I was just battling somone, and the pokemon I had out was faster than there's, I know this because on the first move (I used Stealth Rock) I went first. Then their pokemon used a super effective move and brought me into low yellow. The next move, their pokemon went first using the same move, which made my pokemon faint. There was no weather or effect in play, so my conclusion is that a pokemon's speed is reduced when their HP is low. Tell me what you think.

No the pokemon was the same both turns. This could just be a chance that they went first, however.

It could also be that both pokemon had the same exact speed unlikely but possible.

Logically when something is tired it'd be ideal that they were slower, but I don't know.

speed isnt affected by health, we would have heard about it before now... A likely thing that happened was the other pokemon was holding a quick claw...

While that could be possible I highly doubt it, seeing as they were two different pokemon.

No, the pokemon was not holding a quick claw. If it was, it did not activate that turn.

Yea I think it may just be something in game that varies, I can't be too sure.

As stated above, the pokemon was not holding a quick claw. If it was, it did not activate that turn.

Give us some names of the Pokemon, then we could actually help you out...

I'd say same speed or quick claw, but you said he wasn't holding one... I never knew Quick Claw to ever have the game tell you it's being activated... I saw it in Battle Revolution but that's it.

Super Déjà Vu: I remember this question and most of these answers. Maybe I just dreamed about it.

Well, whenever Pokémon toggle between being first and seconds during turns, it means they have the same speed, there's nothing abnormal here.

Well you know it activates when a circle of light appears around the pokemon and then it goes first. The light is the same thing that appears when any item is activated, like leftovers.

I guess you are right. I am starting to believe that as well, but our pokemons' speeds were close but not identical.

im with hikariburakkii on this DEJA VUUUU lol
maybe the other pokemon had an ability that raises its speed after a turn.
anyhow, a pokemon suddenly doesnt go faster for no reason. So if you give the items held, pokemon, moves used, speed stats, and pokemon ability.. your queiry will be answered :D
