The idea for this thread is simple!
Simply create a short summary for your favourite game, both serious and fun ones.
(I for one, can only come up with stuid ones).
For example:
Half-Life
A game where you play a physicist who graduated from MIT, who wears spiffy orange armour and fights aliens with a crowbar.
Half-Life: Opposing Force
A game where you play a US marine who is out to hunt down the physicist who graduated from MIT. The US marine wears spiffy black armour and fights aliens with a wrench.
Half-Life: Blue Shift
A game where you get to play a security guard who owes the physicist who graduated from MIT a can of beer. You don't get to wear spiffy armour, but you still get to fight aliens with a crowbar.
Half-Life 2
The sequel to the game where you play a physicist who graduated from MIT, who wears spiffy orange armour and fights aliens with a crowbar.
Metal Gear Solid
A game where you are a man in your 40's, who likes hiding in boxes and playing hide-and-seek with other grown men. In military base island of course.
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
In addition to the man who likes hiding in boxes, you get to play as a pretty boy who likes walking naked in the cold.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
A game where you are a man in your 40's, who likes hiding in boxes and playing hide-and-seek with other grown men. It's set in Russia during the Cold War, of course.
