Just because Deoxys is somewhat alien, doesn't mean he's not legendary. He's certainly powerful enough, having different forms and high enough stats in those forms.

Legendary usually equates with rare, and Deoxys is certainly that.

Yeah, Deoxys is a Legendary Pokemon (since it's so hard to find and catch).
And aren't all Pokemon meant to have originated from outer space (as mentioned a few times in the games and in the Anime)?

I know some are definitely mentioned in Pokedexes and other sources, Pokemon like Cleffa/Clefairy/Clefable, and Lunatone and Solrock. It wouldn't surprise me if there were more, but I assume some originated here because there are ancient Pokemon that have been around for millions of years, Anorith/Armaldo, Lileep/Cradily, Omanyte/Omastar, Kabuto/Kabutops, Aerodactyl, and so on. Relicanth is another one that's not changed its form in millions of years.

Overall, some, but not all Pokemon originated in space. Just my coupla coins.

Maybe we could start a thread discussing the origin of Pokemon?
I've had some ideas, like how long ago it was when the Pokemon actually came to Earth, but I'd be going off topic.

No wonder Deoxys is so elusive.

There is actually a great theory of the existance of pokemon and trainers and all, that can be found on this page: http://www.dragonflycave.com/traininghistory.aspx they also have other theories on that site. Deoxys actually scares me, I don't like it much.... heh....

ahh... remember the days?
