I've googled and searched a bunch of pages on how to upgrade the elite 4 in platinum and it told me I needed to get the national dex. I've done everything I needed to get the national dex and talked to rowan and oak already, but whenever I enter the elite 4 I battle the same level 49 yanmega. So far I've only beaten the elite 4 once, I haven't caught dialga/palkia, I've visited pal park, talked to prof oak about the 3 lendaries articuno, zapdos, and that other crummy chicken, and I'm not sure what to do next. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've beaten Flint/Volkner once at battle frontier already, just caught dialga/palkia at mt. coronet and the elite four has still not upgraded. I've rechecked to make sure I have the national dex and unfortunately I do. I'll have to head on over to stark mountain and complete the quest there. Hopefully that will upgrade the elite four. Also, platinum walkthroughs should really think about changing some of their info. Battling volkner/flint and getting national dex does not upgrade the elite four.

Ok...so I just bought pokemon Platinum and an action replay. I started the game and used the codes to get all 5 of the pokemon that I wanted to use for the whole game (Piplup not included.) I got Swablu, Ralts, Torchic, Budew, and Eevee. But I've been noticing that my pokemon aren't lvling the way they should be. It's been very slow. I can't even reach lvl 15. Does anyone have an idea as to why I can't lvl?
Thank you.

Early in my Sapphire game, I got the Colosseum Bonus Disc Jirachi. I used the thing 24/7. I traded it to my other Sapphire, and thank God because my mom spilt coffee on my GBA with the 'old' Sapphire in it. Jirachi soon hit level 100, then I traded him to LeafGreen. I used him 24/7 then, and migrated him to Diamond as soon as possible. Just recently (like, 2 days ago) I traded him to my Platinum. He's not EV trained, but I might wipe his EV's and start again..

Okay I am soo happy. I need someone to check this IV Stat for my Feraligatr lvl.100. Adamant natured, "Likes To Thrash About" Has Egg move Dragon Dance and Waterfall. Stats: HP: 301 Attack: 270 Defence: 223 Special Attack: 172 Special Defence: 181 Speed:185. And 0 EVs. (Also I saved before I only lvled him to 100 to check his IVs) I checked on Veekun and Serebiis calculator and they said perfect Attack stats. And just so you noticed or I noticed the previous feraligatr I asked to be for Attack IVs also had perfect attack IVs except I noticed my second one has the egg moves and for all its stats they are all superior than my old one. Just me or luck?

I know it isn't possible in R/S, and I was under the impression that it was impossible in D/P/Pl.
But recently I've heard about people being able to clone Pokemon in the fourth gen games....so, is it possible? O.o
Yes. The GTS cloning glitch. Won't work in Platinum though.

Well, if the parents had good IVs, then there might be a chance that your Feraligatr(s) inherited those good IVs since IVs are passed down. This describes the situation I'm talking about. Might also be that you're just lucky.
(Seriously, 5 hours a day for 5 days? That's only 25 hours! I could only get slightly decent IVs in that amount of time ;_;)

Really? I didn't even breed with any good IV parents. I just got 1 to have adamant nature AKA Female with everstone. Then the other is Lax but has "Likes to Thrash About" Then I just waited for 3 hours yesterday and today until hatch and poof and Sit and then type type type then jump up and down and scream of joy.

So here I was breeding a Charizard I traded from Red and a Snorlax I had evolved from Munchlax in Pokémon Platinum in an attempt at a Bellyzard build.

The offspring ended up being a shiny Charmander with a serious nature. Additionally, he was born at Mt. Coronet.

Is this commonplace? If not, I'd like to train him in a way that he'd reach his maximum potential. I've heard of something about EV? How could I use it to make my Bellyzard build more powerful?

I have so many questions, but I suppose the only necessary one would be how to train this rare Pokémon (unless it isn't) so he can be the best Charizard he can be.

By the way, he's level 1 at the moment. I await your replies with bated breath.

Regards,

CM

What happens when I connect the Wi-Fi Union Room (Platinum) there are rooms that line up horizontal in different colors (e.g. yellow, then green, and now another that is purple lol, the first one was blue). It adds on after connecting so much. =\

in a double battle, if a Pokémon holding a Focus Sash gets hit twice, will it faint? Example:
Weavile with Focus Sash. Gets hit and goes down to 1 HP. the opponents next Pokémon hits Weavile again. Does the Focus Sash hold or does it faint?

Focus Sash is going to resist the first hit.

Tis cause of how many people you have in your Pal Pad :3
If you have one page there will only be one "floor" (or "room"), if you have two pages in your Pal Pad then there will be two rooms, etc.

Ooh, serious. XP That's not a good nature at all. You should read the stickies at the top of the strategies and movesets forums, but here's a quick summary of what you should know:

Natures: Every pokemon has a nature. Natures raise one stat by 10% and lower another by 10%. For example, the Adamant nature rasies Attack but lowers Special Attack. A modest nature does the opposite. Serious nature, however, gives you no stat boost, and that is highly undesirable in your training.

If, however, you still want to use your Charmander, you could train it. Shiny pokemon are usually just as strong as normal pokemon, so unless you're striving for a really good pokemon, go right ahead and use it.

Now, EVs: EVs, or Effort Values(sometimes called EPs, or effort points) are given out by pokemon when you kill them. For example, killing a Starly gives you one EV point in Speed. Get four EV points, and your stat goes up by one. You can only get 252, or a +63 stat boost in a particular stat(at most) and you can only max out two stats in this way. There are items to speed this up, and a disease called Pokerus, but you can learn all about that and much more by reading the stickies.

Oh, and BTW, hatching an egg in Mt. Coronet doesn't increase your shiny possibilities. There is always a 1 in about 8,000 chance.
