spam, i'm sorry to admit)
I never used capital letters
I declared myself a Glitch Master, and had 4 screenshots of glitch pokemon in R/S to prove it
I didn't use ..... or XD as often(XD)
I was a loner

Now

My username is Dylan
I'm no longer a n00b, and my posts are actually legible
I still don't use capitals very often.... but I do more often now
I still call myself a Glitch Master, for I am, but the Glitch pokemon in my sig went away....
I use XD and .... a lot
I'm still a loner, save for a few close friends I have here....

So.... yeah, i've definitely changed.... XD

I have changed, I feel more confident than I used to, but I've never really been popular, I just make the odd post here and there, I like to try lots of things, so it's taken me to a lot of forums. Not many people proberbly know me but meh, I still have a great time! ^__^
Oh, and I use stuff like XD and ^__^ a lot more now.

I have changed ALOT over the time I've been on this forum. I used to be super spammy and I had: .................. in all of my posts. Now I'm not as spammy and I'm alot more mature. Most of my change had to do with the people I've met here that have been good friends! ^^

This is a very interesting .

When I joined PC, I was not always the best member. I had a lot of bad grammar and made a lot of mistakes on posts. I was n00bish a lot of times , caused an annoyence and was very gullible .I seemed to be a big post-count freak but I don't care about that anymore. I seem to changed, less n00bish posts. Better grammar posts and so on.

I feel different now from before.

Even though this isn't my first forum, I've still changed a lot over the time here. But if you factor in all the time I've spent at forums in general...jeez, I've changed a lot.

When I first became an active user of the internet, it was sometime in 2000, though I wouldn't be able to say when that was--likely in the spring or summer, I assume. I started out with Napster. I would sit there all night downloading music and chatting with my friends since at the time, it had a chat function. I gradually moved on to Yahoo! Messenger and the Yahoo! Chat Rooms. The Pokmon one's piqued my interest and I ended up becoming a frequent user there. I picked up some fairly bad typing habits, such as chatspeak and the like, but I did improve my typing speed and I was introduced to the idea of online friends. I'm not really in touch with any of the people I knew from back then, though. ;_;'

I joined my first forum in late 2000 or early 2001--admittedly, I can't really remember. I know the first forum I was really active in, TPM, I joined in March 2001. I was such a n00b back then. I posted a thread to test my signature out as one of my first posts and it got closed. I was kind of embarassed but luckily that didn't stop me. I continued on and found a niche in the fanart section. It was so spammy back then! I look back at my old posts, like request topics for my art, and I'm appalled! Believe it or not, I used chatspeak the whole time and I was just so...awful. XD It's so embarassing to look back at that now!

Eventually, I started to see a faint connection between people who mod and people who use decent grammar and spelling...so I started to work on that. I may not have been perfect, since I was only 12 at the time and I still didn't know much abuot grammar other than what I knew by imitation (they weren't big on that in the school system yet--just on spelling at that time). I did get by, though, and I'm happy to say that I improved greatly in that respect...likely over the summer of 2001. ^_^; Ever since, I've been steadily improving to the point where, for the most part, it pains me not to use proper grammar, etc. XD

Ah...what next...popularity. I've never really been a popular person online. At least, I've never noticed it, at any rate. Whenever I join a forum, most of the time I'm not really content to just post--if it's big enough, I'll join with he intent to have fun at first, but eventually my goals almost always become modding. XD;; I admit, when I joined PC I didn't want to become a mod right away but after a week, I ended up making that my goal, if I remember correctly. It might be because mod (used to) = praise, so my ego fuelled that all the time. 8D But fact still remained I'm normally too shy (or was for the last few years of my life, anyway), both online and offline, to really get into things and make myself known. o_o; So...with the exception of having been staff at several forums...without that staffness I'm not normally popular, I hate to say. <_<;

If it weren't for forums, I honestly don't know where I'd be today. When my family moved from NS to Ontario in 2001, the only redeeming part was the fact that I could get back on the internet and, to my online friends at the forums and places I went, there was no difference--I could always talk to them no matter where I was and that was comforting. Now, I've sort of merged online and offline life together--if my offline friends don't already frequent PC, they at least know enough about it to follow the conversation when it turns to that, since PC is now my home forum. XD;

Overall, I've just become a lot happier due to forums and the internet in general. ^_^; They've changed me so much and connected me to so many great people--I can't even imagine where I'd be right now if I hadn't started using it all those years ago. <3

Sorry about the long post; this topic just inspires me. XDD

More people should post long, makes for better conversation and a brighter PC future rather then strung up on rule problems with things like spam. :D

Have I changed 'here'? Slightly, not much, mainly from the 7-8 years of previous friendship experience at other places on the Internet. But this was the first and only message board I really keep up to date on every while since people actually listened to me when I first got here. Fortunately when I was new this place was new also, so that must have helped a lot as well aside from the new user on an old message board scenario. Anyway, I'll save the story for people who feel like a peek at my old time machine but long story short, friends in real life I have are totally different then mostly anyone I have met over the internet in the past and it makes for great experiences, I've learned how to communicate with not all but a lot of different kinds of people, which is a very handy tool for the future. And some of the friendships I made years and years ago I still have to this very day and I'm proud and appreciate it very much so because it gets kind of old talking to your buddies just about yesterday's sports score every while, it's good to actually get to know the person, makes for a more comfy environment and easier life style.

