I honestly think I make better friends online than in real life.
I tell some (or most) of my friends online what I wouldn't tell the friends I know personally.
It's much easier to communicate with people online than off the computer, well, atleast for me.
So, I value my online friends very much.
x3 Ditto.
I can make friends easier online too...
and I tend to have more fun talking to the peolple I've met online as well...
Not that I don't have fun with my real friends... Its sorta even actually ...besides the fact that I have more friends online then IRL.

I value them just as much as real life friends. I have a ton more online (mostly on xanga) and I can tell them things I can't tell anyone in real life. They help me out alot too. ^^ However, I don't trust some of them enough to give them my address or anything. My sister had a bad experience with an online friend, so... I just wouldn't do that.

To be honest, all of the online friends that I have are some of my real friends in real life. So do I value my online friends yes...do I have any friends that I only talk to online kinda, but I really don't pay too much attention to them...well unless they need support or something.

How I got my group of online friends is a bit of a long story, so I'll cut it very short. We used to post on some old comment boards (which were basically for people to comment about some new news) on a popular website, but the owner kicked us out of our comment board and closed it down. We made a forum so we could still chat I've gotten to know lots of them, there are about 20 that I know really well. We all come from lots of different countries and we're all really good friends. We probably tell each other stuff that we wouldn't let our "real life" friends.

LOL, why would you tell someone you have NEVER seen in your entire life stuff you wouldn't tell a friend you actually know personally in real life? I don't get it...my friends are one of a kind, I grew up with them for over half of my life...thats a real friend not just someone you can discuss stuff with.

Online friends are nice and all, but my real friends would defend me, tell me anything, and do stuff with me...now tell me what do online friends do for me?

I know that probably makes me sound like a jerk so sorry but thats how I feel, online friends I can give advice to and ask for support but thats about the size of it.

My friends online are like my friends offline...except the ones online are always there for me and they IM me all the time to talk....rather than offline my friends never call me unless I call them...which I'm really not much of a phone chatter. D=

Making friends online is easier than in real life for me too. I "value" my online friends as much as I do my real life friends but to say that they're better and more trustworthy...I don't know. I only have a couple of good online friends, like two, however, my real life friends are more important to me, it's just natural for me.

Rioku - ...No one ever made that an absolute statement. Just because making friends online is easier doesn't exactly constitute a level of difficulty for real life. It's all a matter of comparison and how you work your trust, I s'pose.

For the question, I highly value my online friends. <3

My friends online mean just as much to me as my friends offline do. I'm not talking about every single person I speak to online, just the people I'm really close to. I value all the friendships I gain in life, thus I should only present the same trust and admiration for those acquired online as well as off.
