Since I'm taking a Drawing course at my college, I have been practicing drawing anime characters on my sketch book for the past 2 months, and the more I drew, the more I was improving my drawing skills. I still need some practice for making my drawings more complex though.

Now without further a due, here are my 1st ever anime doodles! YAY! :D

Reference books are a good place to start :) But if you are going to use them you should probably give credit that the original drawings came from that book. :)

Also, Shenlong, you have made a lot of separate threads in the Art Gallery - it might be better to make one thread for all of your art, as it's a lot cleaner ^^ If you wanted I could change the title of this thread to reflect that. :)

YOU ARE CORRECT SIR! Since I'm still a noob at drawing anime characters, I needed someway that'll teach me how to get started on drawing anime characters and so I've decided to checkout that book for some pointers.

And as for the eyes I did, I've basically used to pencil to draw all my sketches. Oh and I did not traced these drawings either.

I knew you didn't trace them. They are good, but Try to put some of your own creativity into them & make them your own characters. You learn better that way.

Taking drawings from a book is a great place to start!
I like how you are progressing into the manga-drawing world-like thing!
Good work!

Next time you should just take reference from the book (mind you, I have that book as well xD) and draw your own drawings in your own style. Im sure you can develop a style that you can get use to and like!

Once again, good work!
