Hnggg so excited, can't wait! England have been hyped up to do really well but with Engelbert I really don't see that happening D: I think Russia's entry will be adorable though assuming they stuck with the old women; one of them barely even seemed to know what was going on xD

I see that the UK had reason to be hyped up- 12 points XD At least they weren't bottom of table. It happened the same to us and we only got 10th place. As ever.

Anyway, Sweden was a nice entry and maybe I don't get their smashing results but it wasn't a completely random win. But my absolute favourites were Turkey, oh my god that was so bizarre. That's why i love the contest XD

I was wondering whether you'd post this for another year and here it is. :D

I'm not bothered about GB winning or not anymore, I'm glad the winning entry was a good song for once and all the votes weren't completely political.

Eurovision was pretty good. I swear the songs get more boring every year but there was some really awesome stuff in there (Russia's grannies being the standout for me) and some at least sort of catchy songs I guess? Although I'm surprised that they won, I guess Sweden's song wasn't too bad.

...tbh I'm comment on other entries but I don't really remember any of them. Make of that what you will.

    So who won?

I had a family gathering at my house tonight that I really didn't want to be there for, so I told my Mum I had been invited to a Eurovision party. I really can't stand Eurovision so I told the people that invited me to their party that I had a family gathering at my house. Then I went out with my friend to see The Avengers.

So in case my family ask me questions about how the party was, I need to know some details of what it was like and who won etc XD

I watched all of last night's show and both semis and am so glad Sweden won. It is a fantastic song what is currently #1 in loads of countries and riding high in several other charts too. As a big Eurovision fan, I quite liked most of the songs this year.

Whilst the UK result was disappointing, it was pretty fair. We were poor last night and didn't deserve a good result. I just wish the BBC would send better artists (they could be a complete unknown, just someone who can actually sing and has a good song).

Sweden were a more than worthy winner. Euphoria is great (its already at No.1 in the UK I-Tunes and loads of other countries around Europe). I didn't agree with many of the other results though. Serbia wasn't that good but it got third, Spain were completely under-rated at tenth (should have been more like second), Ireland did a lot worse than I was expecting... strange results, but the result that actually counts was the right one :)

Yeah. I predict good things for this song in the coming weeks. This has the potential of becoming a massive summer hit worldwide and finally put Eurovision back in the public's good books (in the UK at least).

I love how people thought that Englebert Humperdinck was going to be the UK's saviour of Eurovision! And with that song as well! People can be wonderfully naive at times... although I did cringe every time Graham Norton kept saying how wonderful he was.

Anyhoo, the ceremony itself was fine, but not great, on either a performance level or a WTFISHAPPENINGWITHTHEPRODUCTIONVALUESANDTHECRAPPYHOSTS? level. It was surprisingly polished with very limited technical snafus - the snafus of which, for me, are always a highlight of Eurovision. Still, people seemed to enjoy themselves, and a good song won, so I'm sort of happy.

Although this did make me laugh a lot, even if she subsequently retracted her statement. It just reminded me immensely of Father Ted. :D

haha, i remember everyone in Leicester was saying, "Oh Englebert Humperdinck is going to win just because he's from Leicester and he's amazing" and to be honest i thought so too, until i heard the song, god that was awful..

What were England thinking? Engelbert was alright but he ranked pretty low.

Sweden's entry was cool, she had an amazing voice and deserved the win.

I mean, Russia's entry was pretty unique btw.

Can't wait for Eurovision 2013, which will be in Sweden.

Euphoria is #2 in the UK midweeks and Loreen appeared on BBC Breakfast yesterday. This is already set to be the biggest hit to come from Eurovision since Gina G and the highest charting non-UK entry since Johnny Logan's Hold Me Now.

One thing I was getting annoyed at was when Graham Norton kept opening his mouth when I was trying to hear what was going on.

Besides that, Sweden definitely deserved to win with an amazing song like that. I wasn't that bothered about how UK was gonna do. The biggest shock of the night was when Croatia gave 12 points to Serbia..... I thought those 2 countries hated each other.

The last entry in Eurovision...... They think it's Moldova, it is now.
