Suppose that this small neglectible problem may only affect someone so insigificant such as herself, but perhaps all the kind staffs of PC may have a bit of spare time during the precious summer holidays to lend Naminé an underserving hand of gratifying assistance.

Typing the é for Naminé's name is usually done by pressing alt with 0233 (this is identical to the é in Pokémon for those who loves to be technical), yet strangely it seems that lately pressing the alt key with "0" will result in the page to jump to "search forum" instead of allowing me to type her much preferred é. This was not a problem in PC before she left for her holidays in July, yet when she returns, this happens to be the case.

If this small piece of information will help with anything, Naminé is currently using the newest skin that portrays the appearance of the new Diamond/Pearl Pokemon.

Will it be possible for someone to investigate further in this matter? Naminé will be very grateful if she does not have to constantly copy and paste... Sigh.

Ms. Naminé isn't from any of a few Central European states, isn't she?
Sugimori spposes she isn't, because keyboards from these states has the "é" letter included, they use this letter normally. Sugimori has that luck, so he can use this without pasting and copying. And that combination of Alt and 0233 doesn't work for him too. If Ms. Naminé has the " ´ " key in her keyboard, she can try to press that key, and then, to press " e " key. As a result, " é " appears on screen. If she doesn't have this key, she can still use Character Map, what can be bit inconvenient - copying and pasting, but it can be still useable.

Hi,

Typing "é" for me is as simple as striking an extra key. Instead of using Character Map and/or the alt codes, and if you're running on Windows XP, you can go to your Control Panel, click on "Regional and Language Options," click on the "Language Tab," then the "Details" button, then click on the "Add" button (a new window should popup). Then, from the keyboard layout menu, select "United States - International", and finally click "OK."

When you have selected this, your keyboard will work a little differently before you changed the keyboard settings. When you strike the apostrophe key (') once, nothing happens. Strike it again (or just press the spacebar), an apostrophe appears. But I bet you're wondering why it doesn't appear when you strike it once eh? Try striking the (') key once and then press any vowel. An accent mark will appear above the vowel you pressed (if you hit the "e" key, it should look like this: "é").

You can go here for more info: http://www.studyspanish.com/accents/typing.htm

Hope this helps. :)

Yo. This is a problem I've had too. You'll find that it happens on any vBulletin board. Why? You'd be using Firefox 1.5, right? This has the built-in accessibility keyboard shortcuts. Alt + a number key will take you to the link for that key, and it's really annoying >_>. I haven't yet found a way to turn these off - it's the reason I waited so long to upgrade from 1.0.7. Darku's solution is probably the easiest, but it's annoying in other applications -_-.

I don't think that's it, JA. I have the latest upgrade of 1.5 and it works fine for me. o_o; It used to do that, but it doesn't anymore. Don't know what I did to fix it, but I don't necessarily think it's Firefox. o_o

I looked up the Firefox documentation; these symptoms are consistent with Firefox features. :S Is your Num Lock off?
