To get straight to the point, I got bored on Netbattle and made up Mew sets. Post your own and comment on mine.

Mew @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 52 HP / 12 Def / 192 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Softboiled
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam

Simple enough to understand.

Mew @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 52 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Def / 192 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Focus Punch

Read below.

Mew @ Choice Band
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 52 HP / 252 Atk / 24 Def / 180 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Explosion
- Thunder Wave

Read two sets above.

Mew @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 240 HP / 148 Def / 120 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Thunder Wave
- Rock Slide
- Reflect
- Softboiled

Paraflinch+Reflect annoys stuff, especially if you could somehow BP a Mean Look to Mew, even though no BPers are in the uber metagame.

Mew @ Choice Band
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 172 HP / 84 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Trick
- Torment
- Hypnosis
- Explosion

Trick a Choice Band onto something, Torment them, Hypnosis the switchin, Explode on the next switchin. Could work, imo, because Mew can't really last long as a statupper.

Mew @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 172 HP / 252 Def / 84 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Swagger
- Psych Up
- Roar
- Body Slam

Swagger them, copy the statup, Roar them out. Body Slam lands a neutral hit on anything not called Shedinja and apart from that has a good chance of paralysis.

Mew @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 80 Atk / 176 Spd / 252 SAtk
Mild Nature (+SAtk, -Def)
- Thunder
- Solar Beam
- Fire Blast
- Explosion

For getting rid of Kyogre, Groudon, and Metagross. Nobody expects all three of the moves to be on a Mew (they hardly expect Mew at all), so it might work. Explosion for after you're done.

Mew @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 52 HP / 148 Atk / 112 Def / 196 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Light Screen
- Counter
- Explosion
- Calm Mind

Light Screen in front of a special-based uber, and Counter whatever physical sweeper they put in. Calm Mind can convince them that you're not trying to trick them. Explosion when you can.

Mew @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 85 HP / 85 Atk / 85 Def / 85 Spd / 85 SAtk / 85 SDef
Hardy Nature (Neutral)
- Metronome

=x

Mew @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: None
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Transform
- Hypnosis
- Explosion
- Thunder Wave

Sleep something, paralysis for the switch, and depending on the usefulness of the switchin, Transform or Explode.

Mew @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 85 HP / 85 Atk / 85 Def / 85 Spd / 85 SAtk / 85 SDef
Hardy Nature (Neutral)
- Brick Break
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam

EVs are hard to set for this . BrickBall+BoltBeam.

idk if its a glitch or not but, getting maxed out stats from transform is possibley the coolest thing ever.

also:
~taunt
~soft boiled
~ice beam
~earthquake

would be pretty cool in ubers, as long as you got a ho-oh/kyogre counter

Mew @ Leftovers

ALWAYS RUN ICE BEAM OVER SOLAR BEAM IN UBERS UNLESS USING EGGY. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten screwed by trying to use Solar Beam and getting a Rayquaza Air Lock switch in, or getting my Solar Beam blocked by Ho-Oh/Lugia. Keep your BoltBeam running.

But if using Ice Beam over Solarbeam for Groudon, Ice Beam is hardly any better than Fire Blast. IMO just risk keeping Solarbeam or replace it with something entirely different.

No, he means max stats of the opponent. For instance, if Mew transforms into Salamence, he will get the highest stats that Salamence can achieve in every category regardless of whether the opponent has those same stats or not.

You can use Ice Beam ANYWHERE in Ubers and be guaranteed a pretty good hit, especially when coupled with Fire Blast to stop Metagross/Sheddy and Thunder to discourage Kyogre. Base Power against Groudon for Fire Blast as compared to Ice Beam is 120 as compared to 95x2 = 190, iirc. If you run the set you have, with Solarbeam > Ice Beam, You're going to get walled by: [email protected], Kyogre (locks you in with Drizzle, forcing you to stay in and do a two turn Solarbeam while Kyogre can confidently switch back out) Rayquaza (hi 4x resist, Air Locked) Ho-Oh (hi 4x resist) Lugia (hi 2x resist) all while the only practical application you're getting is being able to MAYBE OHKO Groudon before it owns Mew up with EQ. With Ice Beam, you hit all of the above for at least neutral damage (most for SE) except for Kyogre, and with Kyogre you switch to your Thunder attack and the game is good. Groudon is 2HKO'd by Ice Beam, so it can't switch in any easier on Ice Beam than it can on Solarbeam.

And Pyro wins the Thread.

Mew @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 212 Def / 44 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Calm Mind / Light Screen
- Counter
- Softboiled
- Psychic

How typical of me.

Actually, Fire Blast gets 180 base power due to Drought. Hence, Ice Beam is hardly any better.

I didn't really make my point clear I guess--the only purpose of that set was to counter the mentioned 3 Pokemon. Ice Beam is definetly a better move overall, and I would probably use it over Solarbeam if I were to ever use Mew, but the entire and only point of that set was to counter those 3 Pokemon.
