Hello. For those of you who don't already know me, my name is ACC. And I am a Netbattle noob. I have logic, and that's about it, so I really lack the proper strategic skills to set a team up. Hence, I come here. For everything.

Now, before I give you the team that it will be everyone's pleasure to rate or flame as needed, I must let you know a little bit about the background of its creation. One day, I was playing Netbattle, and I ran across- on the SMOGON server, no less- a guy with a team that had its power quantified at fifty percent. I decided to battle him just to see what the heck his team was. Surprisingly, he led off with a Pikachu, then moved on to Squirtle, Bubasaur, Charizard, Butterfree, and Pidgeot. I beat them all, of course, with ease, and laughed about it with the guy. Apparently, he had decided to make a joke team based off of Ash's season one team from the popular anime. I told him it would be funny if we battle a season one team against the season two. To my surprise, he agreed with me, and after I beat him I decided to buy into the joke. Dredging up my old, notsalgic memories of watching the show, I created a team worthy of someone much cooler then Ash, albeit with the same lineup. When I was finished, somebody else with a much stronger joke team challenged me, and I came close to wiping him out. (Okay, okay, he was overconfident and sacrificed two Pokemon, but still, I mean, I had four basic Pokemon on my team. Well, anyway, here it is: my serious joke team. Seriously.

    Pikachu (Pikashipper)@Light Ball
    Timid Nature
Evs: 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Spd.
    Substitute
    Surf
    Thunderbolt
    Wish

Yeah, the best I could think of. It did catch a few people by surprise, though.

    Totodile (Dancadile)@Liechi Berry
    Naughty Nature
EVs: Atk. 252, Spd. 88, Sp. Atk. 164
    Hydro Pump
    Return
    Rock Slide
    Swords Dance

Yeah, I couldn't think of anything for this one. Abysmally poor moveset and the inability to effectively do much of anything made me nearly strangle the poor thing and put it out of its misery.

    Cyndaquil (Mr. Timid)@Focus Band
    Rash Nature
EVs: Hp 32, Speed 220, Sp. Atk. 252
    Flamethrower
    Hidden Power (water)
    Swagger
    Toxic

I couldn't think of anything better. Help me, please.

    Noctowl (Mr. Shiny Owl)@Leftovers
    Relaxed Nature
Evs: HP 116, Atk. 100, Def. 180, Sp. Atk. 100
    Aerial Ace
    Psychic
    Reflect
    Whirwind

Yeah, I can't shake the suspicion that I murdered this one...

    Bayleef (Ash's Lover)@Leftovers
    Bold Nature
EVs: HP 144, Def. 108, Sp. Def. 248
    Razor Leaf
    Grasswhistle
    Leech Seed
    Reflect

Yeah, I think I got this one right. Emphasis on "Think".

    Heracross (Mr. Horn)@ Choice Band
    Naughty Nature
    EVs: 252 Atk., 252 Spd.
    Megahorn
    Facade
    Reversal
    Rock Slide

    Better moveset, anyone?

Yeah, that was it. The weirdest team you'll rate all day. Feel free to scream at me as needed.

I will give a go. Fixes in bold:

    Pikachu (Pikashipper)@Light Ball
    Timid Nature
Evs: 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Spd.
    - Substitute
    - Surf
    - Thunderbolt
    - Hidden Power [Grass]/Hidden Power [Ice]

Yeah, the best I could think of. It did catch a few people by surprise, though.

If you have tried to use Wish by now, you should know that you are simply sacrificing your Pikachu. If that is by design, I would reconsider. Choose an HP instead.

    Totodile (Dancadile)@Choice Band
    EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Brick Break/Focus Punch

    - Return
    - Rock Slide
    - Aerial Ace

Yeah, I couldn't think of anything for this one. Abysmally poor moveset and the inability to effectively do much of anything made me nearly strangle the poor thing and put it out of its misery.

Good luck with that thing. It cannot switch in on anything, it cannot kill anything, and it cannot withstand anything. Don't bother with Liechi or Hydro Pump either. CB and Adamant is the most you can ask for.

    Cyndaquil (Mr. Timid)@Petaya Berry
    EVs: HP 6 / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
    - Fire Blast
    - Hidden Power [Grass]
    - Reversal
    - Substitute

I couldn't think of anything better. Help me, please.

I wouldn't waste EVs by trying to spread them properly. These things need speed and power if you want ANY chance of scoring even a win against a noob. Best I can offer.

    Noctowl (Mr. Shiny Owl)@Leftovers
    Evs: 252 HP / 96 Def / 160 SDef
    - Hypnosis

    - Psychic/Rest
    - Reflect
    - Toxic

Yeah, I can't shake the suspicion that I murdered this one...

Sorry, but Noctowl was murdered long before it was added to your team. At least it is a FEP though, right? Relaxed isn't helping you much. Go with Calm instead. Its only usefulness is its solid HP and SDef (100 and 96, respectfully). Its base Atk (50) is too low to use Aerial Ace, so don't bother. I would suggest double status here. Sleep/poison. Reflect helps out its own weak Def stat, not to mention the rest of the team. You can go with Rest over Psychic to make it last a little longer, just remember NOT to use the Insomnia Trait with it.

    Bayleef (Ash's Lover)@Leftovers
EVs: HP 252, Def. 176, Sp. Def. 80
    Bold Nature
    - Synthesis
    - Giga Drain/Hidden Power [Grass]/Counter

    - Leech Seed
    - Reflect/Light Screen

Yeah, I think I got this one right. Emphasis on "Think".

Max HP EVs. It needs it. Not sure if the rest of the spread works. Bayleef without Synthesis is a very sad Bayleef. Giga Drain helps keep it in the game, but you might want to consider Counter, especially since I would suggest Light Screen over Reflect. With LS up, the natural inclination of your opponent will be to attack physically. Plus LS allows you to switch to one of your teammates without them getting heinously murdered.

    Heracross (Mr. Horn)@ Leftovers
    EVs: 252 HP / 132 Atk / 68 Spd / 56 SDef
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) / Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

    - Megahorn
    - Rest
    - Sleep Talk

    - Rock Slide

    Better moveset, anyone?

At least you have one decent player here. I would go with Stalkercross. Absorbs status and dishes out pain with Guts/Sleep Talk.

Yeah, that was it. The weirdest team you'll rate all day. Feel free to scream at me as needed.
As long as you can handle the ridicule from opponents who don't understand what this team is for, you should be okay. You will still be able to take down most noobs though. Good luck.

Much thanks, professor. I'll begin the transformation right away... anyway, yeah, it's a good thing you helped me out, here. Surprisingly, no one has asked me about the team itself- I've had more people ask me why my automatic loss message is "You are a beautiful, lovely teen demon." Honestly, doesn't anyone else read Dragon Half scanslations? Yeah, I'm off to fix my jokes.
