Palettes: Same as GBA palette editing.
Oak: TLP, find the rowan sprite and replace it.
Wooper: A couple of bytes in hex, or sebbe's tool.
Text: Maybe a Spanish rom?
what are the offsets?
and what format in TLP?

I think it's a little more user-friendly
But find the offsets yourself :)

I have a whole sheet of offsets for it

How much progress have you done in making
the 3D map editor? :\ Once you make it you will probably be able
move the 3D blocks around on the map. ;)

Anyway, I'd love to see the different tools used to hack it... Since it has 3D graphics, it may be hard...

Actually that's just a joke program. It just shutdowns your computer when you click the save button. Check out this string I found on the binary:

C:\Users\ Michael\Docume nts\Visual Studio 2 005\Projects\roflpretend virus\roflpretendvirus\obj\Release\renamer outes.pdb (spaces added to prevent URL detecting, cause that is not an URL)

And this one too:

ShutDown /f

Not, First of all i don't like the name, but could you just stop spaming about it? Give them some time? I know Gabe is working a it... And Darthatron is Making an über cool "All in one Editor" (Not a mapping Editor)

Hey, guys, I'm totaly noob in rom hacking, but I'm learning fast.
The thing is: I'm trying to translate Pokémon D, but I'm having a problem. I unpacked the nds file, uncompressed msg.narc with narctool, learned how to use poketext, edited a file (341.bin, where's the introduction text), reencoded this file and put it into msg.narc again. But now, I can't repack the rom. I mean, I did it, but no$gba says the rom is crashed...
Oh, and there's a weird detail: when I unpack the nds file, the folder created is smaller than the original file. And when I repack it, the final nds file is smaller than the original...

Can somebody help me?! I learned a lot in this forum, but i can't solve that...

Well the smaller file size is normal and is nothing bad, but I don't know. What unpacker are you using? I use DSLazy.

I'm using that too...
I guess that I'm not editing the file the wrong way, but here is what I do: Every letter has two bits, where the last one is 01. I saved a printscreen when I was editing. Don't know if will help, but possible I'm doing something wrong:

AFAIK, the file doesn't work with no$gba after unpacking and repacking. It does work with the IDeaS emulator though. If you wanted to, you could make an unmodified unpacked-->repacked .NDS file, and do a comparison with the modified unpacked-->repacked .NDS file. Then find those bytes in the 64MB from the original unpacked-->repacked .NDS file, and replace them with the ones from the modified unpacked-->repacked .NDS file.

Example of a directory:
1-Original
2-Copy of Original
3-Original-->Unpacked-->Repacked
4-Original-->Unpacked-->Modified-->Repacked

Now compare 3 and 4 and find the differences in 4 from 3. Now modify 2 by searching for those original parts in 3, and replacing them with the ones from the same location in 4.

If thats not clear enough let me know and I'll try to go into a little more detail, although this should be good enough to figure it out.

Note: All these steps are just to get it working with no$gba if you're really that desperate. If you don't care, then just repack as normal and use with IDeaS.

I'm using Tahaxan, I've been looking through the files and I haven't found anything
of controling the 3D polygons, I'm trying help as much as I can. ;)

Well, I tried with IDeaS and didn't work too. I don't know if I understood that other method well, but what I did was search every bytes that original_repacked have in common with original. Then, if those bytes were different in the modified_repacked, I should change but I had to stop in a section that doesn't exist in the original file and is totally diferent from original_repacked to modified_repacked.

I figured out another thing: the modified_repacked is bigger, because every bin files extracted from msg.narc are listed in a extra section, that doesn't exists in the original_repacked. I tried delete that section, so both files could be equivallent, but it doesn't works neither...

Considering that, I think the problem is the narc repacking, am I right?!
