well, I think evolution is the right theory, it has proof, I'm not bashing religion or anything, some things in the bible have been proved too, but evolution is the right and scientifically proved theory

They could be true at the same time. The Bible is conveniently ambiguous on the origin of the wives that bore the babies leading to Noah, and again on the wives that apparently bore the children that created civilisation. I'd have to say that evolution resulted in some humans whereas others are descendants of Adam and Eve.

I think that we all came from video games. You see, once apon a time, God was playing Kingdom Hearts. And then Sora, Riku, and Kairi came out of the TV and had threesomes all the time, having loads of babies. The babies had babies that had babie that had babies until now. So we all came from Kingdom Hearts.

I kinda believe in both. But more in the "evolution" category. It's just more believeable.

Hey Simon, that's a good theory but I think in the bible it says that they were human.

I believe in the Adam and Eve theory. Evolution has not been scientifically proven, if it was then where is the "missing link" everybody talks about? And also if it was proven it wouldn't be a "theory" it would be a "law". First it's a theory and after it has been proven it becomes a law.

Personally I'm more into the adam and eve theory, although I'm also open to the theory we came from tomatoes and the grim reaper's scythe is nothing more than, in fact, a tomato. So the next time you see someone eating a tomato, call them a dirty cannibal.
By the way, I'm glad this debate isn't getting too heated, like other things concerning religion have (E.g, which came first, the chicken or the egg?)

Can I say that God created the microorganisms that eventually evolved into humans?
That's exactly what I believe.
Evolution is not separated from God. God created the microorganisms to evolve into us as Simon had said.
That's one reason why I dislike the way people say that Science is totally separated from God. God created Science, not people in laboratories. God = Science.

Allstories, that's a warning for posting moronic pictures. Grow up. I find it ironic that you're commenting on how a religious debate is impossible on PC when you're the one with the OMLOLZ CHRSTIASNS R RETADRDZ attitude.

I believe in neither. I think that we were always existing...... but sometimes I even doubt that. I just think we came from another planet coughmayacough. I like to think outside the box. Besides I really do believe in extraterrestrials.
I'm a big thinker on these things and wonder very often.
One tip, if you try to imagine us always existing, dont because it'll just give you a headache and maybe even anxiety. Trust me, I've been there.

Evolution. You really expect me to believe that there was this guy named 'God' who had childern appear out of nowhere, and make the world? No, evolution was most likely the way it happened. The first people might have been Adam and Eve, but they had to come from somewhere. That somewhere is the monkey.

*slips in to toss in his two cents*
I personally would be leaning more towards the evolution theory. I mean, yeah, as someone already said, it's just a theory, but then again, a lot of widely accepted things are nothing but theories.
Anyways, I'm just leaning more towards evolution because I've taken something I heard in Dogma quite seriously..

Religion was never meant to become a lifestyle, or anything. Just a really good idea.

But meh, to each his own. =D
That's my two cents.

Guess what? Last night for Christmas, during my meditation, the Christmas Princess answered my question through telekinesis or whatever she does:
According to her, this is how everything started
Originally said by the Princess of Christmas
We really started out as microscopic organisms, so small that not even a really advanced microscope could see us. Microscopic organisms were formed from the very first thing in the galaxy. The very first thing was spirituality and feeling. Eventually we built up from microscopic organisms and every time we died, we decomposed and formed into a world. Then for a reason you have yet to learn from me, the earth began to form
I think she's right, honestly. It makes the most sense. And it also explains why meditation is good for you.

I'm surprised this is still open. If this thread doesn't get closed, that'll be a PC first. Has PC suddenly allowed topics like this? Or has the staff not noticed this thread yet O_O

oh well

I believe in God and the bible and Adam and Eve.
Lets just say we're giving it a fighting chance. XD

Anyway I believe the Bible (Adam and Eve, 6 day Creation etc).
For me I'll just go to the base of both Evolution and Creation (I'll make it short).

Evolution: Big Bang. Were you there? It's as simple as that, was anyone around back then to see the Big Bang happen?

Creation: Adam and Eve. As the Bible says, Adam and Eve was the first people. And their third son was name Seth (go read the Bible to know about the first 2). And as we know Moses wrote Genesis, and Moses was around when Seth was (Seth was an old man when Moses was a kid). So he could have got some info from the son of the first man. The Bible doesn't tell that Moses got info from Seth, but it could have happened. Even if it didn't people was around back then.

What I'm saying to say is, Evolution has this big gap of guesses. The Bible tells how the world was started. You can't find a book like the Bible for the Evolution side, because they say it happened millions of years ago (thus guesses).

And what gripes me is how they try to pose it as facts. Several times in history, well respected scientists have --lied-- just to make evolution seem plausible (Pilt down man, Lucy, bones, archaeology etc). Christianity has always had the bible, the infallible word of God. It's been unchanged since it was first made and it's never had to be edited. It even SAYS in the bible that God's Word will be preserved for as long as humanity exists.

Basically means, that no matter how hard people try, the bible will always always always exist. Period.
