Yeah, I've seen that image before. I was thinking of using it as a theme.

By the way, sorry to break it to you, but I already claimed Yagami Light on the bishie thread before you. But, you've got L. XD

Okay! I'd better get reading! XD

I also have to see the Death Note anime. I'm hoping I can watch some of it later today... I've only read a few volumes of the manga.
Ditto. I'm up to three actually ._.; My friend spoiled it for me D:< You know what happens in the end...?

I've only have checked volume 1, and little bit of volume 2. I personally would want to stick with the anime for a while, I don't want to ruin what's ahead for myself. =\
I want to keep the same pace too. Later on, the manga reeeallly starts to disturb you on how close they are to getting him >: Bleh.

Yeah, but the only thing that make me want to view the manga is how long it takes to upload one episode. It's just like waiting for Naruto to release a filler every week, but for Death Note it takes longer.

People die.

It's best if you read it for yourself actually, going into the last chapter not knowing what's going to happen is better than having it spoiled.
Okay. I'll take your word for it. XD

DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU WANT TO KNOW PART OF THE ENDING OF "THE LAST NAME"!!
Spoiler:
L dies in the end of "The Last Name." Do the movies follow the manga and anime series?

Not sure, but the anime seems to follow the manga word for word. So far.

Oh, btw, I'm thinking of making a fanfiction (which is insanely rare o.o). I've had lots of writing classes, so don't think it's going to be one of those sappy fangirl stories! >:3 It's going to be a Sayu fiction. That's all I'm going to say now ;3

But of course, I need to let go of some fangirl steam.
Spoiler:
Yes this will be almost n00blike rants.
Spoiler:
With your stereotypical fangirl stuff.
Spoiler:
Mkay.
Spoiler:
DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS NOT TO BE LxRAITO?!?! DD: I think I've been reading too many doujin, but they...it's just...the perfect yaoi pairing! They just ARE!! *-* So many different situations and the same LxL outcome can be produced. Not only that, but their fandom is FLIPPIN HUGE. I love it. It beats those FMA pairings tenfold. X333 But then again, being stereotype sucks D: Being a fangirl starts to make EVERYTHING look LxL and I'll never be able to grasp Death Note for what it truely is! I must resist my instincts! :<!!

*cough* New sub today :3

I accidentaly spoiled that to my friend XD She wants to kill me now...

Anyway, yes. The movie generally matches the manga, with the exception of L's girlfriend at the end of the first movie... I can't wait 'til the second one comes out here =3
A wild PIKABLOO has appeared!

That's not how the second movie ends, that's what happens in volume seven of the manga.

This is how it ends...
Spoiler:
Light thinks he's killed L and escapes from the prison he was in. Out on the streets, he meets up with Misa, she gives him his Death Note and he starts to write his dad's name in it. Just before he can do that, his dad comes up to him and his task force all pop out of nowhere and aim their guns at Light's head. After that, L walks out and says some stuff about Light being too cocky and that Light was pure evil for killing Watari, Light starts freaking out like crazy, his dad takes his Death Note. Then Light tries to write L's name down in a piece of paper he had stashed in his watch, he's shot, he begs Ryuk to save him, Ryuk ignores him and goes back to the underworld, Light dies and then it skips to one month later. The reason L didn't die when Light wrote his name down in Misa's Death Note was that L took Light's Death Note one week before that incident and wrote his own name down and wrote that he would die a peaceful death in 23 days. Light's dad walks into the room and L apoligizes for his son's death, Light's dad says it's okay because his real son was lost a long time ago. He then leaves, L looks at a picture of Watari, smiles and then dies.

ONE YEAR LATER

Light's family is at his grave, his dad is still the only one that knows how Light really died. His sister and mother think he was a victim of Kira or something like that. They then talk about his life for a bit and his sister hints to her dad that she knows how Light really died when she asks "Do you think a person can earn redemption for their sins and still enter heaven?". Light's dad hesitates for a moment before saying that humans have the possibility to do anything and what they do in their lives is up to no one else but each individual. He then says that if a person really does lament what they did, there will always be hope for them.

I didn't see the one year later part in the version I watched. o_o Weird. So the last scene I saw was...

You really should write a Death Note fanfic. That would be cool. But no fangirl stuff, of course.

It was after the credits, at least in Japan, they might have taken it out wherever you are. A friend of mine said he waited about a minute after the credits and then that part played.
