-Item: Life Orb
-Trait: Rash
-Ability: Sand Stream
-EVs: 184 ATK / 212 SPCL ATK / 112 SPD
-Moveset:
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
Earthquake
Pursuit

I have posted this one before, here. Of course, since then, I've tweaked with the EVs and Trait a bit.

-Item: Leftovers
-Trait: Impish
-Ability: Sand Veil
-EVs: 244 HP / 176 ATK / 88 DEF
-Moveset:
Roost
Stealth Rock
Earthquake
Aerial Ace

Heracross counter + Stealth Rocker + Physical absorber

-Item: Choice Band
-Trait: Adamant
-Ability: Solid Rock
-EVs: 252 HP / 252 ATK / 4 SPCL DEF
-Moveset:
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Megahorn
Avalanche

I'm considering Hammer Arm over either Avalanche or Megahorn, depending on what's needed more, for this team, to put in a Physical Fighting move.

-Item: Shed Shell
-Trait: Modest
-Ability: Magnet Pull
-EVs: 252 HP / 56 DEF / 120 SPCL ATK / 80 SPCL DEF
-Moveset:
Metal Sound
Magnet Rise
Thunderbolt
Hidden Power [Grass]

Nothing much to say here...

-Item: Choice Scarf
-Trait: Modest
-Ability: Steadfast
-EVs: 4 HP / 252 SPCL ATK / 252 SPD
-Moveset:
Aura Sphere
Dragon Pulse
Shadow Ball
Hidden Power [Fire]

Special Sweeper, with Choice Specs, to make an impact, without getting KOed the first turn. Of course, I'll have to be careful, when switching with him.

-Item: Leftovers
-Trait: Relaxed
-Ability: Torrent
-EVs: 236 HP / 116 ATK / 84 DEF / 72 SPCL ATK
-Moveset:
Roar
Hydro Pump
Earthquake
Ice Punch

My Bulky Water, on the block.

Roar is for pHazing and systematically denting Pokemon with Stealth Rock in play.

I'd rather not rely on low SPD to cherish Avalanche, unlike Rhyperior, who is impossible to strike first with, and I figured that I give Ice Punch a chance.

magnezone really doesn't need that many HP EVs. i'd put more into defense. also, i'm not so sure about metal sound. i'd go for light screen for some better support.

i'm having the same situation with rhyperior. i haven't put it to much competitive use yet, but i wasn't sure if i should drop avalanche or megahorn for hammer arm. but i tell you what: that avalanche really comes in handy. my rhyperior was all that was left up against a submence with a couple DDs, and it took care of it after a few turns (and yeah, sandstream was up).

Wrong! HP is the first thing you should max out on a Pokémon with average/low HP, but high defenses, not only because high defenses don't help with your HP sucks, but also because HP protects you from both physical and special attacks while you'd waste alot of EV point if you'd want the same durability by focusing on the defenses. As for Light Screen support, It's not really necessary because Sandstorm (supposedly) raises the Sp.Defense of Ground, Rock and Steel types by one stage in D/P. What this team needs imo, is a proper special sponge such as:

Cradily @ Big Root
Trait: Suction Cups
EVs: 252 HP / 40 SAtk / 216 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)

Energy Ball
Amnesia
Recover
Hidden Power [FIRE]/Toxic/Filler

Cradily is awesome at soaking up special attacks, and if Sandstorm really increases Sp.Defense, this thing is a real beast. If you're going to use Cradily, replace either Magnezone or Rhyperior with it because they seem to be the only Pokémon on your team that aren't absolutely necessary for it.

Once Swampert is out, Garchomp is going to have the time of its life with your team. It's a pretty solid Sandstorm team, though. The movesets look fine to me and I can't see any glaring weaknesses.

my mistake, i don't really know much about the point uptake of HP, but it just seems with an already low HP, and with a wide variety of physical fighting attacks out there, magnezone looks like it needs some more defensive stability.

umm why do you have big root on cradily without Giga Drain? or any HP draining move for that matter?

>_> You put Special Attack on Swampert why? Please take it off. Put those extra EVs into Attack and make it Adamant, not Relaxed.
Tyranitar is not the best when it comes to mixed sweeping, but by all means, go for it, but I don't guarantee it will work.

I suppose that's one way, to put it. :-P

I thought the Sandstorm bonus only worked for Rock types, but I have my hopes up for all three.

I'll take a Special Sponge into consideration, seeing how my Defense > Special Defense. If any replacement is done, it's going to be Magnezone. Rhyperior is way too cool to give up, especially with a Choice Bander on my side.

I wouldn't count on that, too much. Life Orbed Ice Beam Tyranitar and Choice Banded Avalanche Rhyperior will prove to be road blocks, for Garchomp. Not to mention Dragon Pulse will dent it good, as well.

Good question, because I can. After all, anything that Surf hits has lower SPCL DEF than defense, so my risk of being totally walled has just been lessened. Of course, Pokemon like Rhyperior don't need to worry about that, since his Base ATK is so high it's ridiculous.

Not until I get a good reason; so, for now, they say the way they are.

He's a Bulky Water, not a Physical Sweeper. Why do you think I have Rhyperior? :-P

So, you're saying that Boah, from the 3rd generation, was a failure?

Also, Tyranitar has good SPCL ATK and ATK ratings to take advantage of such status. Not to mention Life Orb helps live up to that expectation.

No, Sandstorm only boosts Rock's Sp. Defense, nothing else.

What? Swampert is a BULKY WATER, not a physical attacker. If it doesn't have an Impish or Relaxed Nature, it can never do its job of walling Tyranitar/Garchomp/CBMence etc.

Also, Swampert doesn't need any Atk EVs at all. Sp. Atk EVs are needed since it's Sp. Atk stat is lower.

Anyways, Ice Beam over Ice Punch, otherwise Mence's Intimidate screws you up.

Max HP and Defense always on physical walling Gliscor.

Nothing on your team can switch in on Swampert. Or Gyarados for that matter.
