Thank you all for showing up and playing, smaller crowd outside of GT but I appreciate it even more that y'all still stick around despite it not being for points or anything

I anticipate some mixed reviews on this, but how did we feel about doing different winning patterns like this? Too dragged out? Maybe something slightly simpler next time or still largely prefer to stick to the regular 5-in-a-row Bingo for future games? I see the pros and cons of sticking to one card longer, I do feel bad sometimes in GT games when people spend more time on their cards than the rounds go and then they gotta make another, but I'm sure some people just want to play the game too, on the other hand. Love to hear all your thoughts!

I feel like a winner despite of not getting a bingo because getting 20 or more hits without a bingo is statistically at least as hard as getting a bingo. Different winning patterns were fun and refreshing change.

One way to stick to one card longer is to have three phases with different winning patterns in the round like this:

hecka late but I think I got a bingo as well, for the first pattern! My first one so I'm pretty excited and wanted to show it off even if I only managed to catch up from the last 2 days of draws now!!

Seemed fine. Liked the different patterns. Made certain spaces more valuable than others, but different than standard Bingo's values. May have been a little too hard to Bingo, though. Bordered on Blackout Bingo (or felt like it).

Ran 10000 simulations of Bingo. Drew from a pool of 100 Pokemon, 1 Pokmeon at a time (not 10 at once). Stopped at the first Bingo.

Ended on Star the most frequently at about 1 in 3 Bingos. Won with Grave about 10% of the time, the lowest of all patterns.

Averaged Bingos on all patterns at around 87 or 88 Pokemon (rounded up), except with Star being the exception at about 84.

Notably got 14420 Bingos in 10000 tests. Bingoed on multiple patterns quite often. Reiterates this being 1 Pokemon at a time too, not 10 at once.

Wondered if some patterns Bingoed together more than others.

• Bingo on Grave. Also has Spike 59% of the time and Z 43% of the time.
• Bingo on A. Also got one on Star 36% of the time. Bingoed alongside Moon and Skull 2% of the time each (the lowest of all correlations).

Edit: One more stat. Bingoed on Grave alone 158 times out of 10000 simulations, or 1.58% of the time.

Edit2: And a graph too. Displays how many Bingos were at each draw number. Most common ending draw number: 91 (521 Bingos out of 10000). Hit about a 25% Bingo chance by 79 draws, a 50% chance by 86 draws, and a 75% chance by 91 draws.


Takeaway: May have overlapped too much on some patterns. Consider dropping the number of squares per pattern by...2? Should still take quite a few draws. Maybe add an 8th pattern as well? (Normally works with 12 patterns in standard Bingo.)
