Breakfast was nasty...stale lucky charms :P

Just as a side note, has anyone ever put soda on their cereal instead of milk? I did that once...I had this sudden urge to put Mt. Dew on my Froot Loops one day when I was having lunch with friends at a buffet in a college we were visiting...of course I got strange looks from people when I took a bowl of Froot Loops over to the soda dispenser instead of the milk dispenser...some jerk even told me "If the place blows up, I'll know who did it..." But I did it anyway...it was actually pretty good...I normally hate Froot Loops but when they're mixed with Mt. Dew they're pretty good...but more specifically the Mt. Dew infused with the Froot Loop flavor...the Froot Loops infused with the Mt. Dew tasted a bit strange...but I still drank the Mt. Dew out of the bowl...next I think I'll try Golden Grahms with Pepsi or Cookie Crisp with Code Red or something...they might actually be good o_O (and if they are, I have first dibs on the patent rights to cinnamon pepsi :P )

No more soda talk. There's only some much soda in the world to chat about, and I think we covered'em. Let's talk about... chemistry?

Ok...random topics are always fun :P

I have to take chemistry next year, but the one thing I'm worried about is that the 20-year veteran chemistry teacher of our school is retiring this year and he's probably going to be replaced with come fresh-out-of-college n00b teacher who can't teach us a thing -_-;;

Chemistry's actually really fun. I liked it a heck of a lot better than Biology...maybe it's because I hated that teacher and she never taught us anything. But, I had a guy that is in his mid-20s that taught my class Chemistry and he makes it so easy to understand. He gave tons of notes, but in between, the talkers would crack jokes or say something funny. ^_^ He's a great teacher. The only lab I liked, though, was making rock candy...I didn't eat it simply because you wouldn't know if someone from a different class spit in it or whatnot...^_^;; He did a really cool demo using just soap and water. He used the gas jet to funnel bubbles up through the soap and water in the funnel and then he'd wet his entire arm under the faucet, grab a handful of soap bubbles and lit a match on it. Then the fire just sort of wafted up through the air and it looked so cool. He didn't burn himself or anything. Of course, you'd probably have to be there to know what I'm talking about but it was a nice experiment.

Chemistry? I have to take that next year too. I had to take a half-year intro to it last year and it was really hard. But I do understand it now though. So next year I'll be have the advantage of already knowing a lot about it and I won't have to work as hard. At least for part of the year. But last year I thought it was really hard... but it was a lot easier than the first half of last year when we did physics. I hated physics... that was hard! I'm really dreading having to take that senior year. I'll have the same teacher I did last year. Oh well... I just hope chemistry will be easier for me having already kinda taken a little of it already. The class I'm most worried about next year is honors pre-calc though...

i'm taking chemistry right now! next period actually... if any of you have the choice, avoid it. it's fully lame and totaly useless unless you intend to do some nutty career that involves this trash. it's really boring, and it doesn't make much sense. and it's not like it's something that you need in daily life. *so uncool*

They force you to take Physics your senior year? At my school we offer a Physics course for seniors but it's elective...and only 4 people take it a year because it's famed for its difficulty...take it and you can kiss any hope of a 4.0 goodbye. I'll never take it, I've decided my senior year's going to be easy...just AP English 12, Spanish IV, and gym...easy :P

Oh, and we do scheduling tomorrow...I got a sneak peek at the master schedule and I think this is what I'm going to have:

1st P: Spanish III
2nd P: Pre-Calculus
3rd P: English 11 Honors
4th P: Chemistry
5th P: American Government
6th P: Creative Writing
7th P: Drama 1st sem, study hall or public speech 2nd sem.

It's going to be a hard but fun year...^^;;

Well no, we're not forced to take it... but it seems to be the most common choice. You can choose whatever science you want... I heard botany is an easy class though. I might just not take science my senior year. Since I've already had a little taste of physics and all... and I hated it and failed almost every test in that class. We have to take at least 5 classes a year or something though...

I don't know my schedule but I do know what classes I'm taking next year.
English 11 level 1
Spanish 4 level Honors
American History Level 1
Pre-Calc Level Honors
Phys Ed.
Chemistry Level 1
Treble Choir

There's no room in it for anything else so I'm kinda stuck with my schedule the way it is. There's no room for any more electives since Treble Choir and Spanish count as electives....

Botany does sound pretty easy...if I could get a credit for taking care of plants all year I almost think I would. But then again, it is a branch of biology, and I despise biology...I'm definitely not taking any science my senior year, it's not my fort. We don't have many science options at school...my only other options for next year were non-college prep classes: Science & Technology or Earth Science (which I took my freshman year when it was CP)...Chemistry sounds mightily boring, but at least I'll learn something I guess =/

We have a lot of options for science I think. But you can only choose a course your junior and senior years. But most people take chemistry junior year so I am. Even though I hated it. Botany does seem easy but there is a reason I don't want to take it. I work with plants all afternoon and hate it! There is no way I want to take a course in school about plants. I'm sick of 'em!

I could have taken earth science last year. Most people did take it as a freshman. But 8th grade science was way to easy for me... my average at one point was above 100. And I had taken algebra I in 8th grade too so I was put in the honors course (ICP... intro to chem and physics) Most everyone else took earth science though...

Earth Science was really boring when I took it...not only is geology absolutely uninteresting, but our teacher was a retired colonel who talked about his time in Nam half of the time...I aced the class without even trying, he was so kind that he couldn't stand to give people grades less than A :P
