Sorry for all the confusion. THis is a team that I will make in-game to battle over WiFi. Its not a NB or competitor team, so HP is pretty much out. (Unless I get mega lucky)

Gengar w/ Black Sludge (Does it heal more than lefties?)
'Levitate' : Immune to (Ground) attacks.
<Timid : -Att / +Spd>
EVs: 56 HP / 202 Spec attack / 252 Speed
IVs: 31 Hp / 31 Spec Attack / 31 Speed
* Shadow Ball
* Energy Ball
* Will-O-Wisp
* Hypnosis

OR

Weavile w/ChoiceBand
'Pressure' : Opponent uses 2 PP instead of 1 PP.
<Jolly : +Spd / -Sat>
EVs: 84 Hp / 252 Hp / 172 Speed (362 Speed... thats good enough... right? lol)
IVs: 31 Hp / 31 Atk / 31 Speed
* Ice Punch
* Night Slash (Blade test's new name?)
* Focus Punch
* Pursuit

Yeah... Lead, hes fast.

Dosiadon (Rhyperior is soo lame) w/ Choice Band
'Solid Rock' : Lowers super effective damage.
<Adamant : -Sp Att, + Att>
EVs: 252 Attack / 200 Spec Def / 52 Speed
IVs: 31 Hp / 31 Attack / 31 Speed
* Megahorn
* Earthquake
* Stone Edge
* Snow Slide

Physical Sweeper with CB thanks to 4J (from another forum).
I'll stick with SnowSlide for more ice-ness, and without speed passes, he'll be ok with it I hope.

Togekiss w/ Leftovers
'Serene Grace' : Doubles Extra Effects.
<Modest : -Att, +Sp Att>
EVs: 108 Hp/252 Spec Attack/44 def/104 speed
IVs: 31 Hp/31 Spec attack/31 speed
* Scheme
* Air Slash (60% Flinch? =D)
* Pulse Bomb
* Thunderwave

Big Focus of the team + Special Sweeper. Thunderwave is in for the flinchhax, and helps Rhyperior.

Dragonite w/ Leftovers/Life Orb
'Inner Focus' : Prevents Flinching
<Adamant : -Spec Attack, +Atk>
EVs: 56 Hp / 252 Attack / 16 Def / 184 Spd (Lol, Def EVs stop a Ice Pebble from killing me)
IVs: 31 Hp / 31 Atk / 31 Spd
* Dragon Dance
* Earthquake
* Dragon Claw
* Thunder

Yay, Dragonite! Dragon Claw is physical now, so DD can really do him some good. EQ for more type coverage + steels, and FB for Skarm/Pesky Ices that would take more damage from a crappy fire attack.
FB 2HKOs Skarm, OHKO just can't happen with what I want him for.

Blissey w/ Leftovers
'Natural Cure' : Heals status upon switching out.
<Bold : -Att, +Def>
EVs: 212 Hp/252 Def/44 Spec attack
IVs: 31 Hp/31Def/31 Spec Def
* Soft boiled
* Aromatherapy
* Seismic Toss
* Ice beam

Yeah... Blissey. Seismic Toss to stop Raikou, thanks to AragornBird

Magnezone w/ Leftovers
'Magnet Pull' : Steel Types cannot switch out.
<Modest : -Att, + Sp Att>
EVs: 80 Hp/252 Sp Attack/70 Defense/108 Spec def (maybe?)
IVs: 31 Hp/31 Spec Attack/ 31 Def
* Electrolevitate
* Thunderbolt
* Thunder Wave
* Luster Cannon

Eh, yeah.

I'm not sure on my lead. Either Gengar or Weaville, but I don't know which one. Both have thier ups and downs... Any opinions?

Thanks a bunch!
~Hip

well i'd like to point out the fact that snow slide on rhyperior may not as be as promising as it seems. if the point of ninjask is to support rhyperior (boost speed + attack), then that completely lowers the possibility that snow slide will double in power. but then again, it is a good deal vs dragons. meh, i dunno XD ... do you know if there is a speed boost max? cus if you max out with agility and speed boost still does its job, then i'd think ninjask would do its job a whole lot better. rhyperior definitely doesn't need swords dance... i mean, come on, that's just some unnecessary power on him when he already has choice band.

did you think about substitute + feather rest on ninjask? instead of having to use protect, then substitute, you could also do some annoyance if it came to it. it also gives you at least 5 speed boosts per baton pass.

magnezone... electrolevitate on it is good stuff. distribute 2/3 of those HP evs to defense and sp def (most on sp def).

