Hello, as you can see I am the glorious Plateface.

It has come to my attention that seeing a thread titled "Doh" was locked and the user was permabanned for the reason the topic title is purely because the assistant administrator called it a "random poll".

Topic in question: http://www.pkmncommunity.com/showthread.php?t=97117&highlight=Doh

Now my question topic is not in relation to the author of the topic in question and by no means am motivated by getting him banned, however this has got me thinking in a rather political manner.

I have read, re-read and read again the rules. I fail to see why Krafty Quill was banned for purely having a bit of a laugh. Is this how the Pokémon Community reacts to topics that are played with slight contestable humour?

Isn't anyone allowed to have a bit of a giggle at poo jokes? Or was the Assistant Administrator in a bad mood? Hmm, if not then why can't we have a bit of a giggle at poo jokes? Most of us find them funny, just like the next man who finds hobo jokes funny. Surely they're not appreciated by overprotective parents of 5 year old children (purely because they're either Mormons or strange) but the thing is, everyone on these forums are older than 5, most are older than 10 and a truckload of them are older than 15. I understand that the Pokémon Community aims at a very young audience, but how young? The system presented by the multiple bannings make it out that members can't have debates, or arguements concerning a subject! Now I'd rather not be insulted and be told "You can't have intelligent debates because people will see ANGRY MODE!!"

I would approach this matter of maturity via private message, but I don't seem to get a response from Sync who could possibly be able to answer my concerns easily, but ignoring important things that I believe necessary to be discussed is rather rude because isn't a community supposed to value its members? Hmm, strange!

Yes I have been banned in the past, and I do believe that the one responsible was just doing their job, and such, but no assistance with responding to my enquiry WHY I was banned? I mean come on, what is this? Ban and ignore and flex your INTERNETS POWER?

This communication with Admins with Banned Users should be taken seriously, because MANY banned users have no idea why they were banned in the first place and this lack of communication is pretty poor because this can help the banned user become a BETTER one!

I have read the rules, (aha as aforementioned) http://www.pkmncommunity.com/showthread.php?t=91723

And I am not breaking any rules regarding the enquiry of why users are being treated as little squirming ants.

Thank you for reading and I do hope I get a pleasing message because I have grown to love this community and I hope I am treated with the same respect as I give to everyone on these boards.

Whether you want to "have a laugh" or not, if you spam the forum, you'll cash in a Warning.
If enough Warnings gather on your account, you'll get banned. Simple as that.

Once you are banned, you have the possiblity to contact the staff using the contact link at the bottom of the forum.
If you file a valid concern, you will receive an answer from us.

On your case, a reason was mentioned when you received the Warnings. Either via PM, or in the thread.
Then the reason was mentioned again when you were banned. But due to your evasion attempts with many other accounts, your banning time had to be upped, which resulted in overwriting of the original banning reason.
And that's pretty much your own fault. You were informed of the reasons.

However, I am going to close this here, since this is conerning your banning, and does not need to be discussed publicly.
If you have further questions involving it, feel free to PM me or any other staff member.
