We're told that it's because "it's an important part of the community because it helps produce Community Sites" or something like that. I personally disagree, since the members make the community, not the sites, but I'm not gonna bother making a big post ranting about it. XD

I don't like how PC actually does the sort of thing like "Attracting Community sites." We already have enough good community sites. Unless they do this to actually give this forum a little more attention then it already has.
I share the same opinion, actually. It's also a pointlessly fast way to gain an admin spot, without really doing anything to earn it, which I find idiotic.

Then basically PC is offering an easy way for people to become admin without having to work hard towards it.
Basically, if they have a good enough site, they'll get asked to become a Community Site. Being the owner of a Community Site gives that member instant admin-ship, so I guess, yeah. It's arguable that becoming a Community Site is benifitial for PC because it attracts new members. However, the Site Admin themselves haven't really done anything to earn their spot on PC. That's how I look at it, anyways.
