I've gotten bored of using my current team in the Battle Frontier, so I decided to make a new one. I would like input on this, however, and I also figured it would be the perfect opportunity to try posting a team here.

Salamence w/ Choice Band (we'll see how this goes...)
Nature: Adamant
Aerial Ace
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Brick Break

Espeon w/ Brightpowder/Leftovers (based on whoever else goes in)
Nature: Modest
Psychic
Baton Pass/Bite (see Sceptile below for caption)
Wish
Calm Mind

Blaziken w/ Shell Bell
Nature: Naughty Adamant
Aerial Ace
Bulk Up
Fire Blast
Sky Uppercut

Physical attacker (mainly) and Shell Bell to take advantage of it.

Umbreon w/ Focus Band
Nature: Bold
Toxic
Confuse Ray
Baton Pass
Wish

NEW:

Sceptile w/ King's Rock
Nature: Modest
Leaf Blade
Thunderpunch
Leech Seed
Substitute/Toxic (waiting to see how Sub does for me. If it works, it stays. If not, all that breeding's for nothing and out it goes)

Kinda odd, I know (sort of a mix between a [EDIT: Okay, if I got it wrong and hazer isn't the right term, then what is? Phazer?] and special attacker), but it works.

Blissey w/ Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Softboiled
Heal Bell
Ice Beam
Seismic Toss

...There. A few things:

1. There are no EV values because I don't do EV training. Please don't give me EV values as I wouldn't have any use for them. I do, however, use the vitamins, as I've got a truckload of them from all the money I've gotten from the E4.

2. Please DO NOT suggest any Pokes with double-weaknesses. One's my limit, and that's Salamence.

3. This is specifically for the Battle Frontier, not for against other people.

So, rate/edit/w/e. I know it needs some work.

Ok, I'm giving rating another go XD, couldnt think of moves for Salamence and Espeon sorry.

Blaziken w/ Sharp Beak
Nature: Naughty
Aerial Ace
Earthquake
Flamethrower/Overheat
Sky Uppercut

Could use Overheat because it wont really matter if Blaziken's SA drops.

Umbreon w/ Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Toxic
Confuse Ray/Attract
Psychic
Subsitute

No attacks that do damage? I never really liked Torment...

Manectric w/ King's Rock
Nature: Modest
Thunderbolt
Crunch
Toxic
Swift

I dont really know much for Manectric but yeah...

Blissey w/ Brightpowder
Nature: Bold
Softboiled
Light Screen
Flamethrower
Thunderbolt

This thing has massive special attack and defence, so Flamethrower and Thunderbolt to deal with a range of Pokemon

Salamence w/ Choice Band
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Aerial Ace
- Brick Break
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide/Fire Blast

Basically a pounder with Shell Bell to take advantage of it. Steel Wing has low Accuracy, I know, but it helps to take care of Rock-types that seem to like to pop up.

That is what Earthquake is for. If you used your TM Earthquake already, raise Zigzagoon to Lv91, go battle wild Pokes, and you will have 5-10% chance of it (them) picking up another one. Salamence is a great lead in the BF since it can damage so many things. Since you refuse to EV train, you MUST have Adamant. Making it slower only hurts it.

Espeon w/ Lum Berry
Nature: Modest
Psychic
Bite
Wish
Calm Mind

This will do. With Lum Berry, with Synchronize, their opponent will also get statuses and the berry will heal Espeon.

Blaziken w/ Shell Bell/White Herb
Nature: Naughty
- Fire Blast/Overheat
- Substitute
- Swords Dance/Bulk Up

- Sky Uppercut

Physical attacker (mainly).

Earthquake on a Fighting type is unnecessary, especially on Blaziken since Fire Blast and Sky Uppercut can cover the same types anyway. You are better off with Swords Dance (if you can) or Bulk Up (if you can't). Substitute allows it to last longer.

Umbreon w/ Lum Berry
Nature: Bold
- Baton Pass
- Protect
- Mean Look/Toxic/Substitute
- Wish

Umbreon is a great defensive Poke. It can pass Wishes and Subs.

Manectric w/ King's Rock
Nature: Modest
Thunderbolt
Crunch
Double Team
?

First crack at a Manectric.

Meh. Won't fix Manectric. Go with a different Poke like Gengar, Alakazam, or Gardevoir.

Blissey w/ Brightpowder
Nature: Bold
- Softboiled
- Heal Bell
- Ice Beam
- Seismic Toss

Healer.

