Hi! i'm finally starting a game called pokemon water blue or orange islands, i've yet to decide which. it will focus on the water pokemon and will have four gym battles and then the orange tournament. i haven't thought about what i will do after that but as this is my first game i wanna start off small and add more stuff when it's completed.

i haven't really thought about different features as i just wanna get the basics sorted out first. i've deliberately made the game as short as possible because my first aim is to have a completed project. after it is completed i will add in more features possibly utilizing the day/night system and the safari zone.
Here is an early screen.

Map looks great! The only thing is the green shrubbery-fence thing around the building in the middle looks like it's not connected where it turns inward at the bottom. That's all though, looks great!!!

It depends on how you want to do it. If you want pictures for each one, then your answer is yes, you need a picture for each entry. Think about it- unless you have a picture for each pokemon, the engine is not going to know what to show. You can use the pictures from my game if you want.
