I'm up to Dialga finally! But should I use the Master Ball or try to catch him manualy?

Poke Balls = 7
Great Balls = 8
Ultra Balls = 17
Master Balls = 1

These are the Poke Balls I have right now. Should I use the Master?

Rosilia Lv40 - Use to parylz Dialga. And yes it does survive.
Bronzong Lv41 - Use to Confuse him and Keep the flow of Poke Balls going.
Empoleon Lv44 - Use to hit heavy Damage on him and drain health.
Staraptor Lv 39 - Yes he does do massive damage. He knocked him out in one hit but luckily I saved before battling. ;D

Got any Ideas? Master Ball or Manualy? Kill him and get him from my friend maybe? But he probably won't trade it. :P

I think you should have brought more Ultra balls, Lol I caught mine with a Dusk Ball at 3:16 AM I think it was lol. You shouldn't waste your Master Ball here, but If you use up all of your other balls, then dont kill it. Thats just my 2 cents though.

he really isn't worth the master ball, you might be able to catch him using the other types of pokeballs you have, if not you can always save right before battling it and if those pokeballs don't work, restart it and try again. When i was trying to catch regiice on my sapphire version the 1st time I tried I kept throwing ultra balls at it and it wouldnt get caught! but then i turned off my gameboy and retried and caught it fairly quickly!

Nah, save the Master Ball for Mesprit. Dialga/Palkia are very, very easily caught with Ultra or Dusk Balls. I only used one Ultra Ball to catch Palkia after whittling his health to a sliver, no status conditions needed.

I will only battle under the following rules: no ubers/legendaries, item clause, no OHKO, no hacked anything. Sinnoh Dex-only teams are preferred, but not necessary.

Yeah, I agree, you should save it for the Runners or for (if ever) the event Pokemon. I caught my Dialga in a Great Ball as well. I caught all my Legendaries, and without the Master Ball.
You have to actually catch the event Pokémon ?

Caught on Second Ultra Ball :p. Unfortunatly here in Australia with all the little bouncing Kangaroos and what not there aren't any Event Pokemon. Everyone just goes "AWSOME!" over a Groudon on Ruby Version or a LV100. I don't though... I heard you can use Mystery Gift to get the events with WFC though.

Not always. It depends on the event that you're going to. Some events just hand you the Pokemon straight away, some... force you into a story like the Darkrai one and then you have to catch them. But Darkrai can also be given straight out now...

Well at least Aus has more Pokemon based things, like tournaments, than NZ ever will...

Mystery Gift is Local Wireless Events I believe... not 100% certain on that though.

I didn't paralize the dialga, I just chucked a quick ball at it, then after that didn't work, I almost destroyed it with my pokemon, then chucked Ultra Balls, Great Balls, Timer Balls, Dusk Balls, and even a few Poke Balls. Eventually I caught it with a Dusk Ball. I'm planning on only using the Master Ball if Mesprit is to much of a bother. In my opinion, Azelf and Uxie are a lot harder to catch than Dialga.

I suggest saving it for two reasons.

1. Most people end up not using Dialga/Palkia after the elite four and if you are planning on battling people over wifi, most people will not let you use them.

2. Unlike other games, Diamond and Pearl have many more legendaries to catch past the elite four and past Dialga/Palkia, some of which will run away from you (Mespirt, Cressilia).
