I don't believe in things like that ~

We do have special talents and skills, but no special abilities ~

Although, example, people with certain disabilities enhance in another area to make up for the loss. That I believe in. Otherwise, no ~

Evolution IS happening. However, it is quite hard to notice as the changes are very slow and don't happen very often. Evolution takes place when a species needs their body to be altered to continue to survive. However, it may take many generations for this neeeded change to be fully executed. For example, humans ourselves have evolved. In the primitive days, "cavemen" were shorter than people are today; they also had thicker skulls and smaller brains. After time, humans have grown (literally), less thick skulls providing more room for the brain, thus we are more intelligent and more capable.

Mutants though? No. I don't think any animal needs a change to their body where they become monsters. x:

And as a side note, another thing I have noticed myself to be (a small) difference to be bewteen humans now (possibly due to more evolution), is a somewhat larger second toe that is longer than my big toe. I asked my friends and family about this and I found out that my brother, my dad, my friend, my friend's sister and my friend's father also have the samething with their second toes'. The similarity between us that isn't as shown in other people (such as my sister and mother), we are more anturally intelligent. My friend and I ace classes (if we ever have motivation, which I only did in the second semester, thus getting an 85 average), my brother is quite smart on a lot of subjects, but he has no motivation which has really screwed him over, my dad is fairly intelligent, my friend's sister is very inetlligent and also avereaged an 90 throughout her whole high school career and my friend's father is also very intelligent. My mother and sister? Not quite as much. My sister is more successful because she actually tries in school and stuff. So, yes, thats MY opinion. I could be wrong... but who knows, eh? ;P

Haha, I didn't take bio in school, so I can't say with certainty that I'm right, but species are always evolving and adapting to their situations. Biologically, I'm sure there are plenty of people who have mutated--to some tiny extent, probably not even physically noticeable--in order to advance. Just because we can't see it happening, or that it's not something life-changing like being able to fly, doesn't mean it's not happening.

Um, bottom line is, I believe in current evolution, even if I can't explain it for the life of me. But I don't believe in the stereotypical super abilities people associate with adapting through evolution. :|

Firstly, evolution is happening, ITS A SCIENTIFIC FACT. There is so much proof that shows us this, similar bone structures between birds and mammals, similar genes, the evolution of resistant bacteria, darwins finches, the development of reptiles to birds. Basically I could go on for ages that prove so.

Also Mutations happen, causing mutants. This is how evolution occurs, mutations in genes cause advantagous traits which are passed on causing selection, adaptation and evolution.

From Wikipedia:
Evolution is the change in the inherited traits of a population from generation to generation. These traits are the expression of genes that are copied and passed on to offspring during reproduction. Mutations in these genes can produce new or altered traits, resulting in heritable differences (genetic variation) between organisms. New traits can also come from transfer of genes between populations, as in migration, or between species, in horizontal gene transfer. Evolution occurs when these heritable differences become more common or rare in a population, either non-randomly through natural selection or randomly through genetic drift.
On the other hand, mutations getting super human powers, is a bit too extreme. Been watching Heroes I bet :P

Also anyone, who thinks creationism is correct...urgh..
