I searched for a place to watch it free (without having to download it on Bit Torrent) on Google a few days ago. But now, when I go to the site, it says "This page cannot be displayed." o_o Annoying. *sigh*

I hope that they really do continue with Light's sister. Does she know about the Death Note or not?

Oh, thought you had actually seen it in theaters or something. So, yeah, if you had, those would have rolled after a short pause if they were from the Japanese screening.

That's what that scene is for, it's supposed to hint at her knowing something without actually saying it.

The director, Shusuke Kaneko or something like that, said that it was how he wanted to craft the story after the first movie, which stayed relatively close to the actual manga, aside from the addition Shiori. Having Light's sister become the third Kira in the movies is supposed to be "natural progression" because she wants revenge on whoever killed her brother and Ryuuk feels a strong connection with her due to her being Light's sister.

The plan was always to have two movies, with more as a possibility depending on how well they do. The first movie was number one in its opening week and the second movie was also number one in its opening week as well as the highest opening for a Japanese movie in 2006 and its earnings so far make it the 5th highest grossing movie in Japan for 2006. So I'd say say they did well enough.

It would have gotten boring. And that would suck, if Sayu continued the series. Light's smarts is what made him such a good bad guy; He was always 10 steps ahead of everyone else, and he beleived what he was doing was right. Plus, they say that Sayu would be the type who would "use the note to kill someone she didn't like, then cry after"/

Spoiler:
I liked DN's ending, a lot, Near was |33+ in the end, but he should have died as well, it would have made the ending more "air tight". ._.
Maybe she would do that... Most likely. o_o She'd kill someone then cry after it. I would too, though, so I'm not against that or anything.

Yay for it doing good then! A chance for a third one!!

Spoiler:
What about the hooded chick who says "Kira-sama..." at the end of the manga? Her? Her hair and eye's don't match Sayu's and it says in vol. 13 that Misa killed her self or something.
It was just some random chick. That's it.

I didn't really like the ending so much, but I loved the suspense. They way we are all led to believe that ...
Spoiler:
Light had won, then Near screws it all up XD

Oh, and I loved his rant - it really did confirm tht he was off his rocker.

Why would Ryuuk feel a connection? He didn't care about Light - they were just entertainment for each other.

And if she want revenge ... then wouldn't it mean that she would have to kill Ryuuk?

I wish I had waited another week before I downloaded the Death Note movie ... why?

Cause the torrent with English subtitles is here.

I think I'm gonna have to wait till next month to download it, which may be a problem, considering that I wanna get Shuffle! as well. I guess I'll have to get one of my mates to download it.

I like Sayu, but Sayu as in Death Note part 2? That's kinda wierd, if that's what I think you're saying. Wouldn't that go against the manga?

YES. L was just a proxy!! ;S The real one is hiding out at David's house in Canada!

Spoiler:
Actually, I think in DN world, there is no afterlife. Ryuuk said to Raito that he'll "see what happens when he dies", Raito then goes on to talk about how there's no heaven or hell and Ryuuk basicly says he's right, L's an athiest too, but after Raito uses the Note, and finaly does die... the page is black, he does see heaven or hell, or L's spirit there to laugh at his dead arse, just nothing. Like he died, and that was it... and no one came back as a ghost, no L's spirit watching over or anything like that. .-.
I can't imagine that...
Spoiler:
Wait. So in the DN world, if there's no heaven or hell, would he be any different off if he hadn't used the book? Ha! I love that.

He feels a connection as in "he feels some of what his brother was in her" and he didn't kill Light, Matsuda did. Ryuuk didn't help Light, but he didn't kill Light and his sister doesn't know that yet, but once she finds out, that will make for some pretty good story.

I like Sayu, but Sayu as in Death Note part 2? That's kinda wierd, if that's what I think you're saying. Wouldn't that go against the manga?
Like I said, the director wants to take the DN world in his own direction, so it that sense it kind of would make sense.

Yay for Nihilism~

S'what I beleive anyway, I think that when you die in DN world there's nothing, you just 'go to sleep and never wake up', no heaven, hell or any sort of afterlife, that kinda thing. I believe that in real life too, but yeah. D;
That seems creepy.... ._. I believe that you just go into your own personal utopia or something of the sort; just doing something that you've dreamed of doing. But that's enough about my thoughts >:

So, if the series ends at 12, what's number 13 about?

It's a guide book that has info on various mysteries that popped up during the course of the series' run. I think it has an interview with the mangaka, artist and the editor as well.
