I was hoping I could get some help with catching Zapdos in FireRed, though since I'm asking anyway, maybe I could get some help with other legendaries. I've lowered Zapdos down as low as possible several times, with just a sliver of red left, and have paralyzed it once or twice, and yet I still go through 50 Ultra Balls (with no exaggeration, either- I bought 50, and went through 50). I don't have a Pokemon that can put it to sleep, either. I was prepared for Zapdos to go through a lot of Ultra Balls, but I thought it'd be something like...10 or 20 at the most. But 50! Any tips?

Dude, if you have an Action Replay or a Gameshark, use the 99x Masterball code and use a Masterball on all of the legandries. Thats what my friend did! OR use that Action Replay or Gameshark to get those Pokemon with the Zapdos code, Mewtwo code, ect. If you don't have an Action Replay or Gameshark, then just be patient. Heres what i did: I bought 99 Ultraballs and saved the game right in front of the legendary Pokemon before i battled it. I got it down to about 1 HP and then I paralyzed it (you can paralyz it or put it to sleep, but NEVER EVER POISON IT!!!!!) Hope that helps!

Or you catch Zapdos without cheating. It really isn't that hard. What I have found is that for some reason Ultra Balls suck when catching Legendaries. I don't know why, but Great Balls have always been more effective for me. Use Great Balls instead and get a Poke that can put ole Zappy to sleep.
