Thanks for your patience! After following this up extensively internally the following announcement has indeed come down to us and therefore the public!

We have had a great experience over the past several years with the Duel Masters Trading Card Game, and would like to thank the many dedicated distributors, retailers and players who have supported it over the years. Despite our best efforts to stimulate gameplay, we have been unable to maintain enough consumer interest to sustain the brand and, as such, Wizards of the Coast has made the decision to discontinue all future English language releases of the Duel Masters trading card game.

The Thrash of the Hybrid Megacreatures expansion, which released December 1, 2006, will serve as the final set. This decision has no effect on our plans for future releases in Japan, where the Duel Masters TCG continues to be a solid success.

Wizards will support the game both online and through our customer service department for the foreseeable future. We will also be sanctioning tournaments and producing ratings and rankings through 2007.
Duel Masters needs your help. Sign the Duel Masters Petition to help save this wonderful game.

I also humbly ask the moderator to sticky this so it can get as much attention as possible. We NEED the signatures.

I'm offended by the lack of faith you have in me, Pogi. XD

Seriously, the Duel Masters series had one of the most simple systems for a TCG, and managed to pull out a system that is at least twice as deep as YGO. It took the prize system in pokemon and fixed it. It did essentially everything right, and made it screw-proof. How is that not an elegant game?