Ice Beam and Seismic Toss allow Blissey to at least do damage while it takes hits.

...There. A few things:

1. There are no EV values because I don't do EV training. Please don't give me EV values as I wouldn't have any use for them. I do, however, use the vitamins, as I've got a truckload of them from all the money I've gotten from the E4.

3. This is specifically for the Battle Frontier, not for against other people.

So, rate/edit/w/e. I know it needs some work.
I will comment more on this later when I have time.

Hmm...

Okay, I'll update with SOME of those, but not all of them really work for me, because for one, I don't have Lum Berries available, and two, why Choice Band on Salamence? And I can't replace Manectric for any of those. I need an Electric-type since I've got nothing else to take care of Water-types...actually, I've got a better idea.

If you visit the guy in in Lilycove, to the east of the Move Deleter, every day you have a chance that he will give you a Lum Berry. Plant it and grow many of them. Now you have a stock of Lum Berries.

Choice Band is great on Salamence because it boosts it Atk, which is a MUST since you refuse to EV train.

You don't need an Electric-type to handle Water-types. Gardevoir learns Thunderbolt, which after a Calm Mind is just as powerful as the weak Manectric's attack, and has better typing. You can also go with Gengar with Thunderbolt and/or Giga Drain behind a Substitute to do the same thing. A weak Electric-type like Manectric leaves you too vulnerable. It is more important to have a Poke with a high SAtk than it is an Electric type. Manectric can usually take care of Water-types, but what else? A Poke like Alakazam, Gardevoir, and Gengar can take care of Water-types as well as many others.

Salamence w/ Shell Bell
Nature: Adamant
Aerial Ace
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Dragon Dance

This thing needs DD bad.

Espeon w/ Leftovers
Nature: Modest
Psychic
Bite/Baton Pass
Wish/Substitute
Calm Mind

This Espeon is meh. Its not horrible, but I like CM/BP/Sub/Psy better.

Blaziken w/ Shell Bell
Nature: Naughty
Earthquake/Rock Slide
Bulk Up/Swords Dance
Fire Blast/Overheat
Sky Uppercut/Brick Break

I gave you many options for this one. And did you know that two of the same item is banned from Frontier.

Physical attacker (mainly).

Umbreon w/ Focus Band
Nature: Bold
Confuse Ray/Taunt
Mean Look
Baton Pass
Wish

Chaosbreon is cooler. Confuse Ray is ok if you want.

NEW:

Sceptile w/ King's Rock
Nature: Modest
Leaf Blade
Crunch/Thunderpunch
Leech Seed
Substitute

No, sort of doesn't work. SubSeed>>>the other one. The suggested one is standard.

Kinda odd, I know (sort of a mix between a hazer and special attacker), but it works.

Blissey w/ Brightpowder
Nature: Bold
Softboiled
Heal Bell/Aromathreapy
Ice Beam/Thunder Wave
Seismic Toss

Blissey needs work. Aromathreapy is cooler because it isn't blocked by Soundproof. XD

...There. A few things:

OK team. Needs a lot of work.

EDIT: Alex, you've actually had some good rates. What happened?

I thought two of the same item was banned, but shanecdavis seemed to think not, so...blame him <.<;.

Actually, speaking of, you're contradicting some of what he said, like EQ on Blaziken for instance. I think...I'll go with davis on those points.

BTW, what's so different about that Sceptile? You only changed the last attack. And, um, since it seems that virtually everyone is going to mention it, I'll say this now: I don't have access to Substitute at the moment. The only Poke that has it is on my Sapphire game that's being borrowed right now.

EDIT: My bad. I forgot that I DO have one on Emerald with Substitute right now :P. Please continue suggesting it.

And, Mullet, please don't post things like that in a thread of mine that have no point other than to flame.

*cough cough*

Yeah, that was my bad. In my haste, I failed to make changes to your items (or mine for that matter). Blissey MUST have Leftovers. That 1/16th recovery is HUGE when you consider just how many points that is on a Blissey. I would still go with Gardevoir/Alakazam/Gengar over Sceptile as your special sweeper, but it is your team. I would at least give it Thunderpunch though if you cannot swing Substitute.

I don't care what you think is good because you are wrong. Unless you know what you are doing don't rate, it's as simple as that.

Also don't try to make excuses if you know or think that there is something that will hinder you from making a good rate think before you post.

