I keep making changes to my JAA team, but I still need help so please rate it!

[email protected] Berry
Brave Nature
Drill Peck
Thunder
Light Screen
Protect

[email protected] Lens (If I can't get the scope lens, I will use Petaya Berry)
Rash Nature
Thunder
Surf
Ice Beam
Calm Mind

[email protected] Band
Rash Nature
Earthquake
Fire Blast
Thunderbolt/Thunderpunch
Slash

Groudon has high attack, so I'm trying to use it. I think Thunderpunch is a physical attack, but I'm not sure. If it is, should I go with it, or would Thunderbolt be better?

[email protected] Bell
Quirky Nature
Extremespeed
Aerial Ace
Earthquake
Protect

[email protected] Berry
Docile Nature
Surf
Ice Beam
Substitute
Toxic

Anything better than Substitute? The Lum Berry is basically doing Substitute's job for the Status problems. Or would it be better to keep both in case of an Explosion?

[email protected] Band
Bashful Nature
Psychic
Recover
Taunt
Flamethrower

I'm also wondering if Flamethrower should be replaced with Thunderbolt/Thunder. It could take advantage of Kyogre's Drizzle, but I already have a few electric attacks in this team, and flamethrower might be useful against Bug, Steel, Grass and Ice Pokemon.

Please tell me what I can fix in this team! Thanks!

I Understand why you would want to use protect on rayquaza to hide from ice beam but if it can pull off a dragon dance it will most likely kill everything before they can ice beam. JAA is built of a team of 4 pokemon (well at least the official Nintendo one is) but hey maybe this is Netbattle

What? No EVs or Natures? You won’t get far in the tournament without them.

Also, Protect is fine on a Rayquaza in 2vs.2. 99% of the teams out there will use a Kyogre or Groudon and have Pokemon take advantage of the weather. Quaza’s job is to nullify that effect and Protect keeps it in longer, also to scout for Ice Beam.

Besides the lack of Natures and EVs, this team is mostly fine except for Groudon. I mean, Slash, what?!? Go with Rock Slide. At least then it can hit both opponents and possibly get a flinch. Also, don’t bother with Electric moves. Groudon does way more damage with CB STABed Earthquake then an unSTABed Thunderbolt from its weak Special Attack.

Rayquaza gets KOed by Ice Beam easily, regardless of how many SDef EVs you have. Just EV train it for speed and attack.

Zapdos doesn't need alot of defense, as Rock Slide still will do what it will do to it, so Ev train it for SAtk, HP, and Speed.

Mewtwo needs SAtk and Spd. Defense won't help against Megahorn and the like. Besides, it KOs most things using a bug move before they can even pull off a move.

Kyogre just needs a mix of SAtk, HP, and Spd. A little SDef is fine, but remember, it gets Calm Mind to take care of that.

Kingdra in Rain, really actually doesn't need Spd EVs, but that's just fine. I put mine in HP and SAtk.

Groudon needs HP, Atk, and maybe some speed.

The point in EV training is to focus on the stats that the pokemon excel in. In some cases, its beneficial as well to increase HPfor purposes of walling/tanking, like Dusclops and Skarmory. In Blissey's case, with Max Defense, its massive HP allows it to survive many physical attacks, so that's an exception.
