Tensa Zangetsu is awesome. But weird. Do you think that the reason Ichigo's bankai is different from most is because of his inner hollow?

You have a nice point Digital, but I don't really think it's because of that..maybe just because he wanted Ichigo's to be seperated from the rest..which are all like big massive swords..I dunno..

And sorry, only..1 CO..but, being as he doesn't even post here..I may change it soon

And welcome to all the new members ^^

No, I don't think so, although it's an interesting theory. Most Bankai are pretty varied anyways; you have the giant ones like Mayuri/Renji's/Komamura's, you have the weird area-affecting ones like Tousen's, and then you have ones like Byakuya's (which are essentially pumped-up versions of their shikai ability). I guess Ichigo's would probably be closest to Byakuya's; Getsuga Tenshou is pretty much just a massive blast, similar to his Shikai ability. The bit where it compresses his spiritual power to make him stronger and faster is a nice touch, too, even if it does kinda hurt him (guess that'd be the result of rushing the process of getting Bankai).

In short, Bankai is unique to each Shinigami. Ichigo's just happens to be MORE unique. Renji's right, it's probably just because he's the main character.

Everyone's bankai's are pretty amazing! I like them. XD I think I really like Ichigo's and Renji's the best.

Well I stared to get the manga. It is pretty good. I have vol 9-11 so far. I thought I start back and work to the front. XDD Viz changed a few things, but not too much. I will get 1-8 soon. Vol. 12 is coming out next month, I am getting that. XD

And right now I am downloading the 2nd OVA! I can't wait til I watch it. :3

Thankfully, Viz hasn't totally destroyed the Bleach manga; they've gotten a few jokes wrong here and there, but that's about it. They've only really censored one thing, and that was Isshin's lines about his daughters being drunk and wearing no panties at the vol. 8 fireworks festival (a conversation that never occured in the anime; the incredibly shortened fireworks festival was one of the anime's more disappointing ommissions, actually). The other mistakes have generally been translations errors; this includes Renji's statement in vol. 6 that HE was brought up by the Kuchiki family, and the naming of Orihime's brother as "Kakei" in vol. 1 (his name is Sora, and this isn't revealed in that vol. anyways. The Kanji was misinterpreted).

Of course, their tendency to change around the order in which names are presented, as well as their incredibly stupid habit of using only the cheesiest euphemisms in place of words like "d*mn", and other such 4-letter expletives, AND their refusal to keep honorifics does make for some awkward dialogue, keeps their adaptation of Bleach from being even close to perfect. But at least we can be thankful that tit's better than their adaptation of Naruto.

The manga is much better than the anime, as you will find. Not only does the anime lack a good amount of Kubo Tite's real style and flair, but the way that it handles the early story leaves much to be desired (particularly within the bit about Orihime's brother and the emergence of Orihime's powers).

On a final note, i can't wait for the 2nd OVA to be subbed.

Well I have never really payed much attention to OVA's myself, not even BLEACH ones, so maybe I could download them just because it's BLEACH, and the reason is, that OVA's have nothing at all to do with the actually storyline of BLEACH

Actually, I'd recommend it. In the long run, it's not so bad, especially for a Viz Shonen Jump title. The cons just don't outweigh the pros of having the manga.

i dont htink ive watched any of the ova's D: can a get a pm link for them ^^
I wouldn't bother with the first OVA; it's just a crappy version of vol. 3's events (the whole Grand Fisher, Memories in the Rain bit). The second one was just released subbed; do you have bittorrent?
