3rd Gen 4 MAIN pokemon ONLY 2 HM slaves

anyone have any comments bout 4 man battling pokemon and 2 HM slaves? my main motive is the battle frontier. so since it only uses 3 pokemon. i think 4 would be fine with one as back up. I am lazy to put the hm slaves in the PC and withdraw them only when useful so... ya comments plz? =) thx

Meh, I have a main team with 1~2 HM move per Pokemon in my Emerald... I simply raised some more Pokemon for Frontier (currently on 9 BF Pokemon).

erm ok.. but isnt (some) hm moves on battling pokemon a little wated? cos they arent that good in battles... i thought of using four main is because the exp will be more concentrated..

I believe that between Tentacruel and Linoone, you can have every HM move except Fly, which isn't that huge a deal, so 2 HM slaves and 4 real combatants is probably just fine. Plus it lets you drag around a Linoone for Pickups.
Incidentally, slave Linoones and Tentacruels with the right natures and EVs can actually fight computer opponents halfway decently because of Strength/Surf.

Y'mean I was right?! Yeah! *Dances, because her teams usually suck* I used to use them as my HM slaves all the time in Ru/Sa! :P Although I didn't often have them out at the same time, lol.
