This has done decent in tests, but its not really being as solid as I want it to be.

Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 236 HP / 136 Def / 16 SAtk / 120 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Counter
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Protect

Though the set is cool as hell with air conditioning, My timing on countering as horrible (it's mainly used to take on HP grasses). I might just switch for Mirror Coat and see how that turns out.

Ludicolo (M) @ Leftovers ** Jexican
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 208 HP / 20 Spd / 40 SAtk / 240 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Ice Beam
- Leech Seed
- Synthesis

It can't take any MM's with this spread, but I have Skarm, Swampert, and Char for that purpose. The only physical move this switches on anyway is EQ. lol the massive SDef on this lets me take Max SAtk Thunders from Zapdos. Hi Pyro!

Rhydon (M) @ Leftovers ** Horn Fettish
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 212 HP / 120 Atk / 56 Def / 120 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Substitute
- Swords Dance

When I originally made this team, Ludi, Rhydon, and Char were starting out, as they basically covered each other as far as weaknesses were concerned. I really wish I had megahorn atm, but this set is still quite aweseome. I can take on Weezing easily and deal some major Damage to Skarm before it tries to phaze out the SD, possibly Flinching it in the process.

Charizard (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 96 HP / 128 Atk / 156 Spd / 128 SAtk
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Fire Blast
- Focus Punch
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Substitute

I'm not really liking the EVs, as it just BARELY does enough to a standard Snorlax with FP. But this really does ****mukup.

Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers ** Can Opener
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 244 HP / 16 Atk / 92 Def / 20 Spd / 136 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Counter
- Drill Peck
- Roar
- Spikes

ASDF. Celebi is trying to run rampant so I think I might trade counter for a Jolly Taunt.

Dusclops (M) @ Leftovers ** Queer Eye
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 36 Atk / 128 Def / 8 Spd / 84 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Rest
- Shadow Ball
- Sleep Talk
- Will-O-Wisp

This one's a bit fillerish, but it does its job well. The sleep absorption is quite invaluable to this team.

Use Protect only to stall. Otherwise it is a waste.

Ludicolo (M) @ Leftovers ** Jexican
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 208 HP / 20 Spd / 40 SAtk / 240 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Surf/Giga Drain
- Ice Beam
- Leech Seed
- Synthesis

This is pretty good, except for the hidden power. Try something else.

Rhydon (M) @ Leftovers ** Horn Fettish
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 212 HP / 120 Atk / 56 Def / 120 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake

- Swords Dance

I have no complaints about this one. It looks formiddable.

Charizard (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 96 HP / 128 Atk / 156 Spd / 128 SAtk
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Fire Blast/Flamethrower
- Outrage
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Substitute

Never use focus punch. It's like Fly, only much suckier. You may or may not want to replace Fire Blast with a more accurate move.

Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers ** Can Opener
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 244 HP / 16 Atk / 92 Def / 20 Spd / 136 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Counter
- Substitute/Rest
- Roar
- Spikes

This is a pretty good skarm, but it needs Sub or Rest.

Dusclops (M) @ Leftovers ** Queer Eye
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 36 Atk / 128 Def / 8 Spd / 84 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Rest
- Shadow Ball
- Sleep Talk
- Will-O-Wisp

Not much I can say. Good Job.
This is a very well built team with only a few little kinks. Job well done.

Congrats, Peabobo, you failed to make a single useful suggestion. =D

Focus Punch is not sucky and Fly can't even be compared to it. F-Punch has an attack power of 150 so if he gets a sub up or predicts right (so that he unleashes it on a switch or when the opponent isn't attacking) he can deal serious damage to special walls which the other attacks couldn't touch (Snorlax and Blissey come to mind). It can also OHKO Tyranitar, which is otherwise a serious menace to any team. Outrage is the incarnation suck: it's inaccurate, weaker than Dragon Claw, prevents you from switching or using other moves for a couple of turns, and it confuses the user to boot. The fact that you'd suggest it on anything proves your ineptude. -.-

Hidden Power [Grass] is also a completely valid choice over Giga Drain since it's not only stronger (Attack power 70) but also has more PP than Giga Drain and so isn't as liable to be stalled out of PP by Pressurers like Suicune or Dusclops.

