Hey i have pokemon emerald. i just beat Juan for the 8th badge... and i was having doubt about one of the pokemon for the final 6 which is Blaziken

My pokemon are...

lv 38 Sealeo
iceball
body slam
dive
surf

lv 38 Manectric
tackle
quick attack
spark
shock wave

lv 36 gardevoir
calm mind
confusion
psychic
teleport

lv 36 Blaziken
quick attack
blaze kick
double kick
ember

lv 46 Shroomish
giga drain
headbutt
poisonpowder
leech seed

lv. 46 starmie
recover
hydro pump
swift surf

These are the 6 pokemons currently have. These movesets and evolving arent final yet and still in training. Like I said before about blaziken, i want to switch with somebody else but dont have a clue. I want houndoom but i wont get it until after i defeat elite 4

Aww, don’t replace Blaziken. It’s one of your best Pokemon on your team. You just didn’t give it very good moves, so maybe that’s why you don’t like it. But once you improve its moveset, Blaziken will rock.

Keep Surf, dump everything else. Ice Beam and Earthquake take care of your Grass and Electric weakness while you can Toxic other Water types or Rest to recover damage

lv 38 Manectric
Thunderbolt
Thunder Wave
Bite
Any move---> Substitute

None of your moves were any good. Thunderbolt is the best Electric move out there and Bite is weaker, but your only real attack against Ground types (if you can breed, you could get the much stronger Crunch). Any move will work for the last spot because as soon as you get into the Battle Frontier, you can replace it with Substitute from a move tutor.

lv 36 gardevoir
calm mind
psychic
Thunderbolt
Reflect/Safeguard

You have the right idea with Psychic and Calm Mind, but the other two attack are useless. Get a 2nd Thunderbolt TM so that Gardevoir can actually handle Dark Pokemon, who are immune to your psychic attacks. For your last move, you can go with either Reflect for physical protection or Safeguard for status protection.

lv 36 Blaziken
Sky Uppercut
Flamethrower/Fire Blast
Bulk Up
Rock Tomb--->Rock Slide

No wonder you had doubts about Blaziken. None of the moves you gave it were good. Get it to learn Sky Uppercut at Lv. 59 and teach it one of those two Fire attacks through a TM. Did you delete Bulk Up when you were training Blaziken? You shouldn't have, Bulk Up is one of its better moves since it boosts Attack power. You can still reteach it through a TM though. Finally, give it a Rock attack so it can take on Flying types. Rock Tomb during the Elite 4, then when you go to the Battle Frontier, replace Rock Tomb with Rock Slide from a move tutor.

lv 46 Shroomish
giga drain
headbutt
poisonpowder
leech seed

You're training Shroomish to learn Spore, aren't you? You're almost there, only 8 more levels until you learn the best Sleep attack in the game. Then evolve it immediately into Breloom:

Breloom
Spore
Focus Punch
Leech Seed
Sludge Bomb

Spore first, then you get a free chance to Focus Punch. Repeat for each opponent. Leech Seed to sap health while they sleep. You can go with Sludge Bomb to damage the Psychics and Flying Pokemon that are resistant to Fighting attacks.

lv. 46 starmie
recover
surf
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt/Psychic

Starmie has so many great special attacks it can learn. Don't limit it to just water attacks. Ice Beam for all those Grass and Dragons that you otherwise can't handle. Thunderbolt for other Waters, however, 3 Thunderbolts on one team may be overdoing it. So you can still go with Psychic for the last move.

The one Pokemon here you SHOULD replace is Sealeo. You already have Starmie and Starmie is a much better Water Pokemon. Consider getting a Pokemon with good defenses, like Dusclops or Claydol, or a hefty Normal attacker like Zangoose.

these are awesome advices

you are right about the Shroomish and spore :) 8 more!

I'm currently thinking about your opinion on replacing sealeo... either Dusclops or Claydol... there are some pros...

Dusclops is a ghost so normal attacks dont work

Claydol is tough with its earthquake move since its flying in the midair

hmmm...

I’d go with Dusclops since you already have two Psychics on your team.
Let’s see now…

Dusclops
Shadow Ball
Seismic Toss
Will-o-wisp
Pain Split/Rest

Firstly, burn any physical attackers. Shadow Ball for Psychic/Ghosts and Seismic Toss everything else (Seismic Toss is a tutor move by the way, use Confuse Ray in its place until you can get it). Pain Split is good when you’re low on health, but you need to breed with a male Misdreavus to get it. Rest is an easier option, and it can heal status too.

It's just the elite four. Medicham sweeps nearly the whole things with Hi Jump Kick/Brick Break and Shadow Ball.

My sentiments exactly, but I do credit aragon for taking it a step further and coming up with a competitive BT team.

Or he could also use Subclops which is cool:

[email protected]
-Substitute
-Pain Split
-Shadowball
-Seismic Toss / Focus Punch

That thing can be really good.

Happy late b-day Mullet. You steal from Pyro IMO.

Well if you’re going to build a team without caring for natures or EVs, at least give them good moves…mmmhmm.

Anyways, I would suggest Focus Punch on Dusclops, but he has to save his Focus Punch TM for Breloom.

Medicham is a better Pokemon than Dusclops IMO. Subclops isn't too great anyway.

He needs a tank, he already has 5 sweepers. But then again the elite four is easier to beat with more sweepers, but then the BF will be hard

Thanks.

Pyro gave the set to me, so I didn't steal it per say.

Medi being better really depends on the situation.

Dude Subclops is really annoying if used right. If used by someone good then it's usfulness rises to that of standard Clops imo.

That all depends. Do you want to just beat the E4, or are you looking to set up a solid team to take on the BF? To just defeat the E4, you can do it with three Pokemon - Blaziken, Gardevoir, and Swampert. Since you don't have Pert, just make sure your team has IB and EQ. The E4 basically goes like this:

Sidney:
Mightyena - Blaziken
Shiftry - Blaziken
Cacturne - Blaziken
Crawdaunt - Gardevoir
Absol - Blaziken

Phoebe:
Dusclops - Gardevoir (Clops abuses Protect so Pressure saps your PP)
Banette - Gardevoir
Banette - Gardevoir
Dusclops - Gardevoir (No Protect)
Sableye - Swampert

Glacia:
Sealeo - Gardevoir
Glalie - Blaziken
Sealeo - Gardevoir
Glalie - Blaziken
Walrein - Gardevoir

Drake:
Shelgon - Swampert (first move ALWAYS Protect)
Altaria - Swampert
Flygon - Swampert
Kingdra - Swampert
Salamence - Swampert

Wallace:
Wailord - Gardevoir
Tentacruel - Gardevoir
Ludicolo - Gardevoir
Milotic - Gardevoir
Gyarados - Gardevoir
Whiscash - Swampert

Basically a few Full Restore/Lemonade for HP/status loss and Leppa Berries (restore 10 PP on one move), and you should win pretty easily.

Now, as for Dusclops. It might seem like a ***** now, but once you are done training and take that little bastard to the BF, you will see why it has been suggested.

Well, like I said, just use another Poke that is fast and knows IB. Starmie works just fine. Just watch out for Salamence. You also need some kind of physical attack for Whiscash, preferably EQ.