Yeah, Passing to CBers = fail.

Dosiadon (Rhyperior is soo lame) @ Choice Band
Adamant Natute (-spec attack, + attack)
EVs: 252 Attack / 200 Spec Def / 52 Speed
IVs: 31 Hp / 31 Attack / 31 Speed

Hawt.

Togekiss @ Leftovers

IVs: 31 Hp/31 Spec attack/31 speed
Ability: Serene Grace
-Scheme
-Air Slash (60% Flinch? =D)
-Pulse Bomb
-Thunderwave

T-Wave helps out Rhyperior's slowness as well as your own flinchhaxing.

Milotic @ Leftovers
Bold Nature (-attack, + def)
EVs: 212 Hp (Whatever max lefties is)/252 Def/40 spec attack
IVs: 31 Hp / 31 Def / 31 spec def (maybe)
Ability: Marvel Scale
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Rest
-Sleep Talk

Max HP/Def always. Even then, you'll still get 2KO by CBMence/Tar which is why Swampert is generally preferred.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Bold Nature (-attack, + def)
EVs: 212 Hp/252 Def/44 Spec attack
IVs: 31 Hp/31Def/31 Spec Def
Ability: Natural Cure
-Softboiled
-Aromatheropy
-Seismic Toss
-Icebeam

T-Wave isn't really needed. Raikou easily sets up on you without Seismic Toss.

Jibacoil @ Leftovers
Modest Nature
EVs: 252 Hp/252 Sp Attack/4 Spec defNot quite sure....
IVs: 31 Hp/31 Spec Attack/ 31 Def
Ability: Magnet Pull
-Electrolevitate
-Thunderbolt
-Thunder Wave
-Luster Cannon

It works. HP Grass/Ice over Luster Cannon if you can.
Trouble with Electivire (especially HP Grass ones). One wrong Electric move can lead to a sweep (depending on how healthy Rhyperior is).

Well, I plan on doing an In-game team, so HP isn't really accessable or a threat really. (Anyone who breeds THAT much or gets that lucky deserves to win =P).
I'd also like to try to play without legendaries, as I have none on my team, so I'd like to battle other people without them, other wise i might stick something in.

Yeah, ninjask can get the sack. He was the plan before I got the suggestion for a CB Rhyperior, and I just didn't feel good using him. What should I put in instead of him?

Ses Toss on Bliss is a go, that sounds good, and Milotic can get the sack for something, I'm not too sure about Swampert... how does he handle the bigger guys? And would he want ReSTalk as well? Or what for him?
Magnezone can get the sack, but then i have my skarm weakness again, and I don't know what else to stick in there.

Any ideas on replacement pokes?

Thanks, made the changes.

If this is in-game and not competitive battling, I seriously doubt you will be running into a CBmence or CBtar anytime soon. Milotic would be just fine, blasting away weak, non-EV boosted AI opponents into next week with Ice Beam. Swampert is superior with its typing and higher base Def that can take hits from the aforementioned two all day long. Sleep Talk isn't really common though.

Next time, please indicate if this is an in-game or link/NB team to avoid confusing those that would take time to rate your team.

Hey Hippo.

Since your losing your lead i guess two that would fill that void would be Gengar ~or~ Weavile.

Gengar w/Leftovers
'Levitate' : Immune to (Ground) attacks.
<Timid : +Spd / -Att>
* Shadow Ball
* Energy Ball
* Will-O-Wisp
* Hypnosis