Surf on Swampert is lol since its SAtk is rather weak. If you need a water move in there then Hydro Pump is the way to go, but most make do with Earthquake and Ice Beam on the damage front. Don't knock Counter, it's a very nasty surprise for Hidden Power [Grass] users in general, as well as physical sweeps who think they can get through. It's a bit of a risky strategy, but it can work.

Finally, why I personally agree with keeping Sub or Rest - usually both - on Skarm (I'm paranoid about Magneton o.O) it's not a must. You just have to play more carefully without Wish or Rest for HP recovery.

On the actual team...well, two cases of Counter on the same team seems kind of redundant to me, but to each their own. My main concern is the damage that Gyarados can cause to this team. I guess Rhydon can scare it away from time to time, but taking all those EQs is going to become very painful later on. Status attacks can also hurt this team bad since you don't have a cleric (Clops is really the only one on this team that can take those and Ludi and Zard could both end up suffering in case your opponent is into Thunder Wave). Good team overall, though, but again, it needs to be played carefully to work.

1 Did you? No.
2 Everytime you get hit during a focus punch you have successfully wasted another 2 turns. congratulations.

Did I what? Please use full sentences. I made some suggestions after I critisized yours, you know. Whether Synchronize finds them useful or not remains to be seen, but at least their not blatantly useless like Outrage on Charizard.

No you haven't. Focus Punch isn't a charge move, it just always hits last. So if you get hit on the turn you use it you have only lost that one turn. If it were a charge move then yes, it would be utterly worthless. However, the fact remains that it isn't. I've got enough experience with this game to know what the moves actually do, which - apparently - is more than can be said for you. Don't rate if you don't know what you're talking about. -.-

The flame war is in you head, my dear. Stop fixating on it for a moment and maybe you wouldn't cause this. My suggestions are right here:

See? Comments. Isn't it grand what kind of things you can find when you read the whole post? =D I don't go around 'fixing' stuff that ain't broken, with the good teams I usually just point out potential concerns rather than making actual 'corrections' to the team. Now what is your take on Focus Punch? Still a sucky move? I think we were discussing that a moment ago before the word 'flame war' popped up. Funny how that always happens when I point out your mistakes, eh? ^^

Yes, and it is also funny how when you point out my mistakes you can't do it in a civil way, and you have to ruin the threads you are posting in.

IMO, both of you should chill.

peabobo has alot to learn, so I don't blame his rate, but Alter's post was actually more useful, though Surf does work sometimes on Swampert. However, Protect does stall and helps regain lost HP from using Counter.

As far as Skarm, the way I switch, and 70% of the time how i predict, I usually dont need Substitute to predict Maggie, so I just do with Counter or Taunt most of the time. Though Sub is looking like the second best choice atm, second to Taunt.

Let me help you with Ludicolo and Charizard, peabobo. Ludicolo with Surf means it can't properly counter water types, which is its main function for being on the team, and Giga Drain's PP is too low for stalling, therefore, HP Grass is quite ideal. Subpunching Char is quite cool. Just switch it in on Skarm or the like, and they'll most likely switch to a special wall. Meanwhile, you've put a Sub up and have done 55% or more to Blissey or Snorlax. Also it'll surprise incoming Tyranitars or other Rock types.

It takes two to make a flame war. Sorry for not being 'civil' enough for you, then, but when I see someone spreading blatantly incorrect information I usually don't bother to wrap up my criticism in a boquet of roses. Now, just to be clear, how exactly should I point out your errors? Should it be something like 'I'm sorry, dear sir, but it would seem that everything you just said is incorrect.'? Fine, I'll make it all posh for you if you're that sensitive. Now could you please stop spamming up the threads with meaningless, detached, and insulting comments (Such as the one you made in the other thread here)? That's what is known as flaming around here, you know, not to mention that it's also spam. I'll behave if you behave, m'kay? If not, then at least take the flame war in PMs so threads won't get cluttered up. -.-

Synch has already explained that in his example:

What he is saying that when you bring in Charizard against something that is weak against it, you can expect your opponent to sometimes switch to a special wall (read: Blissey/Snorlax) or to something that can resist it (read: Tyranitar). What you do is use Substitute while they switch. Now, with Charizard's speed, it has a Sub up and typically will attack first. FP for a physical strike and FB/HP Grass for a special one, depending on what comes out.

Not to mention Sub can activate Petaya Berry and Blaze on a Special type moveset, or even Salac Berry on pseudo-BellyZard movesets.
