Your poll is flawed, you forgot Chimchar.
If I heard it correctly, he wants to know the favorite fire starter available in fire red (the 3 first gens). I will pick cyndaquil.

Charizard and Typhlosion are special sweepers, while Blaziken and Infernape are physical sweepers. Charizard has the better moveset, making Typhlosion useless except for the fact that Charizard has a 4x Rock weakness while Typhlosion's is only 2x. Blaziken's stronger than Infernape, but Infernape is faster and could also be utilized as a special sweeper depending on how you train it. Again, it's all up to preference. I don't like any of them, but I have to hand it to Infernape for its versatility.

Why would you not include all starters?

Charmander > Charmeleon > Charizard.
Fire to Fire/Flying. 3 weaknesses and 5 resistances to 3 weakness, 5 resistances and 1 immunity. i like...
Decent Speed and Sp. Atk and well-rounded other stats...but if fast enough and powerful enough, its kinda low defense won't be such a problem.

Cyndaquil > Quilava > Typhlosion.
Fire. 3 weaknesses and 5 resistances. cool...
Pretty much the same stats as Charizard...

Torchic > Combusken > Blaziken.
Fire to Fire/Fighting. 3 weaknesses and 5 resistances to 4 weakness, 6 resistances. ok...
Superior Attack and Sp. Atk. Horrible Defense, and average speed. Needs 2 be faster...

Chimchar > Monferno > Infernape.
Fire to Fire/Fighting. 3 weaknesses and 5 resistances to 4 weakness, 6 resistances. ok...
Decent Attack, Sp. Atk, and Speed. Slightly better Defense and Sp. Def than Blaziken but lower HP. Great if it's fast and powerful enough to make defense less of an issue.

I go w/ Charmander. Charmander and Cyndaquil are like the same, but Charizard has the immunity to Ground and Typhlosion does not. Infernape comes in at 3rd because of its speed and attack, but low hp makes it hard when dealing w/ night shade, seismic toss, dragon rage, and sonicboom. Blaziken just sucks when it comes to everything but attack power.
Where we're going, we don't need signatures...

Charmander and Cyndaquil are pretty close on my list, but Charmander's always been my top favourite. I admit it does learn slightly better moves than Cyndaquil, especially in the advance generation games. It's mostly personal preference, though - it's been my favourite ever since the Kanto anime series.
Charmander and Cyndaquil's base stats are pretty much dead on with each other, which is why, in the fan game I am making, I edited Cyndaquil's base stats and those of its evolutions. I always found it kind of odd how they gave these two evolutionary lines the same base stats. o.o

Oh, and Torchic? I like Torchic, but it hasn't grown on me as much as the other two fire-type starters have. Yet.

Charizard and Typhlosion are similar in stats, but Charizard has the more diverse movepool.

I'd pick Torchic. I've had a pretty hard time to decide, in either way all three the starters' final form are unbelievable strong.. But still ^__________^
I'd would pick Torchic <3.

Cyndaquil, I'll aways go with him. Even though I think that Charizard's and Blaziken's double types are more handy and stronger, I've develloped a special love for Cyndaquil (and for his evo Typhlosion). Since the Johto days I've chosen Cyndaquil. Typhlosion's Flame Wheel is my favourite move, and it's one of the strongest pure-fire Pokemon out there. =O