I went with *Energy Ball > *Thunderbolt because you have Magnezone and no way to deal with Swampert. Nothing smarts the opponent more than starting a dual with a *Hypnosis in the grill.

~~~~~~~OR~~~~~~~
Weavile w/ChoiceBand
'Pressure' : Opponent uses 2 PP instead of 1 PP.
<Jolly : +Spd / -Sat>
* Ice Punch
* Blade Test
* Focus Punch / *Brick Break
* Pursuit
I like *Focus Punch > *Brick Break but for InGame i'd go *Brick Break because the opponent never switches. This thing is a (Ghost) / (Psychic) killer and also gives you the quick (Ice) attacks you said you were lacking.
Sorry for not providing EV's but there are smarter cats than me that can help you there.
Shanecdavis, I'm sorry for all the confusion. I meant this is an ingame team as it will be made in game (I cannot do HP) but I aim to play with it over WiFi.
So its a WiFi competative team, which will be done in game, not with NB or competitor.
I think I'll go with the Gengar. He looks much cooler than Weavile and I like him more =P
Your set looks really nice, WoW for phystical types that aren't hera preferably, then Hypnosis for the bigger threats, then blast away? =P
Timid sounds good, my team could use a little speed.
For the item however, I think I'll go with Black Sludge. Its a new item, and it restores HP for poison types, and lowers HP of non-poison types. I'm not sure how much it does, but I think its a little better than lefties. It also has that extreme factor =P
I'm not really sure on the EVs however though, but i'd say you're a pretty smart cat. How does 252 Speed/202 Spec attack/ 56 HP sound? I really have no idea what to do for him, but I want to be fast, as his defenses aren't too great, and I'd like to pack a nice punch as well.
Sorry for all the confusion. I'll edit those guys in. I also stole your format if thats ok =P
yeah that's a good set for gengar, and black sludge restores 1/8 rather 1/16 (leftovers), so yeah, a good choice.
Yup. You're right. Sometimes i put Leftovers down as a reflex.;) If Samson is right and it's 1/8 instead of 1/16 than it's a no brainer.
As for EV's this is popular for NetBattle / Competitor...
HP:172 / Def:56 / Sat:92 / Spd:188
As you can see it's more defensive minded seeing as how he's using 2 Status Effect moves. Since this will be InGame and for WiFi I'm adapting this strategy to fit your 3 Perfect IV framework.
HP:236 / Sat:84 / Spd:188
This will give him 320 HP and let him get 20 HP per round. I'm not going with 1/8 HP per turn until i get proof - I know the Ability 'Poison Heal' gives 1/8 HP per turn but i haven't seen that about Black Sludge yet.
If you want a more offensive Gengar than just adjust the HP EVs down by 16 stat points ~or~ 64 EV points.
So your options are...
EVs: 236 = 320 HP <20 HP per>
EVs: 172 = 304 HP <19 HP per>
EVs: 108 = 288 HP <18 HP per>
EVs: 44 = 272 HP <17 HP per>
From what i can tell 333 Spd is the # to shoot for and 188 EV's + <Timid> puts you on the nose. If you are really concerned about speed than i would consider using Adherence Scarf because there will be some Leads packing that to take out Gengars.
I'd keep Spd Ev's at 188 and just transfer whatever HP EV's you don't use to Sat but i'd keep it on the Recovery Table above because he will be dishing out Status Effects more than sweeping so the Recovery is important.
Okie dokie, I'll change the EVs for speed to 188 fore sure then. I'm just not sure about spec attack/Hp.
I'd really like to paralyze most opponents for the Flinchhax with Togekiss + Rhyperior's crappy speed.
I can paralyze over a burn, right? It will just cancel out the old one with the new? (I've never really used status lol..)
I like Gengar a ton, but I would prefer to paralyze stuff to help out the rest of the team.
Maybe burns and things to help my guys switch in, then replace with paralyze for the pwn.
I might give him 108 Hp, which is enough for 18/36 to recover, 212 Spec attack.
Or maybe 64 More Hps, and a 64 less spec attack, one of those two, but I'm not sure yet.
Thanks a ton for all the help.
What do you think would be the best way to do the EVs with the intent to paralyze and such?
No, you cannot stack status conditions. If a Poke is already BRN, Thunder Wave (along with any other status move - Toxic, Spore, etc.) will not work. Confusion and Attract the only additional status you can add since they aren't a true status condition.
I know it cannot be both, but if I use a thunder wave, it will not replace the burn?
