I was wondering, if you evolve a pokemon (Take Horsea for example) is their a possibility of the Seadra being shiny? Or is it just that you find them shiny in the wild or what...

As I know, many people will say this is a noobish question, but I just need to know. Thanks!

No, evolving a Pokemon does not change it to be shiny. It's shiny-ness is determined from the moment when you see it.

Thanks Flavaquil, I was wondering because of how some people say they have a shiny gengar or a shiny alakazam, and how would that be possible without cheating if its from the moment they saw it?

Thanks again~:)

No... you can get them if you have a shiny Abra or Gastly and evolve them. The evolved Pokemon remain in the shiny or non-shiny state.

Thanks again Flavaquil, I thought if you evolved them that if they were shiny they would go back to normal...well thanks for clearing things up for me!:D

I guess I should have made it clearer when I first said it, sorry about that.

Shiny always will evolve into shiny.
Normal will always remain normal, even through evolution.
