Event: A Winter Wonderland of Events! [Seeking EOs]

Coming off the heels of our Halloween Witching Week, we are looking to start planning for a month-long Winter Wonderland of events!

As we know December is a busy time of year for everyone with the holidays, our intention for this longer period of events is to create a more chill, relaxed environment where people can come and play a few games or participate in activities whenever they have the time to. If you are familiar with our annual Get-Togethers, you can think of it like a longer but slower-paced version of that, without the competition.

And like our Get-Togethers, right now, we are looking for Event Organisers to help run events! If you have an idea that you think will fit in with what we are planning, please sign up here and we will get you into the planning forum as soon as possible.

We are hoping to begin the festivities early December (Winter Wonderland will run from December 7th to January 4th), so depending on when you sign up, you will have almost the entire month of November to plan your events, as well as give and receive feedback. Note that although the entirety of the festival will run through most of December, your event does not have to be that long - it's fine if you anticipate your event may only run for a week or a few days.

Hi, I would like to join for a Pokémon UNITE event. There is usually the winter holidays map available during the season. I promise not to cancel it. I think I found the issue I had last time, and it was not on my end. And I will continue with the event even if it's with only one participant. And if there aren't many art events maybe try the speed art again. Apologies for what happened last get together and I would be grateful to be able to host both events if possible.

I would love to have some casual (or competitive) TCG pocket battles too! Mostly to show off some of my favorite arts, illustration full-art or not haha

I too have been playing since launch and with the 2 week free trial membership, I racked up quite the collection, of over 500 cards and like 200 unique ones almost?

A tournament would be super fun and I'd try to battle with as many people as I can! 😊

And I was LITERALLY about to share the same idea, Christmasy/Winter Holiday themed anime episodes! I'm sure a lot of us here remember as kids, just about every year watching those classic old-timey Christmas cartoons with the family, like Rudolph, Santa claus comes to town, jack frost, maybe even the ORIGINAL Rudolph? (my brother had a dvd with dozens of classic christmas cartoon shorts including that one.) Really nostalgic and heartwarming, good quality time (:
So for this next part, I don't think there's anything wrong with these, so don't get me wrong please! XD
But me personally, I "grew" out of this, and my way to celebrate now, since many years ago, is to put on my Christmas music playlist that I put together and continue to add to, from my own personal library on my phone, of christmas and winter-themed Korean and Japanese music, as well as stuff from anime, soundtracks, all that jazz!

From "Sound of the Holidays" in BNHA Season 5, to Uwa!! So Holiday🎵" by Toby Fox from Undertale, to everlasting snow by Aimer, or Beautiful Christmas by RV and aespa!

Basically anything that has Winter or Christmas in the name of the song / album (: There's also the whole soundtrack from the Re:Zero Winter special!

For me this is perfect for getting into the joyful Christmas spirit! I try to listen to the whole thing all the way thru, either in order, or shuffled, at least once a year every December and so far it has 100 tracks in it, without a single American/English song. That's my tradition now. Rather than the typical overplayed stuff you hear on the radio and in every stinkin store, restaurant, etc, and probably wherever you work all day too, from literally the day after Halloween ends to the day of the Spring Equinox or later 😂
For me that got old pretty quick, since they di it every single year... This helps me get into it more, that other stuff really doesn't. But not saying others can't enjoy it!! Just not for me, this is my explanation haha

Maybe someone here can relate at least a little bit?

What I had really meant to get to tho 😅 Is the anime episodes, I can make a huge list of all the festive anime episodes (not any for Pokémon sadly but I do remember a few, mostly the vintage stuff that some may not even know tbh. But because of that I can't guarantee that you'd be able to find it anywhere unless you somehow own it physically) that people could watch during this snowy season! Including one of my personal favorites, Toradora! (which my playlist has a song from, and god I love it so much ❤️) If you haven't watched it tho, maybe don't because it's toward the end of the anime and thus it has spoilers. But you've got time now (maybe) to watch it so you can get to that part in time ^_^

I guess it'd mostly be a list with episodes you would have already seen but since forgotten? And it'd be more of a solo thing, but I still wanted to share. I still think the stream with Pokémon episodes is a good idea!

I play Unite (: I'm a 99.999% ranked player tho (sounds rough and mentally exhausting ik, but I manage 😂) but I'm sure people don't wanna deal with ranked at Christmas time, so I'd be okay with standard battles, on any map. Or some quick battles. I'm just most used to the Rayquaza map so please have some patience with me haha
(I'm training for the Pokémon World Championships, this is why I stick to what I stick to!)
Especially with the holiday maps... I tend to really suck at those I will be completely honest with you. So as long as you're not too worried about winning, and won't give me a hard time, I'll do those special quick battles with anyone who wants to! I can play any role btw so feel free to ask if you think a certain role or Pokémon would suit the map better or that you work well with! I'm very flexible and a jack of all trades 😄

I don't use voice chat anymore because that gets very toxic, and I don't want to banned from it (in case I need it in extremely rare situations), or worse: be banned from the game entirely...

I'll keep my DMs open as well! Unless a thread could be made for this or something? 🤔

Don't worry, what's important is to have fun. Normal / standard and quick maps would be the main focus. Rankeds would be only if the majority want to play in ranked mode for a few matches. Voice chat would be optional but not necessary using the pokecommunity event voice channel for those who would want to communicate during matches. I don't use in game chat either for the same reasons.
