Hey, I found this on ETC thought I would post it here...

You can still put them on the GTS, however, people will not able to trade for them or see them. There are a few that you can still see, however, these were put up before the ban.

When trying to trade a Legendary for another Pokemon, you will get a message saying the Pokemon cannot be traded.

Thoughts on this? I think it was uncalled for and am very surprised.

That is great news it looks like they are trying to do the same sort of thing with pokemon battle revolution. I for one think its a great atempt to make the good even better.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure that if we get rid of the Legendaries from the GTS, we will also be able to clone much easier XD. That way, we will have boxes of Legendaries for trade. Thus, everyone trading shiny for legendaries, decreasing the value of Legendary pokemon, and shiny... The only thing that will probably stay Very Valuable are Legit Event Pokemon, in SHINY.

But then again... They might not be, as some shiny pokemon just look pure fugly.

I think it's lame that they had to do it. I can accept that they did it, but I wish some people would learn that no one is going to give them a dialga for their bidoof, and that no one wants to have a hacked pokedemon.

maybe to stop ppl cloning or possible gameshark abuse and legendaries are a prime target for this.

When did this ban take effect and are all legendaries affected or just some?

Also, while this stops hacking, we can still trade with people thanks to forums like this one

i think its lame that you immidiatly think of how to abuse this for safer cloning, and then reflect on how it MUST kill the shinys and legendary's rarity. stop cloning ffs. its clearly not helping. if an ex game-hacker can accpet this, why cant an apparently cheat free forum do the same? =(

I think it is good, I got an illegit celebi through the GTS, if I can't have a legit one then I don't want one at all

I personally don't like it at all. Because some of the Pokemon being sent up ARE legit. What they should've done, IMO, is have GTS check the location while you throw it up on GTS. So you can tell if it's legit or not.

the GTS should be able to tell whether a pokemon is legit and just not allow illegit ones to be traded

sadly, it's not that easy..

And location check would be lame because that would allow hackers from only certain parts of the world.. @[email protected]

I think they should just work on some form of ID check..

Ehh, that might not be too good of an idea, since they can probably do something with IDs. Though, the obvious ones, like 00001, shouldn't be allowed (My friends Arceus is like that).

yea, but eliminating those obvious ID's would cut off so many hackers..

You see.. In every game there's the noob hackers (billions) who get caught easily, and the good hackers that get everywhere.. You can't do much against those except for ID checks and capture location checks.. (your mew was caught on route 213? BAN)

well yes, that would cut about 90% of all tradehackers. i assume all of them are little kids using CirosMAKER. (badly too, id 00000 and such)

But don't all imported Pokemon (God that sounded wrong) just say Hoenn (or Kanto), arrived at Level (insert level here)?

Surely a location check wouldn't work, and then there are clones, clones wouldn't have any of that stuff

Yeah. i'm saying we can stop making it worse, if even slighly by not cloning, or at least only do it for trades with friends who wont clone it. BUT now some people will never be able to finish a pokedex without spending another 30-60dollars (1 or 2 gba games)

Honestly, I think it's retarded. Banning event Pokemon, sure, that'd be understandable. But all of them? That's stupid. Furreal.

Looks like Serebii's Wi-Fi board is going to be overloaded with legendary requests... :xxxx

You won't be able to see them on the GTS when you search for them, and the ones that you are able to see you can't offer for them because it says, "This POkemon cannot be offered for trade" or some variation of thato