Hah..I can almost guarantee that I've been on forums longer than mostly all of you (10 and a half years) and I seriously haven't changed that much. I think it's because I don't have 2 sides. I don't really have an internet side and RL life, I act the same in both.

So if you ever see me in real life, I'll be a loud, obnoxious ham. fo' real...

Of course I changed from my year of being here. Before it will be times that I can't leave here...I am here every single day, night, and post like crazy! I was just want meet everyone that who have the same interests as me. And that is my love of anime, fanfiction, and Pokemon.

The interests are still there, but not as much I was used to(I used to be a avid Pokeshipper-not anymore-just a little bit). I still love everyone here. They are in my heart...I will never forget them. Even now my real life is taking over...so I haven't been here or any forums I used to go. *sigh*

Let just say...I got more busy so I can't be on like every single day I used to. Just last week...I was gone a week. ;; I haven't left for my trip yet...see my real life got in the way. And it will continue, but I will try to come.

With my time on PC? Sure I've changed a lottttttttttttttttttt......................

Seeing how I made posts like.
"your rite pokemon_rules1988 it is Electrode.

Next question.
How many brothers and sisters dus brock have."

"I ges thay like me."

"Hay whats up whit my Posts it says fifty some thing I had over 100 posts. And like 7 Referrals."

"Yea your rite your dead. I tran my pokemon."
(PC was my first forum XD)

I joined PC Feb 24th, 2003 (2 months short of being here 3 years). And that was like ages and ages ago. From what I see only like 4 or 5 people that posted in this thread was around back then (as in a poster on the old PC). With my time on PC so much has changed. Upgrades have come. Tons and tons of new layouts (there were only a hand full when I was a member). And so many forums added/removed/changed. Spammers and spam attacks come and go with the Staff dealing with them. Members has come and gone. Lots and lots of friends have come and gone. PC has went from a forum with under 1,000 members (back then members that didn't post was deleted, so when I joined we had like 800) to now a forum with over 16K members. How many members can say they saw PC grow from a small Pokemon forum that started not all that long before you joined to a forum that is now the largest english Pokemon forum in the world? I can, but it has it's price to pay as well. I've been around so long that I've outlasted so many friends, so many Staff members. It's always sad to see a friend leave or fade away from PC. I've had so many like that, and it's sad sometimes. I never get to talk to them anymore, I never get to see them on anymore. Sure most of us has a few good friends on PC. But members like Soph, Tommy, Scotty, Ally, Jon, Claire, Dawson, Abby, Nick, Brandon, SA and so on I'll never see anymore or I rarely see. Times change and a lot of members I used to talk to a lot I never talk to anymore (like DT, we used to spam each other's PM box with junk, day in and day out. But we never talk anymore).
Is change good? Sometimes it is, some times it's not. Like in the case of me being a n00b it was a great thing that changed. But friends leaving and moving on, that's change I wish wouldn't happen. PC growing to what it is is really good. But sometimes I do miss how close everyone was on the old PC. I know the past is the past and we can't live in it. But to me somethings shouldn't change, and I wish they didn't. I know I can't make Soph or Scotty come back to PC. But I wish it'd happen, no one likes to lose friends, I just hate it has happened to me more times then I can count.

On top of all that I used to be very very stiff as a Mod and even as an S-Mod. No joking, no "XD" or any of that sort of stuff. When you're around almost 3 years you do see lots of things change and yourself being one of them. I can go back and look at my old posts, I'd welcome every single new member, now I don't ever go to that forum. I'd always post in the Pokemon gaming forums (that's where I was Modded), but now I never set foot in that forum (I guess a main reason is because it's over run by n00bs). I used to help everyone and I'd never get mad at anyone (not even n00bs), now I'm like "Don't get on my bad side, you won't like it".
Sure I've changed a lot on PC, but PC has also changed a lot to me. We can't stop change no more then we can stop the sun from setting (and no, none of you go "Well lock the whole forum and that'll stop change" XD). So I'm going with the flow in saying, most of the change on PC was for the better and worked out great in the end. But it still doesn't change the fact I miss old friends or old ways of the members (like were the members would listen to Staff, get a warning and go with it without making some big deal about it and so on).

So remember all of you, keep your nose clean and remember your past but don't live in it. XD
