There are a few members who are getting on my last nerves with their overall rude attitude. They speak as if others are dumb, and talk (or type) with an insulting attitude. Am I able to report them? I didn't come to this thread to be insulted by anyone.

There's a little button in the top right hand corner of each post marked "Report Post".
Click that and submit your report.
Just make sure they are flaming someone or breaking a rule before you do that.
I know that some members are rude. I wont name any names but I agree that PC would be a much better place If those people werent so rude.
But, a word of warning: If you are rude to others dont expect them to be nice to you.

I figured I could report, but I didn't wanna hit the button to report unless I knew I wasn't breaking a rule. I think it is against the rule to report someone that didn't deserve it. I wasn't sure rudeness was a good enough reason. There is a particular person I am talking about. I don't know what his problem is, but he is just plain rude.

Here is the thread
http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=92570&page=14

I won't name names, but if you have a look, you wil see who I am talking about. I don't care if they are not nice people, that is no excuse for rudeness.

There's nothing wrong with reporting if you think something is wrong. Plus, there's a "respect" rule here, so I would see excessive rudeness as a reason to report. :)

Rather, try to find out why they were being rude. Talk to them in an amiable tone. Bad day, perhaps? If they persist, then that's the time to report. I know I've made snippy posts in the past when I didn't mean to, and promptly apologized the day after.

Show respect gain respect ma dear boy!
Thats the problem. I never instigated anything to get disrespected.

Lily, I would normally agree, except this guy has a history of being arrogant. He also tends to SPAM a thread when he disagrees with it. So I canmt chalk it up to a bad day. I didn't make his day bad.

And Stardust, I kinda feel the same way. But I won't hesitate to report if they are wrong. If he gets away with it, he'll continue to do it.

I wasn't talking about you at all. So what you're saying is that they are allowed to be rude? I don't care if they had a bad day. Thats not my concern. And I can do something about it. I can report them.

This is a place of respect. Everybody can't go off on each other when they please, or there will be spam everywhere. It's not whining when people are acting like jerks; it's taking care of the situation. Maybe you find that behavior exceptable-you can take it lying down, but I won't.

If that's the case, I would curse out every member that got on my nerves, or a member I dislike. But that wouldn't be fair, now would it? If I can't do that, no one else has the right to be rude "because they like to" on an active forum with over 1000 members. They need to be in solitude since they can't interact reasonably with other people. And if they target me, that is a good reason to report-that I would consider flamming, since they are "targeting" me specifically.

If you felt I was talking about you, then you were probably being rude to someone yourself. I don't know. But I wasn't talking about you; you weren't rude to me.

(Was this thread directed torwards me?)

Well, now I think rude people will target you MORE because you whine about it. It's pretty much their problem. Perhaps they've had a bad day or like being rude on the internet. You really can't do anything about it, can you?
Having a touch of guilt now are we?

Seriosly, I agree with sims. It's not right to take out your displeasures on others. It's especially wrong to do so on someone who had said nothing to piss you off. The reason I have to keep my mouth shut most of the time is because of the rude people. I tend to be a bit hotheaded sometimes and I have to be careful of what I say. It's really quite annoying having to keep myself in check. Nothing pisses me off more than seeing someone being rude to sombody for no good reason at all. It's a different story if they are rude to you. But even then you shouldnt rise and return the favor. That only leads to flame wars and such.
I'm not trying to be rude but, jumping to the conclusion that he was accusing you of being rude when he didnt even mention your name and getting mad about it wasnt wise. That's just rude to be honest.

In my opinion he has a right to complain about it. No one should target him or anyone else for that matter. Like I said before. It's not right to be rude to others.

I admit, I had my fair share of rudeness too. We all have, we're only human. But I promtly apologies. I am especially mean in retaliation to rudeness, but being mean is not me. I just gotta at least try to make ammends. But once a person will not dessist, I will report jn the spot without second thought-before my better nature makes me change my mind. I can be VEERY spiteful to mean people.

You really can't do anything about it, can you?
No, but the staff can. ;D

Anyways, in all seriousness:

Whether or not it's the problem of the people being rude, at the same time it's also those same peoples' responsibility to accept the consequences of their actions should they choose to unleash their rudeness on others. Whether or not a person's had the worst day in the world is no excuse to belittle or harrass other members; personally, I feel that if you're too angry or upset to say anything without being rude to people, then it's better to just back away for a bit until you're calm enough to write a decent reply. At least, that's worked wonders for me so far.

Of course, if people are being rude just to troll others and get a reaction...well, shame on them, that's all I can say. There's really no excuse for that.

Now, in regards to "whining" - people here always have a few options, if they feel they can't try reasoning with the other person. They can take their "whining" to the people who need to hear about it, they can retaliate back in kind, or they can ignore it. I'd rather have the so-called "whining" out of those three, since retaliating just tends to make things a bigger mess than they already are, and keeping quiet won't do anything to fix the offending person's behavior.

There. I just reported the person who is constantly rude. I don't know what his problem is, but it seems he can't handle a debate without insulting people when people doesn't agree with him. It

It is on the Battle Revolution forum, under the thread "Bad graphics, bad construction, bad game?
