Another non-Yugioh thread :o

anyways, World of Warcraft is getting pretty big lately, so i wanted to see if anyone here played it.

I think it's pretty interesting, especially the way they set up the deck box.

The deck box costs $15 dollars, which seems pretty expensive. However, it also comes with 2 booster packs. Along with this, the deck box looks kinda like a large DVD-game case, and on the inside, it almost seems like a deck holder, which I think are big enough for sleeved cards as well. I'm not sure if there are foils/holos yet.

So ya, anyone else play/heard of this?

Yes, i did get the starter set, i haven't started playing yet, i want to get a good deck built first, but yeah, the price is sort of steep, but each booster pack has 15 cards in it, so 2 booster packs would give you an amount of cards equivalent to your first deck (which is awesome ^^) you also get a hero in each pack as well, which can help construct a vast variety of different decks.

Well certainly the WoW TCG is a better TCG than YGO. I've seen it in action a couple of times, and the game looks to be a hybird of Magic Vanguard with Duel Masters. Aside from that, it's really nothing new. I've heard that only the deckbuilding aspect of the game is the only thing that is interesting in this game.

The cost of the TCG is too high. The new raider thing costs more than double of the starter set. That's asking too much from the players, and seriously I'd just grab myself 2 copies of damnation for that price, or maybe even something crazy like getting a half-decent deck in magic for that price, complete with decent rares and everything (come on, it's 40 bucks. A decent T2 deck wouldn't even cost that if you play your hand right).
