Happy Witching Week! For those of you under 65 and/or do not know what Bingo is:

Bingo is a game of chance in which each player matches the numbers printed in different arrangements on cards. The game host (a caller) draws at random, marking the selected numbers with tiles. When a player finds that the selected numbers are arranged on their card in a winning pattern, they call out "Bingo!" to alert all participants to a winning card.

We play it a little differently here with a Pokémon twist (and, this time around, a Halloween Pokémon twist), but the basic principles are the same!

• Each round will be a Pokémon type.

• When the theme is announced, participants will have roughly 24 hours to create and post their Bingo cards, filling it with Pokémon from the chosen type.

• Twice a day (at 10 AM PST and 10 PM PST), I will randomly pull 10 Pokémon/items of the category and post them here.

• Reminders of drawing time, wins, round starting/ending will be posted to the Discord bulletin as well - if you would like to be notified, you can add the role @Retirement Home for pings about the event.

• Players are responsible for keeping track of their own cards and marking off any called numbers on it, and the round will run until someone gets a winning pattern! The new winning patterns for this Halloween event will be below, we are not counting the usual 5-in-a-row this game.

• A new type will then be announced, and the game will repeat until the end of the event.

As previously mentioned, we are not doing the typical 5-in-a-row winning patterns this event! I've put together a few themed and more challenging patterns of spooky iconography, and a "Z" and "A" pattern to celebrate the release of the new game as well:

These are the only winning patterns accepted and we will play it by ear - obviously the games are going to be a lot longer and it will take longer to hit Bingo, so if necessary I may draw more per round than the usual 10 if it really drags. But this also means you won't be scrambling to make new cards as often, so go ham on the designs if you like!

Once a theme has been announced, you will have 24 hours to make and fill out your Bingo card with Pokémon adhering to the theme.

Here is a basic template, and you are more than welcome to use this one, but feel free to customize and put your own spin on it or make your own from scratch, as long as it follows the convention of being a 5x5 grid with a 'free' tile in the center.

I will take note of all cards posted before the round begins, and then throughout the round you can just edit your post with your updated card (marking off any called Pokémon you have on it).

It doesn't have to be fancy - you can do this with any editing software, even like Paint or your phone's gallery editor, as long as the Pokémon names on your card are discernible and you have a way of marking them off.

If you have a winning pattern, make a new post saying "BINGO!" to alert everyone of your win.

Drew the usual 2-minute Paint Pokemon, default brush only (and maybe a black fill for the background). Made a surprisingly decent Sigilyph. Expected to lose lots of time on color switching. Helped to not go into the weeds on different shades. Only made one custom color (the light green). Did not have quite enough time for the wings and top eye, but close.
