I can't help you there. Look at the gym leaders, and act accordingly.

No I don't really care to know what a good team is but rather what pokemon I can find around the first beginning towns before Gym training I just bought this game yesturday so yea..I like training ALOT before I actually start my gym battling like I could actually sit down for 2-3hours training my pokemon in the grass if I so had to but I really want to know what pokemon I can find in the beginning.

starly's a pretty good pokemon. it has good attack and speed and has one of the best abilities in intimidate.

also budew/roselia is really good too. awesome special attack stat when they evolve to roselia. only down side is they dont learn sleep powder but the inaccurate grass whistle(not suggested for competitive battling but for in game for catching abra's who tend to flee and legendaries and the like. gible/garchomp is really good later in the game also. there's also lucario, gyaradros, mismaguis, gengar, alakazam, heracross, snorlax who are all really good.

oh and of course blissey.

yes, the beginning! these are all pokemon you can catch early in the game. starly and budew of course. magikarp/gyarados can be caught once you have a rod. chansey roams around the grass and you also get a happiny egg. you also get a lucario egg midway through the game, and gible is later but you should have a spot for him. heracross can be caught as soon as you have honey(somewhere around the 2nd badge). munchlax/snorlax are harder to find but if you're lucky you'll find them soon too. mismaguis, gengar are both around the forest at night(gengar/gastly's in a mansion, and later on in the ghost tower). abra's also around really early in the game. so yes, all the pokemon i listed are all really good and available really early in the game if you know where to find them.

oh, machamp, medicham are really good too of course.

oh, and i can't believe i forgot about zubat/crobat. and bronzhong... seriously, there are too many X_X

Gyarados-Super Rod. I advise you to catch a Magikarp.

To get the super rod, you need to beat the game and have the Sinnoh dex completed. So you're gonna have to go with Magikarp and evolve it.

magikarp training is not that bad. worst comes to worst, just put it in day care, run around for a bit(check the poketech on its level) and take it out when it's level 19, and level it up to 20 by yourself. abra is kind of a pain to train as well but they're both really good... but at least with abra it can learn some TM's while magikarp is just useless. but it's the same with milotic/feebas also(would you prefer making pokeblocks i think not!!). you just have to be patient.

Infernape/Staraptor/Gyarados/Luxray

Obviously use their pre-evolved forms for the start, but they're good in game.

I suggest picking types that counter the Elite Four and the champion well.

Bug Person: A Rock and/or Ground type (for Drapion) like Golem, Sudowoodo, or Fire-types like your Infernape (evolved) will KO this team

Rock/Ground Person: Grass and Water-types like Floatzel, Gyrados, Roserade, and such will tear this team up

Fire Person: Ground is good against 3/5 of his team, get a Golem with Brick Break, Rock Slide/Rock Throw/Rollout, Earthquake, Filler will own this team

Psychic guy: Ghost and Dark-types for 4 of them and use your Infernape to rape Bronzong

Champion: Ice and Grass will rape 2/3 of her team, and Infernape for Lucario

Gyrados
Adamant Nature
-Waterfall
-Earthquake
-Ice Fang
-Dragon Dance

Infernape
Rash Nature
-Flamethrower
-Close Combat
-Grass Knot
-Nasty Plot

Golem
Adamant Nature
-Rock Slide
-Earthquake
-Brick Break
-Explosion / Return / Filler

Palkia
Modest Nature
-Surf
-Thunderbolt
-Spacial Rend
-Earth Power / Flamethrower

And..whatever else you want...

Solace Town contains the Daycare.

As for the beginning team, I used Chimchar, Shinx, Starly, Floatzel, Abra, and Geodude. They lasted pretty well up until the 5th Gym where I had to train several different Pokemon to survive against the Gym Leaders with under leveled Pokemon.

soleceon city is not that far.. i think it's sometime around the 3rd or 4th badge or something like that. you should just focus on chimchar who can take care of everything by himself anyway, and just be patient with magikarp. you'll get to the day care soon enough.

you can start training pokemon like abra, budew/roselia, starly(though kind of pointless if you already have gyarados), geodude, bronzong, zubat, etc.

Yes, well, I usually just go through the E4 with it in my Diamond (traded over) with an Exp. Share on it, but then again you get Palkia later...Well, there are some other choices to fill up that slot and the last one.

Staraptor
Adamant Nature
-Wing Attack
-Close Combat
-Steel Wing
-Quick Attack / Return

Luxray
Adamant Nature
-Spark
-Crunch
-Fire Fang / Ice Fang / Quick Attack / Return
-Fire Fang / Howl / Ice Fang / Quick Attack / Return / Swagger / Thunder Wave

Fire Fang and Ice Fang acquired only through breeding, so I put a lot of other choices just in case.

Roserade
Modest Nature
-Sunny Day / Shadow Ball
-Synthesis / Weather Ball
-Sludge Bomb
-Energy Ball / Giga Drain / Magical Leaf

Lopunny
Adamant/Jolly/Impish/Careful Nature
-Jump Kick
-Return
-Fire Punch / Ice Punch / Quick Attack / Rest / Swagger / Thunderpunch / Thunder Wave
-Fire Punch / Ice Punch / Quick Attack / Thunderpunch