Mullet, I've asked you before, now I'm telling you: Take your problems with !!**Alex**!! elsewhere.

Back on topic, I have to apoloigze--I forgot that Venomoth from XD came with Substitute. It'll be a bit of work, but I can try to move it around. I'll also edit that other post.

And shanecdavis, you DID change my items (cite: 2 Lum Berries), but anyway, keeping that rule in mind this time, what SHOULD everyone have?

THe mostly used and more useful items are the lefties, choice band can also work on physical sweepers.

Yeah, what jc and the others (Except Alex) said, but since this is the frontier where you can't double up on items, I'd suggest distributing Leftovers, Choice Band, and Lum Berry among the three pokes you want to use. Usually lum for the special sweeper, CB for the physical sweeper and Lefties for the tank/cleric type, Lums are especially useful in the Batte Pike where everybody and his friend comes with Toxic and/or Thunder Wave, but you could also try a stat increasing berry (Liechi, Salac, or Petaya) or even Shell Bell. Btw, if it doesn't know haze it's not a hazer (Refering to Sceptile).

On pokémon choices, CBMence is definitely a keeper here, and I'd also strongly suggest replacing Manectric. It might work at first, but once the legendaries enter the picture (That's once you go beyond the round where you fight the frontier brain of a facility for the first time, not sure if it happens in the Battle Pike, though) it will be just plain outclassed.

Yeah like I actually read a post that didn't concern my arguement LOL.

Anyway I may be flaming him but I am telling him what AB usually says if you don't know what you are talking about don't rate and he doesn't, therefore he shouldn't rate a team. He said he didn't care if I didn't like his suggestions but they were wrong so in a way I was helping you out telling him not to rate a team if he doesn't know what he's talking about.

No, you were using his post as an excuse to flame him, not to try to help me out (if you WERE trying to help me, then you would have given at least some sort of suggestion on my team in the exact same post, but you didn't say a thing). And if you're not paying attention to anything other than what's in your petty little argument then just stay off my thread, thank you very much.

Alter Ego, thank you, but I already replaced Manectric with the Sceptile (and on that, I've always seen the term hazer applied to a Pokemon that relies on stat-inflictions--usually involving Poison--to get in a KO. However, if I got that wrong somewhere, then please enlighten me as to what it's SUPPOSED to mean, as I don't think any of the "hazers" I've seen before actually used Haze...).

Actually it was helping you it was aimed at bad raters staying out of your thread. So I guess I'll just post whatever I want in your thread and if you choose to report me and I get banned then PC lost one of the few good raters they have.

Well, based on your attitude, I don't think it would hurt the forum that much...

Also, if you're such a good rater, then why haven't you actually tried to CONTRIBUTE to the thread yet like all the other posters?

You guys are going to cut it right here, and get back on topic.
If you decide to keep going offtopic, I have no problems issuing a Warning to everyone that was involved, and locking this thread.

And Mullet, if you have nothing to contribute to a thread, don't post in it. Simple as that.

Ohh..okay, I missed that part. Anyways, Hazer specifically means a pokémon that can nullify stat changes, and thus far that's exclusive to the move Haze. What I believe you confused it with is phazer (Short for pseudohazer) which is used to refer to pokémon who use moves which force the opponent to switch out and thus nullify their own stat increases etc. the list of these moves, depending on the situation, can include things like Leech Seed and Toxic, however, Sceptile is not really a qualified phazer since trying to switch it in on something that has already gained stat boosts is usually tantamount suicide. Nyah, how should I explain this? Leech Seed is a move that can be used for half-arsed phazing, but with a pokémon like Sceptile (Which relies on getting a Substitute and/or Leech Seed in before your opponent gets to attack) it's there to shamelessly exploit Substitute and to keep your opponent off-balance rather than to get rid of already fortified opponents. Ehh...yeah, I hope that explanation was a bit clearer than mud. I might have rambled a bit, but the stuff I wanted to say is all there. ^^

If you decide to keep going offtopic, I have no problems issuing a Warning to everyone that was involved, and locking this thread.

And Mullet, if you have nothing to contribute to a thread, don't post in it. Simple as that.
You mod at a Pokemon forum therefore your opinion is void. ^_^

Glad you think so. Correct, I do. And as I assumed, you wouldn't take my notice. Enjoy your Warning. ^_^

This is your first after coming off of your ban by the way, just one more and you'll be gone again.

Now, act your age and follow the rules!
