Okay, I guess I'll start this off with a question. Are we allowed to share our Nintendo DS Friend Codes on here? Friend Codes are the codes used to challenge each other via Nintendo DS Wi Fi. I think it would be pretty cool if we could make a giant list of all the Nintendo DS users with all of their Friend Codes listed here. I'll add mine once an admin or mod gives the okay.

By the way, if this could be stickied, I'd be glad to keep the list updated on the first post. Please and thank you. =]

I don't see why not. I must admit, I'm not as intuned in this as I'd like to be. I don't have any Wifi DS games yet. Give me a week though. Umm...I see nothing wrong with this, I just don't know what it entails. Can you provide me with more information? I won't sticky it, because we don't have any stickied threads for other online game type things.

Might make a universal list when I have time.

Okay, here's all that friend codes are entitled to:
When people play online, they can use a 'Friend Search' on certain games. This lets them search for and challenge only the people on their friends list. In Animal Crossing, you can visit/be visited by people whose Codes you have. There's really nothing (IMO) dangerous about it, but Nintendo considers it 'Personal Information,' so you can't post it around their boards. Don't really know why, though...

If Nintendo doesn't allow it, on their own boards, for their own products then I think I'll follow suit. If you want someone's friend code, PM them. Maybe making a directory of it is a bad idea because then you can be on Friend's Lists of people you don't know.

Quoted from NOA_Alex:
You are not permitted to share your NWC ID, AIM or Friend Code on a post, in your profile, through PM, or in a sig. Please do not discuss other ways of sharing codes either.

This policy was created by Nintendo of America and we have been asked to follow these rules.

I'm not sure if this applies to other forums

A big directory style thread I won't allow, I'm fine with PMing. It wouldn't be that big a difference from asking for an email address. So, PM away. *locks*

(Why Nintendo won't allow any trading of it is odd. How do they want people to get the codes and use them on their own products?)
