Well, I was thinking somthing about somthing like this:
Magic Coat
Ingrain
Barrier
Energyball

Since my team has a lack of grass, I decided on energyball. I have heard Toxic and recover should be on there, but I have a ninjask baton passing this thing speed, so i dont know really how to work with it, I still want it to be a wall, so im not gonna give it 4 pyshical or special attacks. Thx in advance

Ingrain I don't think is very good for healing. Is there a way to make it heal more than usual? Other than that, I think it's good. Recover would be better than that, but I've seen your other posts and you're having trouble just getting Magic Coat on it.

Cradily @ Leftovers/Lum Berry
Relaxed Nature
Ability: Suction Cups
252 HP/196 DEF/60 SP DEF
-Energy Ball
-Rock Slide
-Swords Dance
-Recover

the perfect thing about it is that it can't be forced to switch out and that it has STAB on rock, which is a type that hits everything. its major, and perhaps only, threats are Lucario and flinchhaxing Togekiss.

Rock doesn't hit Steel, which a poke with only Grass & Rock moves will have a hard time with. It also can't hurt ground, but who cares about that, when you have Energy Ball.

it doesn't hurt steel, i know that, but with 3 swords dances, vs anything, it's going to do considerable damage. what i meant when i said it hits everything is that nothing completely resists it.

Well, this has also come to my attention, using egg moves there is no way to get Majic coat and barrier in the same set. I can get recover and magic coat though...

metagross, garchomp, heracross, gallade say hello to cradily and proceed their annihilation of the team. energy ball and rockslide don't hit any of the best physical sweepers in the game hard. using cradily is like asking for a major beating. i covered this in vainz' best team thread and I'm surprised to see someone bring him up again. cradily fails miserably, simple as that.

cradily doesn't fail lol. sure, he's weak to bug, rock, fighting and ice, but it still takes hits. no one said it was a complete physical or special wall. but if the time comes it that cradily needs to take a hit and deliver an attack against something that would otherwise own the rest of your team, then it does it well.

you can dwell on its weaknesses, or you can optimize its ability to perform in-battle. i prefer to do the second.

And thanks to sandstorm, Cradily could work as a decent Sp. Wall, and with Tyranitar's Sandstream, the two can work together by walling and hitting, I support Cradily as a wall.

Ingrain should be used on one Pokemon, Smeargle. A BPing Smeargle needs Ingrain to not get Phazed, and that would be the only reason to use Ingrain.

I actually Samson's set best.

Cradily is a magnificent special wall. I use togekiss and maxed out his HP, but I still hate bolt-beam weaknesses..Thats why I have cradily as a sub.

well, the fact is it hardly has anything to offer. when can it take hits for you anyway? last i check most OU sweepers own it in every way, it's not even funny.

if anyone could maximize a UU pokemon's abilities, it's you, but quite frankly with cradily, it just can't do much. the set you gave with sword dance and rock slide isn't scaring anyone either.

exactly, it doesn't scare anyone, when in reality, after 3 swords dances on a follow up with several recoveries, it makes a fool of both skarmory and blissey. if it can do that alone, it is well worth the consideration.

how does it get 3 sword dances up? i mean with its slow speed and major weaknesses, all these physical sweepers like metagross, garchomp, electivire can all switch in on it any time and take out cradily before it even has a chance. if cradily even manages to get a rockslide off(sword dance or not) it'll hardly put a dent on those guys.

I personally agree with samson, you don't play a game just to get all the best pkmn on your team and try to win, you try to have fun while winning, besides, i had Probopass at the special wall position before, it wasn't pretty. Well, after a ton of breeding i finally got a bold, or a calm lileep with Magic coat and recover, is there a set that can incorperate these 2 moves, or should i stick with Barrier/Physical Cradilly?

Thats why you have 5 other pokemon on your team, plus im passing with a ninjask, so with that attack comes speed, most OU sweepers get killed in one hit when you try to pass to them

give me a scenario where cradily can be useful? come on, give me any scenario. fact is it's not useful at all. is it going to be able to switch in on alakazam, starmie and gengar dishing out psychic, surf and ice beam and the like? No, because it's going to take major damage on the switch in. Is it going to be able to switch in to stop metagross, garchomp, electivire from wrecking havoc? Again, no. So really, just what kind of crappy wall is it? And even if it switches in, it has to sword dance up in order to even have a chance to do any sort of damage, all the time being major weak to the most common sweepers in the game. How much does a sword dance rockslide do on a metagross anyway? that's assuming metagross didn't already KO you with meteor mash the turn you sword dance up.

Oh, come on now. If he likes Cradily, he has to MAKE it useful. People said my Noctowl is useless, Skarmory does his job better. But I don't want Skarmory, I want Noctowl. So I must find a way to use it.

actually, at least noctowl can take hits and does have hypnosis. I'm all for using UU's and I enjoy the fact my favorite pokemon venasaur is UU but cradily seriously has no use. You'll have a hard time making it useful that's for sure because it's going to drag the entire team down. i feel i've stated everything i can possibly say about cradily and if people just read my posts(both in this thread and in vainz' thread) and think for a bit, they should all see why cradily fails.

as i said c_dog, it's purpose is to take hits later on in the battle and deliver finishing blows.

you don't bring it out in the beginning of the battle where, as you mentioned, sweepers will make several blows on it. you use it to take in a hit, scare the occasional swampert/donphan/rhyperior etc away, and save it for when a pesky blissey or skarmory is all that's left on the opposing team.

it is basically a wall bully.

if anyone is going to carry around a cradily because they're hoping it can finish pesky skarmory, i'd suggest they carry a magneton instead. save a lot of trouble and you don't have to save it for last.

you know what, i see what you mean, but it's going to be pretty tough to save him for last. i mean you're pretty much playing 5 on 6 then if you're trying to save him for last and unless you have some really good counters, it's going to be tough to take down all those sweepers. In the rare case that blissey has icebeam, it falls to blissey too.

and swampert, rhyperior and donphan arent as OU as metagross, garchomp, and electivire. if cardily already takes a stab earthquake from donphan on the switch in, i like donphan chances of finishing off also since cradily is so slow. swampert is also faster and can just as easily KO cradily if it already received damage switching in.
