It's description on other web sites say that it has a 10% chance to pick up and item after each battler and I've had it happen to me before, so I'll say yes, it does work after trainer battles.

What is the item called "TinyMushroom" and what is it for/what does it do? I checked Serebii, but I didn't see it on the item list.
I think it doesn't do anything in the game. But im not quite sure. Maybe it enchance a certain type of Pokemon. That's what i think.

You can sell it for 250$, and if you are playing FR/LG, you can use the Move Relearner in exchange for them

I was just EV training my Larvitar. I was using the power weight and pokerus to make the Ev's earned 10 (I was training against Bidoofs). I kept track, and I earned 86 HP Evs. But, when I went to go give it an HP Up (Planning to give it 9 for a total of 176), it wouldn't take them. What did I do wrong?

The vitamins only work if the amount of EVs you have in that stat is below 100. Since it has 86 EVs, I'm going to guess that you used two HP Ups, and then it stopped taking them since 106 > 100.

why do people look at the trainer card before catching a shiny pokemon?

been watching youtube vids on chaining
It does nothing, so I'm going to say that they do it because they feel like it.

if you already caught a shiny can you keep the chain going and still have the same probability to catch another one?
I'm pretty sure not, unless you manage to chain another 40 Pokemon afterwards.

No, it wouldn't take the first HP Up I gave it. I did give it a Protein, just 1, however. I'm still at 86.

The probability of finding a shiny is determined by your SID, and to an extent by your ID, so that may be why.

Happened to me a couple of times. You need to be quick in getting those 50 or less steps as well as not straying too far from where you were last chaining or else your chain will end early. Those are my observations anyway.
It doesn't matter the time you take walking the ≤50 steps to reset the radar. You could leave your DS alone for days, and provided the pokémon you were chaining doesn't only appear at a certain time and wasn't a swarm pokémon, the chain should still be there.

Also, it's 10 steps. You can't go more than 10 steps from where you fought the last chain-continuing pokémon.

EDIT: Just verifying that what the below poster said is indeed true.

I'm pretty sure you can, as long as you don't break the chain, the increased chances of finding a Shiny shouldn't be reset "/

I like burying spheres around my secret base in rows, filling up the floor space as I go - I like to see how they grow, and also I find that there are always loads of places to dig into the walls wherever the spheres have been buried.

I bury the spheres systematically in rows, so I was very surprised to find that a couple of days later, about 10 of the spheres I had buried were missing.

(a) I was the only person who had been down in my underground during that time
(b) there is no way that I dug them up again - I always leave them to grow

so, I'm wondering, where in the world did they go? Perhaps there is a limit to how many spheres can be buried in the ground at any one time? If so I would like to know just how many can be buried at one time.
Or maybe do spheres disappear if left in the ground too long?

any ideas anybody, or anyone had similar, or different experiences with this?

discuss :)

I'm not sure where I read this, but I've heard that sometimes if the same spheres are buried in an area, they merge. Like a group/couple of pale spheres can merge into one. Maybe that's where they went? I don't know if it's happened in my game or not...

Okay, I've done a little homework on EV training, and I think I got the idea down. Now, can you do me a favor and help me understand how to record the following data:

My Elekid (originally a Lv1, just hatched) recently defeated 26 Machokes (2 Atk EV) and is now a Lv 20. Each fight consisted on the wild Machoke appearing, me switching out to a stronger Pokemon, and defeating it. I fought nothing but Machokes.

The Elekid has an Adament nature (+Atk, -SAtk). The whole time it was holding a Power Bracer.

So, for each Machoke did the Elekid get 6 Atk EV? Or did the Adament nature make it more like 7?

Thanks. I've just barely figured out STAB and EVs and am trying to better my team.

Nope, the nature of the pokemon doesn't affect the EV gain of the pokemon, ergo, it would get 6 EV's for every Machoke defeated.

Hello, I just acquired the Secret Key and am planning on changing my Rotom's form soon. I was wondering will Rotom learn the same move set if I evolve it to another form? Or will this cancel out what the Rotom would have learned had I not changed it's form?

I just don't want to change it's form and then lose out on some of the moves it gets through leveling.

Also if I trade a Rotom from Pearl to Platinum will I be able to change it's form with the same Secret Key and trade it back? Just curious.

Thank you in advance for all your help!

If you change its form to (we'll say the fan) You'd be able to teach it only those moves. However, when you change it back and you want to teach the original Rotom one of it's lvl up moves, you would have to go to the move toutor so it could learn the move. When you change it from the wind forme to the original, it will go back to the moveset it had before you changed it will be there.

I hope I helped!

Some of you may have me added already, I assure you that I haven't played my original Pokemon White version in years. Why? It was stolen. The White Version I play now is one I got as a gift. Any FC you may have for me is out of date (probably)

If you change its form it still learns its level-up moves as normal. I know because I just redid my Platinum with a Rotomower and he learned all his moves still.