Rats, that kinda throws a kink in my plan.
Ugh, so do I keep Gengar with WoW or sack it?
I suppose I can keep it, and stick with my only 60% flinchhax :(
Rats.
You could always replace *Will-O-Wisp if you don't want to clog everything up with Burn status.
He has many good attacks to choose from <*Thunderbolt / *Focus Blast / *Psychic / *Sludge Bomb (STAB)>. He could also go with *Destiny Bond for a nice kick in the nads. And lets not forget he could go BOOM <*Explosion> if he wanted a little bit of Physical pop.
I think I'll go with Thunderbolt then. Wasn't too sure if Gengar would work with something non WoW. Poison is just too crappy as an attack type, even with STAB, its just too weak against too many types.
I think I'll go with 108 Hp/212 Spec Attack/188 speed then, thanks a ton.
Also, if Gengar has Bolt, would I be ok taking out Megnazone? He was only there to cover my Skarm weak, but if Gengar has bolt, he can kinda do it. I'll kinda look for a replacement for him, any suggestions? Or would I be best to keep it?
hmm i dunno, with electrolevitate, magnezone does have pretty good defenses. only have fire and fighting types for a weakness, and with a base sp attack of 130, you can ignore some sp attack EVs and focus on defenses.
Eh, yeah. I suppose I'll keep him in, unless a really good option comes along.
For my empty slot I was thinking Dragonite.
Dragonite w/ Leftovers/Shell Bell?
'Inner Focus' : Prevents Flinching
<Lonely : -Def, +Atk>
EVs: 56 Hp / 204 Attack / 64 Sp Atk /184 Spd
IVs: 31 Hp / 31 Atk / 31 Spd
* Dragon Dance
* Earthquake
* Dragon Claw
* Ice Beam (Need help)
Eh yeah, I really like Dragonite. Hes another attack power i could benefit from, and Dragon Dance is cool. I'd like to think i made it up myself (looked off smogon for some EV help) but its Best Leftovers for his Hp, enough Sp Attack so that he should be able to OHKO Garchomp with Ice beam, just for the hell of it (I don't know if this helps at all... Does it?) And enough speed to be kinda fast. Ok, i stole the speed from Smogon. Dragon Claw as physical really helps him out, STABed claw, EQ because its great and covers some types dragon doesn't, and Ice Beam because I wanted another Ice attack thats kinda dependable. I'm just worried that his defense will be too low (-nature) to hold up against Ice Pebble from Mamoswine or something. Would I be able to switch if he just came in? Or would the pebble go first? Heh, i'm noob.
So yeah, opinions on Dragonite? I suppose I could go with Adamant nature, put the spec attack EVs into something different, then go for a different last attack.
Ideas? =D
For future reference anything using (Dragon) as an attack type must carry (Fire) to accompany it. (Steel) will resist (Dragon) so that's where (Fire) comes in.
*Earthquake + *Thunderbolt would work because *Thunderbolt would cover Skarmory while *Earthquake could deal with the other (Steel) types but it's just easier to carry *Fire Blast and kill 2 birds with one stone.
I don't really like (Ice) + (Dragon) attacks together because usually (Ice) is too take out (Dragon) types which (Dragon) attacks also do.
I really think the Weavile i suggested would make a better lead for this team because it fills so many needs. It gives you UBERFAST (Ice) to take out scary (Dragon) types - (Dark) to take out speedy (Ghost) / (Psychic) types. *Pursuit is to run down those (Ghost) / (Psychic) types when they head for Zee Hills. And *Focus Punch lets you smash something in the grill when you force switches which Weavile will likely do seeing how many things are scared of him.
Umm...no. Dragon doesn't call for fire attacks at all. Sure, the flameclaw combo covers everything, but it has very few super effectives and in the case of Dragonite DC is there merely for raw STAB power. (You would actually get better coverage with DC, Thunderpunch, Ice Punch) Besides, EQ pretty much handles steels (Only exception is Skarm, which can be dealt with by Thunder if necessary). Anyway, I don't know the exact set for D/P Dragonite, but I do believe that the held item of choice is Life Orb. Throw in a couple of DDs and that CB-equivalent power bonus to Dragonite's already formidable Attack and you've got yourself a vicious killing machine. As a pure guess, I'd say Adamant is the way to go with nature. :3
I don't make it a habit of disagreeing with you much Alter Ego.
