I just got my first packs of FOTB (and I got an Eradicator Epidemic Virus ) today and I saw Tornado, a card that reminded me of Twister.

Twister
Pay 500 Life Points. Destroy 1 face-up Spell or Trap card.

Pros
  • Is a Quick-Play Spell card.

Cons
  • Need to pay 500 Life Points.
  • Limited to destroying face-up Spell or Trap cards.

Tornado
Activate only when there are 3 or more cards in your opponent's Spell & Trap Card Zone. Destroy 1 card in your opponent's Spell & Trap Card Zone.

Pros
  • Is a Quick-Play Spell card.

Cons
  • Requires 3 or more cards in your opponent's Spell & Trap Card Zone to activate.
  • Limited to destroying Spell or Trap cards on your opponent's side of the field.

In my opinion, Tornado is better since most of the time your opponent does have a lot of Spell/Trap cards.

none of the above

-the only card twister can destroy right now is snatch steal and premature burial. Call of the haunted lacks severe speed problem and is not played often anymore (but still a threat, just no longer a staple like snatch steal and ring is). This card is dead card when it's not facing these two cards...

-If your opponent allows you to play tornado, he's already overextending... either he's chain strike, which means everything will chain to the quickplay anyway, or he's a noob and is over extending way too badly... the only exception to this is sometimes for Demise and having tons of negation to ensure that ARA goes through without problems, and stopping the traps against the summoning of Demise, especially torrental tribute.

I'll say, use trap dustshoot as the trap of choice :x with perfect circle drawing like crazy, it's not hard to kick it off at all.

I don't see that option. :P

All you have to do is say which you'd rather use. >_<

That is all I saw in your post. YOU LUCKY LITTLE...!!!!

I'd rather run Tornado. Like Frostweaver pointed out, there isn't much that Twister would go against, other than Decree, Snatch Steal, & the revivers...and Tornado can be a bit of anti-Chain Strike if set and activated in your opponent's End Phase...not to mention that it isn't too hard to get 3 S/T in a turn (Mirror Force, Ring, Snatch Steal, etc).

Gee... they're releasing structure deck cards as part of secret rares again? x___x

Crystal Beasts are vulnerable to either one, since they're all face-up spell cards. If we're picking on Crystal Beasts alone, Twister is the superior choice as it works when there's just one, even. However, I honestly have not seen Crystal decks in action yet to know (not to mention, overall unfamiliar with the new cards)
