This is the beggining of the game in leaf green, the real version, no tm's, I dont have any, I haven't battled anyone but gary twice, that earily. What do you think of this team going on to the end of the game? Don't go too harsh, keep the rudeness to yourself, thers is a lot of that in these threads.

|Squirtle| Lv. 13
Nature: Quiet
Tackle
Bubble
Withdraw
Water gun

|Spearow| Lv. 5
Nature: Relaxed
Peck
Growl

|Caterpie| Lv. 4
Nature: Timid
Tackle
String Shot

|Rattata| Lv. 3
Nature: Rash
Tackle
Tail whip

|Pidgey| Lv. 3
Nature: hardy
Tackle

|Mankey| Lv. 2
Scratch
Leer

Basically, I need a non up there own person who knows what he/she is talking about to give me what lv. to train to. I don't really enter the game until my team is trained, and I train hard. Squrtle is a guerrente evo before the match with brock. I need someone who knows the leaf green wild pokemon to tell me what to replace and where to train. Also, no going, "you suck, that team sucks!!!" or what ever you guys like to do. Don't argue all over my thread. Any advice on my next move?

Ah... You can better post this anywhere else, i think...

But, about you team...

I think it's stupid to catch tose beginning noobs. Just like Caterpie and Pidgey. They are bad. SOO bad. You can better caught better POKéMON as like a GEODUDE, or anything else. But Caterpie is a bad choice...

Hah. ^^

I hope u dont plan on using these pokemon later on in the game..
IMO, u should at least try to get good natures. Its not like these pokemon are hard to catch or uncommon.
Drop pidgey and find an adamant/jolly spearow...as well as an adamant rattata.

Quiet squirtle can work i guess...But bold or modest would really be prefered [unless u try yawnpunching in which case quiet is fine]

Anyway this thread is pointless.I doubt u'd be having immense problems at this stage [or any as a matter of fact]..Furthermore, u dont even have that wide a variety to choose from..After u beat brock, u can get nidoran to the right of pewter city..Nidoking/queen are rather versatile pokemon and are therefore pretty handy.
I suggest getting to cerulean and finding urself an abra.

Hey this is what you should do (completely optional) ditch all those pokemon except for squirtle and spearow, get squirtle to atleast 18 (best place to train is below pewter city) and get spearow to atleast level 16-18, when you defeat brock, go threw mount moon and get yourself a geodude, and a clefairy (Clefable is very powerful as far as life, special defense, and special attack go) the clefairy can be used as a make-shift electric/fire (shock wave, thunderbolt, flamethrowers, etc) the Geodude can act as a very powerful side course pokemon, pick yourself up a execute when you get to fuscha city, (safari zone) and when you get all 4 pokemon

Squirtle ( only naming the starters forms)
clefairy
spearow
geodude.

clefairy can give you a very powerful pokemon, i myself have a clefable at level 37 with flamethrower, thunderbolt, ice beam, and sing, it has a special attack of 115. and a special defense of 104, clefable is very incredibly powerful, and the only type of attacks that can do any real harm to it is fighting type attacks. it's health is at 124. above all go for a clefairy,

when fighting my rival 3 pokemon i find that beat him ALWAYS are (naming first forms only) spearow, squirtle, and geodude. i currently have a graveler at level 35, blastoise at lvl 41, and fearow at lvl 37, Exeggutor at level 38, and a clefable at level 37. the only thing i need to work on now is trying to find 1 pokemon to fill the last slot, i am thinking MEWTWO for when i beat the pokemon league, each time i start a new game i try to use as many diffferent combenations as i can. this is my 33 new game.

Don’t double post please, there is something called an Edit button. And there is no need to post your team in this thread. It’s Feraligatr’s RMT, not yours.

Also, Feraligatr, it’s pointless to rate beginning teams. If you have a final team planned out, that would be great.

Ummmm, that is the point of a "beginning of the game" team. Please do not post if you have nothing constructive to say.

As aragorn pointed out, posting an in-game team, especially at the beginning where your movesets will be changing constantly, is a bad idea. You can ask what people think your Pokes movesets should end up like, but please don't post your team that you just started with.

To not make this thread completely useless, I'll suggest moves for each of these Pokemon. Note that all of these Pokemon shouldn't be used in one team.

[email protected]
Nature: Bold/Modest/Calm
-Ice Beam
-Counter/Mirror Coat/Rest
-Counter/Mirror Coat/Rest
-Surf

[email protected]
Nature:Adamant/Jolly
-Steel Wing
-Return
-Aeriel Ace
-Agility

[email protected]
Nature: Modest
-Sleep Powder
-Psychic
-Giga Drain
-Hidden Power [Water]

[email protected]
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
-Scary Face
-Return
-Shadow Ball
-Iron Tail

Pidgeot should have the same moveset and nature as Fearow.

