I am about to train a Dragonite to replace my Garchomp(Simply because Dragonite rocks, and I need a Physical Pokemon that can use Fly well). Anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking:

@ Leftovers/Life Orb
Nature: Adamant/Lonely

Fly
Dragon Rush
Dragon Dance
Aqua Tail

Anybody beg to differ? Suggestions definitly welcome.

Lose Fly, cos it just wastes time your opponent can take advantage of.

Earthquake over Aqua Tail, Thunderpunch over Fly.

Standard D/P Dragonite, IIRC, is:

Dragonite @ Life Orb
Lonely/Naughty

Dragon Dance
Outrage
Thunder
[RANDOM PHYSICAL FILLER MOVE]

Outrage, with its buffed up power, is quite deadly on Dragonite because a 120 base power move with STAB and Life Orb bonus from a 134 base attack Pokémon is nothing to sneeze at. (especially after a Dragon Dance or two.)

Uh, tell me something. How is Outrage in any way, shape, or form of any kind, Standard? How is using a 3-turn move so Metagross can set up Agility, is any kind of possible standard? You know nothing about what is standard, and for the last thing, standards aren't necessarily established yet, and if they were, I'd be the one establishing them since I did movesets for most of the Pokemon.

And the kids are loling at Nite w/Thunder in D/P. It was okay to use in Advance, yeah sure, but in D/P, what can it POSSIBLY hit? We have Thunderpunch for a reason, but that's only to kill off Gyarados. Earthquake helps because Rock and Ground Types, not to mention Fire and Poison.

And one other note. If anybody's going to be RETARDED enough to use Outrage, which is a 3 turn move that anything can switch in to, and Dragonite confusing himself, then Dragon rush might as well be used. 100 Power for the sacrifice if an instant enemy set-up? Yeah I hope you're catching on to my point now.

Everyone reccomends that set these days, and when you think about it, it's not as crazy as you think. After a couple of Dragon Dances Dragonite's Attack stat will be absolutely insane, and even if someone switches in a resistant Pokémon Dragonite it will still be a 90 base power move, and with Life Orb, the base power will be around 100. If you ask any good D/P rater, most of them will agree that Outrage is an awesome move on Dragonite. And the thing with Thunder Punch and Earthquake is that things can easily switch in on them. A Ground type stops Thunderpunch and if your opponent predicts an Earthquake, he/she will switch in a Flying type/levitator whereas Outrage will hit anything your opponent switches in, and hard.

Now that you mention it, Thunderpunch does seem better as Thunder on Dragonite so I admit you being right on that, but I'm afraid I disagree with you on Outrage. Also, need I remind you on Dragon Rush's sucky 25% missrate? Also, I would prefer it if you did not call me mentally challenged just because you disagree with me. I thought you'd be mature enough not to resort to completely unnecessary flaming, but I guess not.

*Discreet cough* I thought Thunder was used because Milotic comes with maximal defense nowadays (to account for Life Orbers) and hitting Skarm, both of which being cases where you're exploiting lack of SDef? Could just be me misunderstanding stuff, though. But seriously; Metagross switching into a Life Orbed Outrage is just courting its own deathwish. Two STAB Outrages with that Attack stat is more than old Meta can handle, unless it's so heavily entrenched in Defense that it lacks the attack to dispose of Dragonite before the third one comes along (ensuring the KO). Switching into Life Orb Dragonite's Outrage is about as intelligent as taking CB Slaking's Hyper Beam without some serious defenses - except that you won't get that free turn of recupation. :\

Btw; I hope you all realize that Outrage is 120 power these days? That's some serious hammering, apparently enough to offset the 'stuck on the move' effect. Besides, it's only two or three turns of the move (one of which would have been used anyway); it's not Rollout.

of course we realize that... smarties kun made a notice of it more than once. notice he said that with resistance, the base power would still be 90 and about 100 w/life orb.
