Time goes away, the burden stays,
It weighs down my shoulder blade,
Yet no Atlas or Heracles I am,
The world is not for me to carry.

Just let me close my eyes for now,
Drifting away to my little sanctuary,
Just mere escapism you may call it,
As fleeting as the comfort may be.

For when the time for them to open,
A simple wish that a new day begins,
Though for this brief moment I live,
I'll swim in sea of blissful ignorance.

As ignorant as these words might be,
The hope they provide inmeasurable,
Wallowing away within them I write,
I hope they sound as blissful for you.
