A Pokemon Based Off Of A Real Animal...

    So it's clearly obvious that freak has exploited lots of animals as their template for pokemon:p. my question is, what animals have they not used yet, that you would like to see become the basis for a new pokemon concept? I think that a gorrila esque pokemon would be cool.

    Well, we've got the platypus... as far as I can recall. Perhaps the infamous clownfish too, I can't remember any electric-immune fish that's based on that one..
    Also, does there excist any zebra-based pokes? Hmmm
     
    Definitely a goat. A fire type goat... that would be sweet.

    I don't think you should try to take a animal and turn it into a Pokemon. You're just asking for trouble.
     
    We seriously need to have a pokemon based off a roadrunner. It'd be kind of like Doduo, I suppose, but with one head. And fast.

    While we're at it, why not have a coyote pokemon? I know Mighteyena is kind of life a wolf, but hey. They're different.

    A fly pokemon would be cool. Like, a regular fly.

    While we're at it we might as well have a mosquito pokemon.

    And we don't have enough pokemon love for slime molds and mushrooms. Although they aren't really animals. While we're there I think it'd be cool to have a one-celled pokemon that forms together in a colony to act as one (like the Portugese man of war).

    Which reminds me that we need a sea urchin pokemon. Cloyster doesn't do enough. We should also have a sea cucumber pokemon, that would be sick.

    And pokemon parasites would be realistic. When you catch a pokemon have a certain chance that a parasite pokemon might come along with it. That'd be interesting. Like a flea, or a leech, or maybe even a tapeworm or something.

    And I know it's not an animal (it's a protist), but there is no pokemon for Giant Kelp. That would make a sweet Grass/Water type.

    No not all Pokemon.
    And besides, you don't know what they intended each Pokemon to be based off, especially when all of them are based off more then one thing.

    there also needs to be a cat pokemon that
    1. isn't use only for cuteness
    2. isn't used only for the fact that it is butt ugly

    a LEMUR pokemon!

    I believe this thread has officially been won. :P

    come ot think of it, we still don't have very many pokemon based off of fungal growths (other than the handful of mushroom pokemon which are incorrectly labelled as plants by their grass-typing). We need moar fungal and bacterial poison-type pokemon. >:O
     
    Maybe a sort of a dinosaur Pokémon.. sorry if there already is :D
     
    Are there any pig Pokemon? I don't know half of them, and if there isn't I would love a cute little pig Pokemon. ^_^

    Whauuuut??? Okay what else do you think rattata is based off of? Come on now. No offense or anything, but most people can tell the animal basis of a a poke (unless it doesn't have one).

    It would be cool if they used more dinosaurs for ideas:p Plently left to exploit there!