I guess i don't put as much stock in coverage as you. I'd rather have *Fire Blast clear the path and use *Outrage in the extra slot for the Extra Power when needed.
I must admit i don't use Dragonite nearly as much as i should and i swear he suffers from Looking like Barney Syndrome. If he was a cool looking (Dragon) he'd get more of the love that his Stats + Movepool would suggest he deserves.
Wouldn't going for coverage make him more effective if his (Ice) / (Electric) attacks where of the Special Variety? I would thing *Ice Beam / *Thunderbolt would work better in a Mixed Form.
Has anyone even tried out Special Sweeper Dragonite with Adherence Glasses and *Draco Meteor? I know it would be a knock off Salamence but he does get <Bolt / Beam> coverage which Salamence doesn't.
I don't really like (Ice) + (Dragon) attacks together because usually (Ice) is too take out (Dragon) types which (Dragon) attacks also do.
I really think the Weavile i suggested would make a better lead for this team because it fills so many needs. It gives you UBERFAST (Ice) to take out scary (Dragon) types - (Dark) to take out speedy (Ghost) / (Psychic) types. *Pursuit is to run down those (Ghost) / (Psychic) types when they head for Zee Hills. And *Focus Punch lets you smash something in the grill when you force switches which Weavile will likely do seeing how many things are scared of him.
Okie dokie, for Dragonite, i'll go with FireBlast over Ice Beam, and even with a - nature, he can still 2HKO Skarm, 1 hit is just out.
Dragonite w/ Leftovers/Life Orb
'Inner Focus' : Prevents Flinching
<Adamant : -Spec Attack, +Atk>
EVs: 56 Hp / 252 Attack / 16 Def / 184 Spd (Lol, Def EVs stop a Ice Pebble from killing me)
IVs: 31 Hp / 31 Atk / 31 Spd
* Dragon Dance
* Earthquake
* Dragon Claw
* Fire Blast
I really want Dragon Claw on there, like Alter Ego said, its Pure STAB power, then EQ is back up for steels/pokes weak to it. Woo hoo, hes in, I love him. How much damage does Life Orb do? I kinda like leftovers, it helps him stick around some, but I might switch to life orb. How much more damage do I do? And how much HP do I lose?
Hm... Weaville... I really like Gengar, but Weavile isn't too bad. (Probopass however... though hes totally silly) I'll look into it. It would give my team and Ice-Resist, but I really don't like that 4x fighting weak. I'll consider him, and just keep him away from fighting and stuff. I kinda like Gengar, because he can switch into stuff with his typing (fighting mainly) and hes pretty sweet anyway. Weavile will make them run for Ze Hills, but I've never battled competitively before, so it'll take some practice to get a focus punch down. I'll definitely think about him though. I'm not so sure about a second choice bander, but I can work around it. It'll just take some practice. (Ugh, more BPs unless I go for teh clonez)
Thanks for all the help!
Life Orb is x1.3 and takes 1/10 your HP.
Thanks a bunch.
Is it worth it then? 10% is a fair bit, more than lefies would heal (thought I don't have both, wish i did =D) and 1.3 is decent, but I'm not too sure. I think I might stick with leftovers, as he can dragon dance a couple times to get the attack bonus and not have to suffer hp loss when he attacks.
Also, for the CB Weavile, is that the best? It just seems like I would have to start with Pursuit/Focus Punch if I think they'll switch at all, but if they pull off a move or two first, then i'm kinda in a jam with it.
I read on Smogon that there is a glitch with *Pursuit + ChoiceBand as it doesn't restrict you to that move. I'm not sure on this because i haven't played Pearl yet - April can't get here quick enough - but you should do a search there and see what you can find.
It's so broken if it lets you hunt down the Gengar you switch in on then lets you choose an attack you want ChoiceBand.
I agree with Alter Ego here. Fire Blast is not a good choice. What can this Dragonite do against a bulky Water switch in? Switch out or die, that's what. Thunder is a much better choice as it can still cause pain to Skarmory and it will definitely make your opponent pay for switching in that bulky Water.
Done. You're the man, Shane. Now come to the 4th [email protected]@@@@@@@
Oh, thats a pretty nifty glitch, Hopefully that sticks around... It's April, we just need it to be the 22... And I need a DS....
CB it is then, I'll probably pick Weavile and just watch out for those fighting types.