[email protected] band
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
-Cross Chop
-Earthquake
-Hidden Power [Ghost]
-Rock Slide

Remember, these are recommendations for each individual Pokemon. Do not use these Pokemon in the same team.

Finnally, someone post what I want. I want to get the final stage info for them, and if I should even catch them, I am getting pokemon from the begginging and training them all the way up, unlike what I usually do, is just find wild pokemon I like and raise them all the way up, wasting a lot of time.

I wouldn't suggest Butterfree, but it has its advantages. All of these Pokemon except Blastoise has poor Defense and Special Defense stats. I'd suggest getting a physical and/or special wall.

Even if they are UU and NU, there are still much better sets for Raticate, Butterfree, and Fearow than the ones suggested:

Butterfree @Leftovers/None
Nature: Timid
Sleep Powder
Stun Spore
Substitute
Whirlwind/Thief/Toxic

Let’s face it, Butterfree isn’t going to be killing anything with those stats so don’t even think of putting attacking moves on it. Instead, take advantage of Butterfree’s Compound Eyes for a super-accurate double powder combo. Put one enemy to Sleep, then when they switch, paralyze the other enemy. If they won’t switch, force them with Whirlwind. You can steal Leftovers with Thief to disable their chances of healing before the enemy kills you, or you can use Toxic on…whatever. Butterfree still sucks.

Fearow @Choice and
Nature: Adamant
Drill Peck
Return
Steel Wing
Quick Attack

Fearow is actually pretty good, although no where near as good as Dodrio or Swellow. Still, it learns Drill Peck naturally, which is always a plus. Best used as a Choice Bander.

Raticate @Salac Berry/Liechi Berry
Super Fang
Substitute
Reversal/Shadow Ball
Endeavor

Raticate is fun fun fun. Even physical walls have to watch out for the awesome Super Fang. While you’re at it, use Substitute to get ready for Reversal and Endeavor. Kill anything you can with Reversal and Endeavor tougher opponents before you go down.

There's no point of putting Quick Attack and Return on the same set in my opinion.

I'd keep the mankey, but Caterpie is a bit of risk, its okayish (fully evolved) until Cereleun City but apart from that I'd get rid of it about then.

I'd catch a Nidoran M or F, it doesn't matter really, and train that up.
You may have a bit of trouble with misty, I caught an Oddish on my last game, which was okay, but then on my new game I started with a Bulbasaur so I was okay for the first two gyms.

If you want a decent fire pokemon I'd suggest a Growlithe or a Magmar, or maybe a Moltres if you want to go all Legendary on me.

Ummm... That isn't a very good moveset list, sorry, but I will not take your advise. There is no way I could use these pokemon because of there low levels. Misty would demolish me, let alone brock if Wartortle had any problems.

hey ditch ALL those pokemon except Wartortle, then catch a Nidoran (male or female it does not matter Nidoking and Nidoqueen are both heck good)

Nidorina/Nidorino will deal with Misty and LT. Surge, (no less then level 18, same goes for Wartortle.

when nidorina/nidorino achieve level 22 evolve them. 22 is the level they learn there best move, (TM's will take care of the rest)

as the game progresses this is a team you should go for

BLASTOISE
NIDOKING/NIDOQUEEN (whichever nidoran you got at the start of the game after brock)
Haunter or Kadabra (or gengar/alakazam if you traded)
Magneton
Clefable (TM whore and awsome sp attack and sp defense and health)
Aerodactyle
Scyther/Pinser/exegutor/vileplume/whatever you want. those pokemon can learn any moves you want it to.

in my game my 9 team is exactly as listed (except my 6th pokemon, i don't have a 6th, right now i am thinking of dragonite).

DO NOT EVER THINK OF A TEAM FOR SHORT TERM, THINK OF A TEAM YOU CAN BUILD FOR THE LONG TERM!

For a begginer trainer(team) it's pretty goodthat you have 6 pokemon but I'd start with only 2 because your going to be left behind on a pokemon level.
Like Squirtles level is 13 and the others are 3-5, your behind on training the others.
I know it's hard but in a real battle when spuirtle dies you have no other strong pokemon that can beat the opponent.
See what I'm saying?
Whenever I start a pokemon game I start with the starter Birtch,Oak,And the other proffesors name in Silver,Crystal, and Gold and I just train on that pokemon which is kind of bad because if it dies then you have no other Pokemon to replace the battle but sometimes I get atleast two pokemon which I train both and they can compete with a smiliar level to the opponent if my MAIN(Pokemon I usually use) dies.
This is my opinion, I am just recommending this for starter teams and training.

Which only goes to prove why you're user title is so wrong. Quick Attack is there so your whole team won't get molested by any random endrever that comes your way, not to mention that it can be used to deliver finishing blows on some of the faster sweepers around. Really, you should at least try to learn the basics of strategy before declaring yourself a pro. =P And at any rate, there aren't any more useful moves to stick on an ingame Fearow since Hidden Power is pretty much out of the window.
