Have you ever dropped an anime?
If so, why did you drop it? Was the plot getting boring? The characters getting annoying? Or, was the artwork just...weird?

    Tell us your opinions :3

I've only dropped an anime when the plot vanishes. Like I tried watching Haruhi Suzumiya, but after a while the plot fell out. And as as result of that, I can barely remember anything about it anymore.

    I drop PLENTY of anime.
The annoying ones, or stupid ones, or low quality ones, the series that just didn't captivate enough.
If you watch heaps and heaps of anime and don't want to sit through hours of crap, then dropping something at some point is inevitable. Unless you're really picky to begin with.

Things like to stop watching the Pokémon/Yu-Gi-Oh/whatever anime pretty much counts as dropping as well I suppose, but in those cases I guess it's just you not really feeling like watching any more.

Hmm. Out of the nine anime series I've tried so far this season (the season that started last week), I've dropped three and I'm indecisive about two others.

I guess it's just basically coming to a realization that hey, I'm not gonna enjoy this. So why bother.

I've dropped Bleach because the plot just seemed to repeat itself and it was getting boring ><
I also dropped the English dub of Sailor Moon because the voice actor playing Serena/Sailor Moon was changed for series 3 and...aggghhhh! She annoyed the hell out of me >< But I plan to rewatch it in Japanese soon! ^w^
Lastly, I dropped Maria-sama ga miteru because I couldn't find the second series anywhere D:

Haruhi is great youre crazy for dropping it. Though the endless eight arc is probs why there's not another season.

I'm yet to drop anything but I have put Pokemon and one piece on hold until I can get Pokemon again and get all of one piece. I nearly dropped bleach in some arcs but got it after the fillers and just ended up watching the fillers later anyway.
The last exile is the closest I've gotten to completely dropping a series because it didn't really interest me and I didn't understand what was happening till episode 20. But I'm a completionist so had to finish it.

I dropped Bleach, the plot was becoming so boring, and the arcs are so damn long.

I also dropped Naruto for the same reasons.

    Death Note and YuGiOh 5D's..

Former got boring after the sixth episode and latter, I couldn't even remember what episode I was on, or half the facts.

Couldn't follow Death Note? damn, I hope you're really young or something.

I drop stuff all the time, last time I checked I had about 40 shows on my dropped list. I get bored easily I guess.

I gave Lucky Star a chance, but the first episode was so horrendously boring to me. I didn't even smile once from it. Now I don't know if that really counts as "dropping" it since it was the first episode, but I definitely didn't continue to watch it.

Bleach I definitely dropped. The manga is far superior; if you were to look up the term "filler" in the Great Anime Dictionary, you'd see a screenshot of Bleach.

    Keroro Gunsou and Pumpkin Scissors.
The main reason why I dropped KG was due to the length (plus, a lot of the episodes aren't subbed, as far as I know).
I can't really remember the reason why I dropped PumpSci, but it was probably due to how the story was structed, or something like that.

Out of the however many anime I've seen I've only dropped 8. I like to finish things I've started... even if it'll sit on-hold for a long long time.

    ~ D.Gray-man
I heard that it ended on a note where if you wanted to find out the rest of the story you had to read the manga. True or not I dropped it pretty much right then.

    ~ Kiba and Spiral
These sat on my "On-Hold" list for years before I just said "Forget it, I'll drop it".

~ Kiss x Sis, Sengoku Collection, and Usagi Drop
I started these thinking I wouldn't like them, and sure enough. Kiss x Sis was... stupid. Sengoku Collection is boring, and Usagi Drop is not my type of anime.

    ~ Yumekui Merry
I put this one on the back burner, then found out the ending was blah, so I dropped out.

    ~ Sankarea
I don't know what it is about this show... but it makes me sick... not the "ewww" sick, but it makes me queasy. I wanted to watch the show, but I just can't do it.

-Big O- The first season was excellent, then it gets to the second that Cartoon Network commissioned and bleh. Prime example as to why things need to be left alone when they end.

-Bleach- I liked it, but DAT FILLER.

-Chaos;HEAd, Vampire Knight: Guilty- Sat on my On Hold list for so long that I eventually just dropped it.

-Code Geass- I ended up losing cable a few episodes into its original AS run, and my friends proceeded to spoil everything -3- I tried to pick it up several times later on, but I just...couldn't.

-Case Closed/Detective Conan- Good, but way too long .-.

-Durarara!!- I tried to like it, but EVERY time something would start to happen it would break off into the backstory of some unrelated character. After a few episodes of this, I gave up on it.

-Persona: Trinity Soul- PAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Ha. Haha.

Apart from Pokemon - which I did drop when I was about 13 - I've always gone into anime that have been discrete pieces of work (as opposed to ones that just go on and on and on and on...) so I've always felt the need to finish what I started, especially to see if the series rebounds towards its end. The closest I've come was with Samurai Champloo, but by the time I just lost interest in it completely, there were only about 6 episodes to go, so I thought that I might as well stick it out... it didn't really improve, but at least it didn't get noticably worse. Well, apart from that god-awful baseball episode. Ugh.

I dropped more anime shows than I could even begin to count but if I had to name a few it would have to be Rosario Vampire and Kanokon due to those shows simply being unlikable in general if you ask me.

The one I was really sad about is the fact how Pokemon got so bad on T.V. Between the voices or the lack anime spirit I had to drop it but I still watch the classic one on boomerang everyday<3

I've dropped a few. I tried watching the english dub of Sailor Moon but the voice actors just got reeeally annoying. Then I tried the English sub of Sailor Moon and got to episode 3 until I realized how many episodes there were and how hard it is to find them on the internet. I also dropped Pokemon because imo the anime has been going on for far too long. I still watch the classic one though.

I also dropped a few others like Bleach, ect ect. It just had way too many episodes and there was so much to keep up with, haha. So I just dropped it. Plus it never really peaked my interest anyways. The episodes got kind of repetitive after a while.

I haven't really dropped many though. I've tried to keep up with the two I'm watching for as long as I can (Lucky Star and Gurren Lagann). They both seem interesting enough to me. Been reccomended to me many times, anyways so I thought I'd finally watch them after procrastinating for so long. Anyways now I'm just rambling. Yeah. I've dropped a few animes here and there, but I try to finish all the ones I watch.
